Food: My wife and I went to this restaurant and got falafel and Chicken with shrimp, respectfully. I felt the chicken needed more seasoning but overall tasted fresh and tender. The shrimp was on point. The best of all was the Pilaf rice- omg great! My wife did not like the falafel as they were backed. She preferred the falafel to be fried- maybe in avocado oil? However!- the portion size of the protein was small. The portion size felt underwhelming compared to to the other toppings and the price for the protein option was kind of high.

Another great family institution from Humble beginnings with care for the American appetite and diet. I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality and love this family owned restaurant provided the elite squad and their patrons. There's definitely a lot of love and care that goes into meal prep and menu design. The place is clean and elegant and brightly designed. I would absolutely visit again!

The food here was very good- reminded me of a Chipotle, (in terms of the set up and concept) but for Mediterranean food. You can choose between a wrap or a plate, and I chose the Create Your Own Chicken Pita, and dressed it with mixed greens, corn, cabbage, red onion, spicy hummus, feta, and tzatziki. It was delicious. The chicken was very tender and the flavors went together very well. The staff was also friendly and accomodating. Great if you are looking for something fast, good, and satisfying!

The family who owns EONS is so sweet! Loved their background story! The food was great and healthy. Great portions and endless tolling options. Yumm! The place is decorated so cute. On top of this they also own SQ Pizza right across the parking lot and the gelato there was AMAZING!

Another establishment with a build-your-own approach - which I'm always a fan of - with a Greek/Mediterranean flair. You can opt for one of their signature creations, or start with a base (pita, rice, salad, or a combo) and top up with your choice of protein, sides, spread/topping, and sauce(s). The meals I've had here are tasty, healthy, filling, and quite generously portioned. I like the chicken and shrimp, though found the steak a little tough - but I always regret ordering pre-cut steak pretty much everywhere. The service is quick and friendly, and the restaurant is clean and calm, with good music playing in the background that's not too loud. It's well-located in the same plaza at the Shoppes at di Piero Farms where Wegman's also is.

I have been to the Eons location in Paramus before and was excited when they opened one up in Montvale. I haven't been to it before. One night my husband and I wanted to pick up dinner and something that wasn't too unhealthy so we decided to go there. We went around 7 o'clock and the place was empty. The staff members that were working were extremely friendly. I had a bowl with brown rice, gyro meat and some delicious toppings. My husband had a pita with gyro meat. We did not add any extras to our meals. I was shocked that the two meals cost over $30 dollars! We could have gone out to dinner for that price. The food was delicious and it seemed fresh. My bowl was large, but I still think it was a lot of money. I would like to go back, but don't know how often we will because of the price.

I got a child sized bowl with rice, salad, tatziki, chicken breast and apple juice. The chicken was so moist and flavorful. I asked for a spicy sauce but they gave me this awesome mango infused dipping sauce that I really enjoyed. Clean. Quick service. Loved it.

Wild Shrimp Salad Bowl

Whenever I go to Eons, I always get the wild shrimp signature bowl. It hits the spot every time! I always get it to go. Every time I go in, I'm greeted by staff and they are always friendly. The shrimp tastes fresh each time and there is so much flavor in the bowl. Writing this review has me craving this bowl again!

I tend to like my octopus on the crispy side with grill marks. The two platter entres were both delicious and large portions. Another great benefit is the restaurant is byob and you can bring your favorite wine or beer. I will come back to try more items on their menu.

This time we chose to pick out whole fish, added a steak for the table, and a number of other dishes. Loved the round table vs typical rectangle which provides more interaction and sharing for large groups. Drinks were divine and the wait staff was incredibly attentive. I have been here as a party of two where service was subpar. But perhaps because we dropped $1k for dinner this time it made a difference? (rhetorical)

I ordered the Chilean sea bass and was genuinely surprised by the preparation. It's such a prime piece of fish, but the heavy onion and tomato topping completely overpowered it. Unfortunately, the onion was still raw, which made the dish even more difficult to enjoy. It felt like the quality of the fish was lost beneath the garnish. The scallops were similarly confusing. Pairing seared scallops with a version of eggplant parmesan didn't feel cohesive, and the flavors competed rather than complemented one another. As for the appetizers, they fell flat. The hamachi lacked brightness and flavor, and the ground tuna and salmon quenelles did not taste particularly fresh. I do want to emphasize that the service was excellent, as it always has been, and the restaurant remains beautiful, clean, and well maintained. That consistency is part of why I've been a loyal guest for so many years. I'm sharing this because I care about the restaurant and hope this was simply an off night. I look forward to returning and experiencing the level of quality I've come to expect. Tell the chef to really taste the food and not ever send anything that isn't up to par for the reputation that Varka has maintained for many many years

You have to dine in to see what I mean. Parking is a little tricky, but street parking is available and could be free depending on the time of day you arrive but be prepared to walk or circle a bit before being able to secure your spot. Also highly recommend a reservation for a weekend as it was packed. In addition to the regular menu, they also had specials which our fabulous waiter took us through. We got a bunch of appetizers for the table to split and each got our own entrée. For a group of 4 we ordered more than enough and everything was fabulous. For starters, we had a trio of dips with pita, the pear arugula salad, crab cakes and the crispy cauliflower. The hummus was so creamy. Baba ghanoush, not too heavy on garlic and tzatziki bright and creamy. We ended up asking for extras of the pita as it was also good. The salad was beautiful and refreshing and the cauliflower appetizer, wow I could eat this all day every day. Crab cakes also delicious. For dinner we had one of the specials - scallops over risotto. Also did the Bronzino, Mediterranean skewer and leg of duck. Again, everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned so well. The hanger steak in the skewers with the chimichurri was so tender. The duck was falling off the bone tender. For dessert, we had the equivalent of a lava cake which we shared amongst the 4 of us. Pita Greek offers bowls and salads (with added protein possible for $6-7), pita sandwiches, and big platters that come with two sides and pita bread. We really enjoyed the chicken gyro (tender), spanakopita (generously filled), and the falafel (surprisingly not dry but some people may prefer a crisper texture). For the sides, we enjoyed the chicken lemon soup and beets most. The lentil soup, scallion rice (similar to pilaf), broccoli (large pieces), and fries were ok too, in that order. The bowls and pita sandwiches are $12 base but we were a bit disappointed that the falafel addition to the bowl only came with three smallish pieces. The big platters are probably the way to go if you want shareables, as each separate item can be more than the $20 for the platter. They have a pita sandwich lunch special with a drink too. They also have kids meals and catering. Wish they had moussaka on the regular menu! They display desserts at the counter and they all looked very sweet. I wasn't expecting much in terms of atmosphere but it looked comfortable and clean in the dining area and there was outdoor seating. There's a shared parking lot in the back which is nice for Middletown Road. But otherwise, street parking is possible.
