Torchy Taco's is a fast casual quick service chain restaurant, in Winter Garden. They are delicious tacos and I really do enjoy their food and drinks. They do have a bar inside and when you order, they bring your food to your table. Alcohol drinks must be ordered at the bar separately from your food. They also offer happy hour Monday through Friday at the bar and then weekend drink specials One thing everyone should order, is the queso, which is green Chile queso topped with guacamole, cotija cheese, cilantro and diablo sauce, served with tortilla chips. You have the option to add chorizo but the regular version is just fine. This is probably one of the best queso's I have had. It is truly delicious. You will get more queso then chips, and we have never asked for more chips, but Im sure you would be able to. For food, they offer a wide variety including tacos, fajitas, burritos, salads, bowls, and even breakfast tacos. I have only been a couple of times but have always gotten the same thing. I prefer the "The Bonfire Bowl" with jerk chicken. This is cilantro lime rice, black beans, spinach, diced mango, pickled onions & jalapeños, pistachios, and avocado sauce. so good! My wife also orders the same thing. She likes to get 2 different tacos, since they are sold individually. She prefers the Trailer Park which is fried chicken, green chiles, lettuce, pico de gallo, mixed cheese with poblano sauce on a flour tortilla. She also gets the Fried Avocado which is fried avocados, refried pinto beans, pico de gallo, lettuce, mixed cheese with poblano sauce on a corn tortilla. They are delicious tacos and I have been a few times. I finally was able to take my husband for lunch and he loved it as well. Inside they have many tables as well as a bar. If you are looking for a alcoholic drink of any sort, you will need to order from the bar separately from your food. If you come here, one thing that must be ordered is their queso. Their queso is green Chile queso topped with guacamole, cotija cheese, cilantro and diablo sauce, served with tortilla chips. You can jazz it up and add chorizo but the regular version is just fine. Finally made it in here recently. It sits on the corner where Red Robin used to be. You can order on the app, with the cashier or at the bar. It has a wide open space with lots of seating inside and outside. Although it is a fast casual place, they have a bar that serves beer on tap, seltzers, wine and cocktails. I ordered to dine in and then asked for a to go container since I couldn't finish it all. The cashier informed me she couldn't help me with that because I didn't order to go from the start. She said I could use the small containers at the drink station. That seemed unreasonable. I would've plated it myself and just needed the larger container. I ordered the Airstream Salad with blackened salmon. It was delicious. I wasn't sure if I would like the mint in the salad but the flavor melded well with the salad and salmon. In addition, I ordered the Democrat taco. They are very generous with the meat and toppings. This taco was very flavorful and I would definitely order it again after I try other choices that they offer. Unfortunately, I didn't get a receipt from the cashier, so I didn't receive reward points for the meal. I noticed it later when I sat at the bar to eat and order a drink. On the flip side, the bartender, Ant, was great. Super personable, informative and helpful. My only real complaint is this location closes early. Finally got to check out Torchy's! I had been hearing a lot of hype for this Winter Garden Village location, and I'm so glad for the new addition to the area. Ordering was easy and quick, and the man who took our orders gave helpful suggestions! I was a big fan of the wild berry frozen margarita - any place that has more than just strawberry and lime flavors is a winner to me! We also started with the threesome - a combo of their guac, queso, and salsa. All 3 were great! The queso had some slight kick to it with the chilis, the guac was great quality, and I enjoyed the milder salsa option. Perfect for sharing! We all got a lot of tacos, but mine were the steak fajita taco and the crossroads taco, which features brisket. I was very impressed by the quality of the chicken in the fajita taco, and it was loaded with toppings! The crossroads might have been my favorite of the two, the brisket was excellent! The jalepenos added some kick. Overall, everyone loved what they ordered and the value felt really good. Prices are super reasonable! Feeling lucky that this is now the SECOND Torchy's location that has opened in Central Florida! This location is located in Winter Garden Village and had plenty of inside and outside seating for us to enjoy our lunch. We visited close to my birthday so we enjoyed a free queso and chips (this is your hint to sign up for their amazing app and Taco Junkie rewards program) as well as a guacamole to start. I can't go to Torchy's without getting the queso. It's a must!! Our tacos came out fresh and fast and we loved our entire lunch. I went with the Fried Avocado taco and switched the corn tortilla for a flour tortilla, which is always my move. This new location lived up to all of the other Torchy's locations that I have visited before back home in Texas. My partner tried Torchy's when he was in Arizona last week and raved about his burrito so once he got home I gave him the good news that we have a few locations here! We decided to make dinner plans easy on ourselves and stop in. Parking was easy as it wasn't a busy evening but it is a shared lot and one that I know can be crowded so keep that in mind. We walked in and were greeted and asked if we had any questions, etc. we ordered two steak burritos and a migas taco (I couldn't resist) and 2 fountain drinks. We took our pager and grabbed our drinks at the soda counter. They have good ice (IYKYK) and a nice variety of sodas (Cherry Fanta?!), the weather was cooperating so we opted to dine on the patio. Our food came out and I was ready to chow down. The burrito was pretty good and a huge portion. Nothing out of this world but decent. The migas taco was heartbreaking. A huge let down. The best migas tacos I've had were all in Austin, TX and Torchy's being from Austin my expectations were pretty high I suppose. The taco had what I would describe as an overcooked omelet covered in a lot of things to hide the taste (or lack of taste) of the egg. I took one disappointing bite and then watched that $5 slowly crash into the trash bin. This is a great addition to the local taco scene. Like competitor Velvet Taco, Torchy's is a chain out of Texas that specializes in high-end taco assembly. Their menu offers a wide variety of semi-traditional and eclectic taco. We liked all three that we tried: Trailer Park Taco - fried chicken and a bunch of stuff on a flour tortilla. This wasn't my favorite, but my wife liked it a lot. It's pretty far from any Mexican origins! Green Gile Pork on a corn tortilla. The most traditional, this contained very succulent carnitas. Mr. Orange - This was my favorite. A delicious piece of grilled salmon with a somewhat spicy sauce and lots of cilantro. I really liked that all the tacos had completely different ingredients, which is very different from most assemblage places. I usually prefer sit down restaurants to quick serves, but it's worth noting that they do have margaritas, and you can come in, sit at the bar, and order food and drinks. This place was AWESOME. I see why people are super excited about it and it's all the rage on social media. We got the chance to visit last Friday and although it was super packed, the staff were super attentive and doing their best to make sure that people were served and taken care of in a timely matter. The tacos themselves were large and priced fairly imo. A lot better than the majority of those 'boutique' taco places in central Florida. We ordered 5 different tacos (Baja Shrimp, Democrat x2, Steak Fajita, Crossroads) and shared them all as well as the chips and queso, the churros, rice and beans, a margarita, and a couple of beers. The Democrat and Crossroads were delicious. The other ones were good. I would not get the steak fajita again just because there are so many other great options there. Obsessed & so wish this was closer to us! It's a little over thirty minutes so not a terrible drive but not as convenient as it could be. However it is worth the trek! It's basically an a la carte taco restaurant where you purchase each taco individually for $5-$6 ish and there's soooo many interesting flavors to choose from. The Mad Cow (off the secret menu) was hands down my favorite! It has steak, refried beans, a Chipotle sauce, and corn. The queso is just a little spicy and PHENOMENAL. But all the flavors for everything we tried were fresh and delicious. There's a huge number of sauces and meats to choose from. Wellllll... I wanted so badly to love this place. I went to the one in Texas over a year ago and it was fantastic so I was super excited when they opened one here. I'm hoping with it being so new they just need time to work out the kinks. We ordered queso for the table which had a really good flavor but barely came with any chips. Our tacos also had a good flavor but the meat was cold and not like lukewarm but actually cold. My friend ordered a burrito and they brought it out in a bowl and said they ran out of wraps. I have never been so pleased by a taco place. Usually I am underwhelmed when I go to taco joints expecting flavor and a homemade feel to them. Everything is made in house from the chips to the sauce to the tortillas. I went on a trip down flavor town as Guy Fieri calls it. If I had one near me it would be tempting not to eat here every day. They really do make some damn good tacos! From the get go I was thinking we could get a meal or entree with chips but the tacos are a la carte. They are filled and very decent size. I would easily have 2 and be full and maybe a couple of chips as well but my bf and I wanted to try a couple of them so we got a variety of tacos and split them together. We also ended up trying their green tomatillo salsa. It was not too spicy and one of the best green salsas I've had , it was so balanced and rich. The chips were a little salty though but the salsa helped it out. Now it's on to the tacos! Democrat- This one is your typical beef barbacoa , didn't have much flavor and was underwhelming honestly . It was missing something because it felt one note to me . Nothing too impressive about it. Baja Shrimp- Now you can't go wrong with a good shrimp taco. The shrimp was tender and almost melt in your mouth but had a great bite to it. The chipotle sauce was amazing without being overwhelmingly spicy . It was such a great portion of toppings to tortilla. The corn tortilla was buttery abut still retained its integrity as you ate so it didn't fall apart like most corn tortillas . My favorite part was the red onions and cotija cheese. It was so fresh and I could eat this at a beach I wish this traveled well because it was such a treat. Cougar-This one called to me since I love a good BBQ item. My only complaint is that it was missing a little bit of that BBQ sauce and would have loved some extra on there. This one features smoked beef brisket, corn relish, guajillo onion strings, BBQ sauce, chipotle sauce and cilantro on a flour tortilla. It was great overall but which it was a little smoky. Tokyo drifter- This one I believe was a weekly special taco . It resembled a banh mi. It was so reminiscent of it and I felt like it was a deconstructed banh mi. It is one of my favorite sandwiches so I was in love with this one. The meat was so soft and flavorful. One bite and your transported to Vietnam, it was just so balanced and hit all the right notes . You got sweet and tangy and the veggies had a crunch to them. I would come back solely for this if it was a regular item. Trailer park- this tasted like a fancy snack wrap from McDonald's to me, not a lot of flavor , on the lighter side and I wish it had another sauce because the poblano didn't really shine through. All of their tacos are great, but by far my favorite is their Democrat barbacoa one which is tender and flavorful in the best Texas way. Queso is slightly on the spicier side but is a crowd favorite. My wife and I finally tried Torchy's Tacos after being recommended by some friends and it did not disappoint! The tacos were excellent with fresh ingredients and plenty of protein. We also got the street corn and hash browns. I appreciated that you could do half portions of the sides so we were able to try more things. We have been meaning to try this new Taqueria out that is near our home for a while now and finally made our way there today. We arrived around 1230 on Saturday and there were a few tables that were already seated but otherwise very little line. They offer a selection of taco offerings and you can make it trashy, which is basically it being, covered with queso. My husband opted for the trailer park and made it trashy. The Trailer Park is basically a fried giant chicken strip with the trimmings which includes a lettuce, sauce and fresh pico de gallo. I opted for the fried avocado, which is just as it sounds fried avocado slices with fresh pico de gallo, Lettuce and their sauces. We will say when we read the menu it said covered in queso, when it did arrive my husband's trashy order was really just a drizzle of queso over the top of his fixings. His taco came with a flour tortilla, but he said the flavor was really good. He would definitely order again. Fried avocado taco was delicious! It's served on a corn tortilla, which was really a perfect choice and love the fried avocado had a little bit of crunch but not over the top. Things we did notice, is they seem to be training a lot of new employees or there were just a lot of new individuals who were working there when we went as many, didn't really know the answer to our questions and went to others to get the answer. The tacos are roughly $5.60-8.00 each and they have other offerings such as chips and guac as well as chips and salsa or chips and queso and then they do have dessert offering such as churros. What a fun taco place! I live near by so this is a great place to pick up a taco for lunch. My favorite taco is a brisket taco that melts in your mouth. The tacos are so full that one taco goes a long way. I do also love their tater tots that are drizzled with their queso. I did not think you could top tater tots, but they do. The kids each had a beef taco (one soft shell, one hard shell) We opted to sit outside under the umbrella since it was pretty full inside and a little loud for our preference. The food was brought out to the table. First to arrive was the guacamole, and there were peppers and it was spicy (to us). Others in the group were able to eat it since they did offer to take it back or get us something different. The shrimp tacos were fresh and good, but nothing that really stood out. I really loved my first ever visit to Torchy's Tacos! I had always heard such good things from my friends in Texas, so I was very glad to hear that Orlando would be getting 3 locations. This Winter Garden location is in the spot where the old Red Robin was housed. As far as food goes, the tacos are rather large and have many toppings on them, so unless you are starving I would only recommending ordering 2. I chose a chicken taco and a breakfast taco, which they also serve all day. A huge plus here is also their beverage selection as they have multiple unique choices including Fanta Cherry and Fuse Peach, plus the typical Coke/Diet Coke/Sprite etc. They also have alcoholic drinks that look great, but I have not yet tried. I recommend visiting Torchy's at an atypical time if possible such as a 2pm lunch or 4pm dinner as it is still brand new, so the line was pretty long on our first visit. read more

Ordered a few tacos and burrito for DoorDash delivery for cinco de mayo. I can't say anything about the service or restaurant but I CAN say the food is absolutely delicious! I've walked by a few times and looks super cool. Definitely have the branding down! The guacamole, is slightly/pleasantly spicy. Chips are a perfect blend of crispy and salty. I always say you can tell a good Mexican spot by their chips, queso and guacamole, this one passed the test for all and more. Tacos are about the size of my hand, FILLED with great flavors and ingredients. My husband got burrito it was massive. Also filled with tons of goodies. I've had Torchy's in Texas and unfortunately, the winter garden location is drastically different in terms of taste, quality, and price. The pros are the overall atmosphere, great customer service, and cleanliness. The decor is inviting and there's a bar area along with an outside patio. You order at the front and they give you a kiosk disk in which you can seat yourself and food is brought out to you. Our cashier was friendly and helpful. The only thing to note is that they assume you want your taco on corn so if you prefer flour tortilla then let them know. I appreciated that the cashier read our order out to us to make sure he got it right. It didn't take too long for our food to come out. I had the "Fa Sho" and "Fried Avocado Taco" which is around 5.39 each. The Fried avocado taco was decent but there was minimal sauce so it was dry and the breading on the avocado was light. It just tasted bland. The Fa Sho taco was a complete miss and it came with a side of diablo sauce. This Diablo sauce is hot like super hot, they should put a warning for those who are sensitive to spice like this. My husband and I can handle spicy foods but this was like fire going through our stomach. The sampler of chips and 3 dips (Rojas, queso, and avocado) is not worth $12.45. Chips are super salty and the only dip we liked was the queso. The avocado was a miss, and the worst was the stem was mashed in the avocado mixture which I had to spit out. Overall, the price for 2 tacos is like $10 when it really should be $3. I had high hopes but I am disappointed by this location and will not return. read more

Got the Trailer Park trashy. The Cougar was very good, but the Trailer Park was the real star. The tots were excellent. My daughter loved the quesadilla and tots. She even took a bite of the Cougar. Worth the hype! There was a line out of the door when we arrived, but it went fast enough. Tacos are massive and fairly priced. I had the Trailer Park, Baja Shrimp, and Democrat, along with the half size to share of the Green Chili Queso (which we barely made a dent in because the size of the tacos and having ordered three each). I also enjoyed the mango Agua Fresca. The only thing we didn't enjoy were the churros. One was pretty burnt. The one I had was a little undercooked. Def would come back overall. Torchy's Tacos opened up in the old Red Robin location. I had never heard of them before so i was happy to have some place new to try out Tacos! We went on a Sunday afternoon around 1pm. It was busy but they only had a few customers lined up inside waiting to order. You order your food at the counter, pay and they give you a locator beeper to find you and bring your food. We both ordered two tacos each and split a drink. It came to about $30. After getting our soda, we found a table next to the fountain machines. As it got busier, we found sitting that close to the drink area was crazy! So many people. Our food arrived about 10 min after we sat down. Everything looked good and we enjoyed all of it. I did notice that they forgot to give me a sauce that was supposed to come with one of my tacos so I asked the manager (who was walking around making sure everyone was doing okay) and he ran to get it for me. The staff were super friendly and wanted to do all they could to make our meal enjoyable. The ambiance was fun with bright colors but without any soft surfaces, it was a noisy place to eat. There were also many families with children eating while we were there. Many children were running all over the restaurant and I was worried they were going to crash into the servers bringing out food and bussing tables. I even saw one kid rolling around on the floor under his table. Atmosphere - 9 Food - 9 Service - 10 I was able to sign up for their loyalty program and I look forward to returning and trying out some of the other special tacos that they have to offer. We visited Torchy's Tacos last night for the first time. It just happened to be a Tuesday and it was crazy busy. Taco Tuesday, anyone? Even though they don't have any Taco Tuesday specials, it was busy for a weeknight, I thought. Of course, they just recently opened, too. The line stretched from the registers way in the back to the front doors way in the front. We probably waited 15-20 minutes to order. Once we got to the registers, the (two) cashiers were super friendly and helpful, despite the non-stop work they were doing. I love their menu. It is so freakin' huge with a massive variety of unique choices. Be sure to grab a handheld menu in line (if you can find one; they are few and far between) or look online because there are so many options. And each taco creation can be made in a corn tortilla, flour tortilla, or in a bowl (taco innards only; no rice). So many taco selections sounded good (so we'll have to come back!), but for my first ones, I ordered the Fried Avocado (veggie) taco and Green Pork Chile taco, both in flour tortillas. I had also signed up for their rewards program in advance, so we got a free 1/2 cup of queso and chips. The dip was delicious, and was brought out super quick in advance of our entrees. To some of my friends, it was spicy (but I love spicy). I think it was just the diablo sauce drizzled on it, so you could probably ask for it without. And you get so many chips to go with it. My tacos were amazing. The Green Pork Chile one was my favorite. It was so juicy and flavorful. The Fried Avocado one was good, but it seemed a bit dry, like it was missing a sauce or salsa (or more of it) that could have been added. My partner ordered a salad with chicken and really enjoyed it. And the prices on each weren't that bad compared to other "fast casual" restaurants. The employees running out the food were so friendly and helpful as well. I'm looking forward to going back and exploring other options since their menu is so big. I may have to find new friends to go with, though, because "everything was spicy." LOL read more
