i had mixed feelings about this restaurant. the food was delicious, however i do think the portion size was not favorable to the cost. i got a chance to try a few new things on my bowl that i haven't had before, like chickpeas, squash, & zucchini, but despite me really enjoying my bowl, i wasn't a fan of how inconsistent the portion sizes were. two returning guests came shortly after us & had their bowls stacked, meanwhile, it seemed as if they were a bit more stingy with our bowls. i came with a guest and he purchased a shrimp bowl for $20 after tax. that's really expensive, specifically bc there were only 5 shrimps on the stick. i wouldn't return to this location but i'd consider trying one closer to home. read more

Food: My wife and I went to this restaurant and got falafel and Chicken with shrimp, respectfully. I felt the chicken needed more seasoning but overall tasted fresh and tender. The shrimp was on point. The best of all was the Pilaf rice- omg great! My wife did not like the falafel as they were backed. She preferred the falafel to be fried- maybe in avocado oil? The food here was very good- reminded me of a Chipotle, (in terms of the set up and concept) but for Mediterranean food. You can choose between a wrap or a plate, and I chose the Create Your Own Chicken Pita, and dressed it with mixed greens, corn, cabbage, red onion, spicy hummus, feta, and tzatziki. It was delicious. I have been to the Eons location in Paramus before and was excited when they opened one up in Montvale. I haven't been to it before. One night my husband and I wanted to pick up dinner and something that wasn't too unhealthy so we decided to go there. We went around 7 o'clock and the place was empty. The staff members that were working were extremely friendly. I had a bowl with brown rice, gyro meat and some delicious toppings. My husband had a pita with gyro meat. We did not add any extras to our meals. I was shocked that the two meals cost over $30 dollars! We could have gone out to dinner for that price. The food was delicious and it seemed fresh. My bowl was large, but I still think it was a lot of money. I would like to go back, but don't know how often we will because of the price. read more

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Weve been going there about every third week since they opened. Food was always up to par.The last three times were horrible. We didn't notice who made our dishes the first time last month but there was someone we never saw before. Anyway the Yeero was dry and tasted like cardboard. And our formerly satisfied families didn't get the extra skordalia we ordered. And quantity as never before was cut in half. The next time was worse. Again, the Yeero was dry and had zero flavor. The amount again was a pittance compared to before. Now we're getting really annoyed. The last time about four days ago, we both watched. The smiling cashier was friendly as usual. He didn't get us our food. The Yeero was not only tasteless but it came out.rolled tightly and was as hard as dry mud. The entire felafel order consisted of three half balls that were also flavorless and rock solid. At the start, we even made it a point to tell them about the previous two orders and we both felt like the person making the order ignored us and gave us the worst product possible. That would be a sick individual. So we ask other customers to be cautious. We will give them one more try. If the food is again either 1. Tasteless, 2. Dry or 3. Barely there, we will be examining the food as we get it with photos, call the health dep't, post this to our blog of over 22,500 subscribers and hopefully they'll all join us in a boycott's. read more

After a positive lunch experience at the EONS Greek Food for Life Paramus location, I agreed to try the Montvale one for dinner with family. We arrived at the restaurant within their final hour of the evening, and we were not sure what ingredients would be left for us to work with. While they were already sold out of a few items, such as the steak, they still had just enough components to create our desired meals. I started my bowl with some Spinach and added Chicken as my protein. For my two sides, I opted for the Lentil Salad with sun-dried tomatoes and red onions and the Roasted Beets with citrus olive oil. Lastly, I added complimentary Olives and got Tzadziki sauce on the side. I thought everything was surprisingly fresh and delicious, especially given the late hour. Also, each item had been incorporated at decent portion levels. My only complaint was that the chicken was a bit bland and mealy. (The delicious falafel I had had in Paramus, and the diced Lamb my family had from Montvale seemed to be better selections.) Overall, EONS is a fabulous quick-serve restaurant that serves up bright, healthy, Mediterranean fare at affordable prices. I am sorry to say but the man taking care of my order did not understand what his gloves were for. He handled cash, he handled the food, as well as cleaning up- WITH THE SAME GLOVES! I am sorry but am I the only one that knows that money is filthy? In other restaurants, the hand that touches money is NEVER the same hand that touches the food. Gloves need to be changed or have one person as a cashier and another is touching the food. The staff here need to be educated about basic common sense regarding cleanliness. So excited there's a location now in Montvale!!!! I love the food because it's organic and it's clean. The staff is awesome and ordering is a breeze. The menu is pretty straight forward and the portions are just right. There is something for everyone: the vegetarians, the carnivores, and the seafood lovers. All options are great and delicious. On Wednesday 3/16/22 I placed an online order and when I called the Montvale location to let them know I was outside ready for my curbside I found out their phone line was not working. Due to COVID restrictions I have to follow I was not able to go inside the establishment to get my order. I then decided to call the Paramus location to see if somehow they could get in contact with the Montvale location and let them know of my situation. That's when Nick came to the rescue! Not only he was super nice but he got in contact with them and within 5 min the order was with me. SHOUT-OUT to Nick for displaying excellent customer service! This single experience will definitely make me not only continue to support this business but also tell my friends about it. Now let's talk about the food. The chicken and gyro (yeero) wraps were so delicious, fresh and satisfying. The chicken had a nice charred taste. Definitely big portions. Now, the baklava could be improved. It was soggy and it lacked the nutty crunchy aspect. One small recommendation would be for the online ordering page to have a section where we could notate details about the curbside order like car model and notify the store upon arrival. It's not bad. The food usually comes out pretty tasty. The only real problem is the price. Also, as a minor challenge, the menu is limited. My daughter usually gets bowls and I get pita wraps. The ingredients seems fresh for the most part too. I'm not sure if it's authentically Greek/Mediterranean as a complete dish. But, all ingredients seems Mediterranean..... Close enough for me. Like I said, they are pretty tasty. The price at 12.25$ for chicken wrap seems a bit excessive. Souvlaki at other places are 8 to 9'ish dollars. Am I being cheap for being critical over 3 $ difference ? Maybe, but that's like 30% higher cost, which I feel is significant. Despite the higher cost, we do go here decently often because the food is decent, consistent, and quick. When I first tried EON'S at another location I wasn't too much of a fan. But when I came here my opinion changed completely. I don't know if it was the great service I received the moment I walked in that made me think differently of this place or maybe they prepare the food better at this location but I'm glad I gave it another try! The food tasted great and everything was so fresh. I got steak in my bowl as well as rice and some greens (you can do half and half!), chickpea salad, and greek salad. I tend to switch "toppings" often ranging from the eggplant to tzadziki to hummus but everything is great. My only complaints about this place is that there is a limit on the things you can add on (they start charging extra) and some of the drinks they offer (a mango juice of some type last time) is extremely watered down. Overall a really solid place to grab a fast and "healthy" dinner for me. read more

During this turbulent time of Covid 19, this place is a bright spot. I ordered the Eons chicken wrap it had grilled chicken, feta, tzadziki, fresh greens, pita wrap, all fresh ingredients. It was amazing and delicious it almost made me feel normal except I had to in my car instead of in the restaurant. Yes its fast food Greek but the fresh ingredients they use are high quality. Healthy eating at its best. I hope they survive this Covid-19 mess, as well as I did, so we can enjoy there food for years to come. I will be ordering again this week. read more

I am very pleased with Eons, the food and the staff. They're always friendly and very helpful. (Especially during this pandemic. They would even walk my order out to the front door- so kind!) The food is delicious, healthy, fresh and there's lots of options to choose from. It's not pretentious but down to earth. Very approachable. My husband and I are selective about eating out but we both agree on this spot. In fact it's the only spot we grab dinner to go from. We love to create our own bowls using a base of salad greens, lamb or chicken, with a combination of either hummus, beet salad, gigantes, lemon potatoes, the veggie of the day, tzatziki or some other salad. We love to finish it off with olives, feta, tzatziki and a drizzle of lemon, olive oil vinaigrette. Healthy doesn't mean bland. We love this place. We hope to have it around always. read more
