We were seated on the outside patio with a great view of the golf course and were quickly served some complimentary cheesy bread! The hostess had asked prior if we had any allergens or sensitivities - one member of our group was so happy and surprised to have gluten free bread! It's so hard to find anywhere else! We loved the Latin-Asian fusion menu, having both sushi and tacos complimented with wine and cava! The drinks were well picked and refreshing, but the best overall was the sushi. We've now visited this restaurant 2 times. I'm not sure why it took us so long to come here since we live about 15 minutes away. Maybe I need to explore more resort restaurants. We were able to sit on the patio a month ago without it being too warm. This recent visit, we decided to stay indoors. Our server, Don (Donald?), was exceptional. He's a keeper! Food - just order a bunch of stuff to share. I'm a big fan of variety so I love when my husband is willing to split things with me. Everything we have tasted has been great! The decor of the restaurant is unique and inviting. The views from the restaurant patio are fantastic. I went for lunch with work colleagues from out of town and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food. I ordered the tuna poke bowl - tuna was fresh and flavorful, the sauce was delicious, there was a hint of eat with the spicy peppers. I left no tuna or grain of rice behind. One coworker had the carnitas tacos and said they were fantastic. Another coworker had the cachapas and chicharron de camaron which was a lot of food. She enjoyed her food as well and had enough for leftovers. We had the yellow corn cake with caramel popcorn and hibiscus compote for dessert. It was one of the most interesting desserts I've ever had. The texture of the corn cake was velvety and smooth. The added crunch of the caramel corn along with the hibiscus had me scratching my head because I didn't expect it to be that delicious. The food was presented on really unique plates. I really liked the individual look of each and they added to the presentation of each dish. The time it took over lunch was a bit extreme. We were in the middle of our workday, not enjoying a round of golf. We were at lunch for two hours - that's great on a weekend, not so much when you have to get back to work. I did have to pop into the ladies room and it was as dark as a cave in there. I mentioned it to the manager because it was so dark in there it was a safety hazard. I advised my coworkers if they had to pop into there to take their phones so they'd have a torch with them. Overall, we did enjoy the experience and all of the food. I will go back, but I'll be sure to budget more time. read more

What a disappointment. I'm not sure how these restaurants can think they continue to overcharge for sparse servings. The roasted beet salad with goat cheese. About 2ounces of beets with about a dime size amount of goat cheese. So dissatisfying. Total disconnect between the waitress & wait staff, when food was brought out they would just toss it in front of whom they were closest to, not even asking who this was for. This took place for every single dish. It reminded me of a scene from keystone cops embarrassing to say the least. I haven't seen this kinda disconnect from even a fast food joint. Food was great! Service was a 2.5/10 Ambiance was a 10. We sat at the bar, Igor was the least attentive bartender/server that I have ever experienced in a highend establishment. He couldn't be bothered to ask if we needed our cocktails refreshed, nor the water. Other than what we received when we sat down, we sat with for 45 minutes with an empty glass of water. I did put the one and only cocktail that he did serve, at the edge of bar for a refresher, he walked pasted it probably 10 times, finally I verbally asked for another cocktail. He did finally gave the other two guest I was with, ice for the water, I had to specifically ask for ice. Clearly my glass was as dry, and empty as the other two. I have been to this establishment several times, never have I received such uninterested service as tonight. What a horrible night of service. read more

One of my favorite restaurants now in AZ! Upon pulling up, the restaurant is gorgeous outside. I arrived at 8pm. But walking inside you feel like you are whisked away into a dark sexy moody restaurant in Tulum. It is absolutely gorgeous inside. I sat at the bar and I ordered several drinks to try. I was given tiny bread like rolls with a tomato salsa, which was to die for! Honestly, every dipping sauce, I tried from their tomato salsa to their chimichurri was excellent, but all of them had a kick so beware! First I ordered the Smoked Original Old-Fashioned. Then the Dragon Fruit Mojito. Both were one of the best Old Fashions and Mojitos I have ever had! Then I ordered the Calamari, which was also amazing. Next I ordered the shrimp tempura roll and the Hamachi roll. Both were excellent. Then I ordered the lobster fried rice, which was the best Ive ever had! This is an interesting place with a menu that is just as interesting. Not being starving, I passed on the starters and instead went right into the Salmon - miso marinade - heirloom carrots - shiitake mushroom - bacon morita chili jam - achiote ponzu, for the meal. The side we shared on the table was the Potatoes Three Ways - crispy potato - roasted fingerling - mashed potato - red wine ancho sauce. The salmon turned out to be a great choice of flavors, and it was cooked to perfection. The potatoes were all together in a skittle, which was not the presentation that was expected, but it actually worked out surprisingly well. To end the meal, instead of dessert, I had a flight of rum which was wonderful. I do wish there were more people at our table to us to share the La Bomba - chocolate half sphere - seasonal sorbet - dulce de leche ice cream - pistachio ice cream - berries - crumble - vanilla and candy pistachios. Yes, it is a chocolate sphere, but that doesn't really describe it well since they come to your table, place a paper mat in the middle, and then drop the sphere in the middle. It cracks open surprisingly well and then is covered with some sauces by the server to complete the presentation. Wow! Get your video recording started for this one! read more
