On our way to upstate New York we stopped by this Cava store on NJ 17 North for lunch. There are lots of parking in front and around the store. Few outdoor tables were available too. It was a very clean and tidy inside. There wasn't much customer only a few, including us. They had all the items lined up in the station, all seemed freshly cooked. I got my favorite braised lamb bowl with tzatziki sauce, rice, lettuce, shrug, and several toppings. It is little bit of pricier but everything in the bowl tasted super delicious. I used the app to make sure I got the reward points. The service was really good. We got our order in a few minutes.

When you need something quick, tasty, and healthy, you can't go wrong with CAVA. I've been to a lot of locations - Paramus (my usual go-to), Wayne, and Edgewater. Today was my first time visiting the Ramsey location and I'm mad that I didn't come sooner. I came on a Monday afternoon and the place was poppin'. Most tables were filled and there was a constant flow of people coming in and out. First of all... the SERVICE? It was like day and night compared to Paramus! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with smiles and warmth. Every employee that helped make my order were so friendly and polite, including the cashier and manager. They were very generous with portions and packed my bowl to the top! I was actually shocked because the Paramus employees are nothing like this... sorry, but it goes to show how much customer service goes a long way. I was also impressed by the cleanliness and organization. The counter/ordering area, drinks station, tables, and trash area were all fairly clean. The toppings, proteins, dips, greens, and grains were fully stocked. They have a designated area for mobile orders, which they kept up with. They seem to be prepared to handle large crowds and rush hours, so kudos to them! Once again... this is like day and night compared to Paramus. I ordered my usual: super greens, brown rice, tzatziki sauce, roasted eggplant, crazy feta dip, grilled chicken, corn, pickled onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, cabbage slaw, feta cheese, and pita crisps all topped with Greek vinaigrette dressing. My bowl was delicious and flavorful! Toppings were so fresh and the chicken was well seasoned. And you can't forget to wash down your meal with one of their refreshing drinks! Today I went with their strawberry citrus and lemonade. Hmmmm I guess I can make a sacrifice... driving through Route 17 aka a hell hole... just to get a better CAVA experience? I think yes. I didn't mean for this review to sound like I'm bashing on Paramus LOL... but I'm just impressed with the Ramsey location. Great job!

Cava has delicious fresh food. The salads and all the options you can get are many. The place was clean, staff was great. They have the best drinks. Can't wait to return. I just wish they had one in Monmouth County.

I love Cava's bowl/pita options. They have many healthy, delicious options to pick from. The food bar station is always clean and the line moves very fast, almost too fast lol. The service is okay. The line servers always move very fast and I understand but it can be a bit overwhelming when you're faced with many delicious choices. My tried and true Cava order is a grain and greens bowl. It contains; white rice, splendid greens, red pepper hummus, crazy feta dip, tzatziki dip, grilled chicken, roasted corn, Persian cucumbers, marinated tomatoes, feta cheese, pickled onions, Kalamata olives, Greek dressing and lemon herb tahini dressing. I know, it sounds like a lot but I promise it is worth trying! My only gripe is they always forget to give you the free side of pita. I would recommend trying Cava and creating your own go to bowl but don't forget to ask for your free side of warm pita!

I have no words. This location is very inconsistent. Last week they forgot the dressing for 4 meals. I contacted customer service and they gave me a partial refund. This week I ordered 5 meals for delivery, all with dressing and they sent 3 dressings. We also ordered broccoli in 4 of the meals and it was barely a sprinkle. Finally, ordered the crazy feta and it wasn't even a tablespoon full. Probably won't order from this location again unless they improve.

Spicy greens plus lamb meatballs was excellent!

Am I bit casual with the five stars? Perhaps. But the thing is, my wife and I were hungry after watching a school play and 20 minutes later we were full. Cava is clean, bright, and modern. The staff were friendly and professional. My wife had a chicken and brown rice bowl and I had the spicy greens bowl plus spicy lamb meatballs. The texture and flavor were excellent. Just the right level of spice for me, which would be the high side of medium. This is my kind of healthy and fast casual restaurant.

Paid $17 for this order and the bowl was MAYBE half full if being generous. Asked for Arugula, Brown Rice, Tzatziki, Tzatziki, Spicy Lamb Meatballs, Salt-Brined Pickles, Pickled Onions, Tomato + Cucumber, Persian Cucumber, Pita Crisps, Skhug, Skhug, Free Side Pita Honestly good for you Cava Group representatives Ted, Ike, Dimitri, and Brett for ensuring the best bang for buck to satisfy your fluffy EOY bonuses!

Everything on the menu is vegan, but my family truly could not taste any difference when we visited. We ordered the Oreo protein pancakes, blueberry pancakes, penne with vodka sauce, and a breakfast burrito. Since I turned vegan, I've been craving pancakes so the food really hit the spot. The pancakes were so fluffy and tasted incredible. The penne was also so flavorful and was maybe our favorite dish. The breakfast burrito was also filling and tasted great. Overall, I'm very impressed with the quality of food and would come here regularly if I lived in the area. Additionally, the prices were super reasonable and are definitely more affordable than the average restaurant in the area. Chelsea was our waitress and I want to give her a special shoutout because she was particularly helpful and friendly to us. She did an excellent job answering our questions and even was willing to share general tips on vegan cooking. She really went out of her way to help me out after I mentioned that I recently turned vegan.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and the hard working staff were non-stop, satisfying the fully-commited attendance. Thank goodness that I made reservations, which I highly suggest, or else you're going to probably have a double digit wait time. I was very impressed with the serving sizes and the freshness of their ingredients. I also appreciated how they placed the salad that accompanied my omelet in a separate bowl. The entrees were: Truffle Infused Wild Mushroom Omelette (wild mushrooms, shaved parmesan, roasted potato hash, and a side salad). Every bite was filled with every ingredient and this item is highly recommended. Whiskey Burger (8 Oz. beef patty, double cut bacon, apple jack barbecue sauce, sharp cheddar cheese, pickle, caramelized onions). This burger was juicy, throughout, and the sweet potato fries side was heavenly salty. The last entree was the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes (whipped ricotta, lemon zest, fresh fruit and berries). Theses pancakes were t.h.i.c.k. and the fruit was plentiful. I also ordered an Apple and Pear Salad for takeout and it was AMAZING! It was large enough for two servings and the vinaigrette dressing was exquisite. At the register, it was a little confusing as there was no line that had formed. There were people standing in front of the register and the young employee would just shout "next customer" and someone would decide to go next. In my opinion, I think the back room should have a door or curtain just for the employees privacy. I would not want customers seeing me eating or on my phone while I'm on a break. I'm sure most people know it's a break room, but for those who don't would be wondering why there are people sitting when the front of the store has customers waiting for their order to be taken. Back to the food... I got a panini with mozzarella, tomato, basil and chicken (additional $4.50). And I also go the Clean Green smoothie. They gave me a numbered placard so that someone could deliver my food to my table. The panini was good, but unfortunately the chicken was very dry and the ends of the bread was soggy. For something that was just made, the bread should not be soggy like it had been sitting in a liquid for a while. The smoothie was ok. I think they put too much vanilla extract in it because that was the only thing I could really taste. I think the banana needed to ripen for another day. Also, there was a grainy texture and I can't figure out why as there was no powder added to it. According to the menu, the ingredients are coconut water, banana, cucumber, spinach, dates, and vanilla extract. The total for my sandwich and drink was $31. This is an ok but overpriced lunch. I might come back to try something else in the future.

Pita Greek offers bowls and salads (with added protein possible for $6-7), pita sandwiches, and big platters that come with two sides and pita bread. We really enjoyed the chicken gyro (tender), spanakopita (generously filled), and the falafel (surprisingly not dry but some people may prefer a crisper texture). For the sides, we enjoyed the chicken lemon soup and beets most. The lentil soup, scallion rice (similar to pilaf), broccoli (large pieces), and fries were ok too, in that order. The bowls and pita sandwiches are $12 base but we were a bit disappointed that the falafel addition to the bowl only came with three smallish pieces. The big platters are probably the way to go if you want shareables, as each separate item can be more than the $20 for the platter. They have a pita sandwich lunch special with a drink too. They also have kids meals and catering. Wish they had moussaka on the regular menu! They display desserts at the counter and they all looked very sweet.
