Always consistent, family friendly, good prices and great variety. Food tastes great. One of my personal favorites.

Calamari
Che C.

My cousin and I stopped by Blu Fig for dinner. Upon entry we were greeted and directed to a table. At first glance the dining room doesn't really seem appealing aesthetically speaking. It was clean but the decor was lacking. A super basic set up. The server came over and greeted us, took our drink order and gave us time to review the menu. We decided on calamari for our appetizer and I ordered chicken parm for my entree. The chicken parm normally comes with spaghetti but I asked for linguini instead and they were able to accommodate me. The calamari was seasoned well and fried to perfection. My entree was by far the star of the show. They topped the dish with fresh mozzarella, the chicken was seasoned well and they had just the right amount of sauce in the entree. The meal was all around tasty. The portion and price was right. I will certainly be back.

Buffalo Chicken Ciabatta Sandwich

I enjoyed a nice lunch this afternoon at Blu Fig. The establishment is relatively spacious; it has lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The place is clean and well maintained. The decor is simple and very low key. I went during the day and sat outside which was decorated plain as well. A recommendation I have is to change the outdoor seats; the metal seat is uncomfortable and it sinks so far back that you're far away from the table making it hard to eat, so you really have to scoot up all the way to the front of your seat. Ambience rate 7/10. My boyfriend and I ordered the... 1. Hummus and Tzatziki Spreads with Pita Bread as an appetizer: Both spreads tasted like your basic greek spreads, nothing special. However, they do give a good amount of pita bread and spread for both. But I wouldn't say it's worth $7 each, maybe $5 at most. Rate 6/10. 2. Portabella Ciabatta Sandwich: The pesto flavor they use is the best pesto I've ever tasted. You can tell that it is definitely home made. It pairs very nicely with the melted mozzarella cheese and yummy mushrooms. Rate 10/10. 3. Buffalo Chicken Ciabatta Sandwich: The chicken was delicious, crunchy, and plentiful. The gorgonzola cheese made the sandwich very flavorful. The buffalo sauce was just average, nothing special. The overall sandwich was good, but I've tasted better buffalo chicken before. Rate 8.5/10. *The ciabatta bread used for the sandwiches is the best part. The bread is perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and such a generous portion which leaves me satisfied. *The side salad they include in their sandwich dishes is alright, it's just lettuce with balsamic dressing, nothing special. The prices for their sandwiches are very fair ($12) considering the big portion size and how good the food tastes. The staff were nice and the service was moderately fast. Service rate 9/10. Overall, Blu Fig is a great casual restaurant for friends and family!

Giving Blu Fig an aspirational 4 stars! Picked up lunch for 5. Service was attentive and pleasant. Restaurant itself was busy for lunch. Fried calamari was very pale, but surpringly crispy and tasty. Not much after the initial crunch though. While I enjoyed it, there was no moisture or chew to 90% of the calamari. My pulled pork sandwich, while a bit dry, was tasty. Bread to pork ratio was way off. What seemed like house-made focaccia was good but way too much of it for the amount of pulled pork. Prices are reasonable. Will definitely be back!

Outside seating was nicer we thought than inside. Great on a sunny day. Chicken was tender and soup wasn't salty. Pulled pork sammy was ok. Bread to park ratio was average. Service was a bit lacking, but where isn't it these days. Had to flag them down about three times.

Overall it was good! We did outdoor sitting and the service was great. Recommended place for Italian food.

Food is great but the service is awful. The restaurant also needs some TLC. We keep going back because we love their food and prices.

Big fillet for lunch, crisp skin and tasty. The labneh and beets was a nice mezze. We've always liked the Tino's artichoke, but this one could be in second place for us. Shepherd's salad is always nicely seasoned and refreshing. The lentil soup was pleasant as well. It's hardy, flavorful, comes out hot and is a good portion. Overall, I think the lunch fixed menu is a great deal and this place is a gem. My favorite restaurant right now! Remember it's BYOB

The restaurant also had a steady flow of take out orders all night. The meal started with pita and olive tapenade which was delicious. We then ordered the grilled octopus appetizer along with a gyro platter and a chicken platter. The octopus had good flavor but was mushy. I tend to like my octopus on the crispy side with grill marks. The two platter entres were both delicious and large portions. Another great benefit is the restaurant is byob and you can bring your favorite wine or beer. I will come back to try more items on their menu.

COME HUNGRY! I came here to celebrate my brother-in-law's birthday with my husband's family…read morerecently. There were 6 of us and we split the Efsane Family Special for 4 people and added lamb chops thinking we wouldn't have enough food lol the special also came with dessert but my sister-in-law also ordered a rice pudding. The 6 of us could've easily had the family special for 4 without ordering anything else - there was so much food and we had leftovers to take home!! For context, we all eat a LOT so to say we had leftovers is saying a lot! Quantity aside, the food itself was delicious. The bread is served fresh and steaming hot, the dips are delicious and flavorful, meat is seasoned and cooked perfectly (the chicken shish and lamb adana are my favorites), and the bitter black tea and sweet baklava are a perfect way to end the meal. I left there stuffed and so happy! The staff was also very friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back!

I was very worried that, after the move, I would not be able to find middle eastern food that would compare. However, I was wrong, and Esfane definitely satisfied my craving! I was in the mood for a light lunch, so I ordered the Shepard's Salad, the Baba Ghannouj, and the Lentil Soup. The Baba Ghannouj was excellent and came with lots of pita bread. It could've been a little smokier for my taste, but overall I got a huge serving and it was very creamy and flavorful. The Sheppard's salad was similarly huge and delicious. The lentil soup tasted home-made and was so comforting to dip all of my extra bread in. At the end of lunch, I was also served some complimentary tea, which definiitely was the icing on the cake to this exceptional experience. Overall, I was extremely satisfied by the quality of the food, but also by the amount. The service was similarly excellent. My water was constantly filled and the waiters checked on me numerous times to ensure everything was going well. The decorations inside were also exceptional, and the restaurant definitely gives high-class date night vibes. I could totally see coming back for a date night with my husband. I think the only downside is that I didn't find the food to be QUITE as good as some Paterson joints like Al Basha, and the price felt like it was 1.5x-2x as much. Probably worth it though, because this has got to be one of the better restaurants around in Flanders.

The lamb shank was absurdly tender, the baba ganoush was smoky and rich, and yes, the ezme, beets, and pita remain mandatory ordering. But what really sets this place apart is the heart behind it. On a hard night for our family, a simple unexpected dessert brought genuine comfort and a smile when we needed it most. They don't just feed your stomach here. They feed your soul. I would go to war for this restaurant. An absolute gem, genuinely some of the best food I've had in the area!! I don't write glowing reviews lightly, but this place absolutely earned one. From the moment the food hit the table, it was obvious this was something special. Every single thing we ordered, from the mezze sampler to the drinks to dessert, felt like the best version of itself it could possibly be. Not one weak note. Even the pita bread was memorable. Warm, soft, fresh, lightly charred, and worthy of praise in a meal FULL of standout dishes. The mezze sampler was EXTRAORDINARY. The beet and goat cheese was one of those bites that makes you stop mid-conversation. The goat cheese was fresh, creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced by roasted beets that were unbelievably sweet and luscious. Honestly, they were almost candy-like. I don't know what they did to prepare them, but they were incredible. The spicy vegetable dip, Esme, was bright, vibrant, and bursting with flavor. Fresh, zippy, and balanced with just enough heat. The eggplant dip was equally impressive, with a silky texture, subtle tartness, mellow tomato notes, and that gentle pleasant bitterness that makes eggplant so satisfying when it's done well. The hummus was ridiculously creamy and rich with tahini, giving it a deep nutty flavor that made it one of the best hummus dishes I've personally had. We also ordered the Turkish manti, and they were fantastic. Little handmade parcels topped with cool yogurt and warm spiced oil that brought everything together beautifully. We didn't even manage to take a picture because by that point we were so completely absorbed in the meal that all manners disappeared and we just devoured them immediately. No photo. No pause. Just instinct. That might be the strongest endorsement I can give. The mint lemonade was perfect for a warm day. Bright, refreshing, tart, cooling, and mint-forward without being overly sweet. It tasted clean, balanced, and incredibly refreshing. Dessert completely sealed the deal. The Turkish revani was unbelievably soft, soaked through with milk, and had that luscious almost tres leches quality that makes every bite melt away. The fresh berries and raspberry sauce gave it just enough brightness and acidity to balance the sweetness beautifully. I had a cup of black tea with it, and the combination of cake, berries, and tea was one of those simple little moments that feels kind of magical. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Tasteful decor, warm atmosphere, and thoughtful design that feels welcoming without trying too hard. The service was friendly, attentive, and genuine. More than anything, the whole place feels like a labor of love. What blows my mind most is that this restaurant has apparently been here for over two years, and we somehow only just discovered it. We were legitimately mad at ourselves thinking about how many meals we could have had here already. Now we're just trying to make up for lost time!! For roughly $80 for two before tip, the value was outstanding. At first glance, the menu might look a little upscale, but once the food arrives, it makes perfect sense. The quality more than justifies the price. I've had good Mediterranean food before. This is operating on a completely different level. Without question, this is some of the best Mediterranean food I've had anywhere in the area, and I can't wait to go back.

We didn't have any reservations, and I thought - Why would we? We started with the appetizers, babaganoush and calamari. Both were good. My wife and I had the mixed platter for two. All the meats were tasty, seasoned well and weren't dry. For dessert, I tried the affogato, espresso over ice cream and that hit the spot. Overall, we were impressed. People did start coming in after 6 so it's best to reserve a table especially if you have more than 4 in your party. The don't serve liquor so it's BYOB!! My Over all rating = Meh (Barely acceptable, but no huge complaints either) Service - meh Food - meh Facility - meh Protip: Greek Village in Northvale, NJ seems better rated although I haven't been there yet. That's my next stop for Greek. It's 15min north from PGK. If you go inside its furnished in modern industrial type of decor. Having said that, the restaurant wasn't well run. When I walked in there were very few customers, but few tables were left dirty with dishes and food bits still on them. The floor in similar fashion looked like it hasn't been swept for a bit. I can see paper strip from the straw, gum rapper, and some food. One table near the door had a completely dried out grains of rice. Yes, if you are Asian then you know. It's the kind of rice that hurts your foot because your son/daughter left on the floor the last night at dinner and didn't care to pick up. (Asian problems) Seriously, it had to be there for half a day. No one cared to clean this ? Given the amount of business it had at at the time (not much), it would have taken one person 5 min to fix the aforementioned problems. It showed me that the employees/managers didn't really care. Attitude of the employees that talked to me was consistent with what I saw about the facility. They weren't rude, but just seemed disinterested, disconnected and just blah. In terms of food, I got a a decent Pork Souvlaki in pita. I would rate it 6.5 out of 10 or C-. My pork was unevenly cooked. It had a nice char on one side and just light brown on the other. It was just short of being burnt on one side. I didn't love the Tzatziki sauce that was on there either. I don't know about Greek food that much, but I didn't think it was well made. Either that or it wasn't freshly made. Finally, the only veg that was in there was red onion and tomatoes. I usually see lettuce of some sort of lettuce at all other greek places. So....not too hip to go back, but I may go back if I really crave greek and I don't want to drive more than 10 min to get it.

I highly recommend trying these: *Chicken Shawarma (roasted strips of marinated chicken) - One of my favorite proteins! It's tangy and garlicky. *Falafel (fried chickpea croquette with herbs and spices) - They're super crispy and deep fried to perfection with a golden-brown exterior. The inside is a vibrant green color from all of the fresh herbs, spices, and grounded chickpeas. *Beef Shawarma - Tender, juicy, and savory! *Baba Ghannouj - A must try for eggplant lovers!! It's smoky with rich flavors from charred eggplant, tahini, garlic, and lemon juice. *Hummus - It's creamy, nutty, and earthy. All of the ingredients and toppings are fresh. Every bite is a burst of flavor! The staff is always friendly and packs my bowl to the brim, so I can't complain. They get busy during lunch rush hours, but you can order ahead to avoid a longer wait time. The interior is bright, modern, and welcoming with natural lighting and greenery.
