Before going, we reviewed the menu and thought there were so many interesting things to try. We were excited to check it out. Unfortunately, the staff situation was rough from the start and honestly pretty off-putting. It seemed like they didn't have a good handle on balancing in-store customers with online orders. Since it's counter service, we expected things to move fairly quickly, but there was almost a 20-minute gap between taking my order and my husband's during the same transaction. The food wasn't awful, but it also wasn't amazing. The chicken was bland and dry, and a lot of the ingredients seemed very pre-packaged. We watched staff refill the cheese and guac directly from bags and even dump it from the bag onto someone's plate, which took away from the overall experience. The boys working were all kind and polite, but it definitely seemed like they needed more direction and support. I've been to several of their locations and have always had great service along with fresh, tasty food. This location--Sand Lake, was no exception. I walked in, was greeted right away, and picked up my online order. It was well past lunch, so the place was pretty empty. I usually get their tacos and taco salads, and they're always solid. This time, I decided to switch things up and try some other menu items. I went with the Nashville fries and two burritos. As I was walking out, I noticed it was Taco Tuesday, so of course, I went back in and grabbed a few tacos: two carnitas and one chicken. The Nashville fries are so good. Crispy chopped chicken, pickles, Nashville hot sauce, and ranch dressing... yeah, they were excellent. The tacos were great as always. They really pile them up...very generous portions. Now... the burrito was an absolute disappointment. Don't get me wrong, the ingredients were tasty, but it was so small that I honestly felt cheated out of my hard-earned money. There was barely any meat on it. All rice and beans. Definitely not worth the price, and I won't order it again unless the portion size improves. Customer service was great overall. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. All in all, I definitely recommend Bubbakoo's. This place had great potential with a cool menu but the service and food safety were abysmal. We were trying a new place and had been really intrigued by Bubbakoo's. This location was close to the theme parks we were coming from so I made the call to pop in. We knew pretty quickly that the experience wouldn't be great as we heard a team member holler from a table in the dining area asking how much "pre-close" the rest of the team had completed even though they were in the middle of serving a guest. I ordered a preset burrito and the guys asked me if I wanted anything else in it. I asked what he recommended but he shrugged and said he didn't know and the training sheet didn't give him much information. That was fine. I made my best guesses and moved on. It was clear that none of the employees wanted to be there. Now some other concerns: flies around the sofa tower, team members scratching their hair with their knuckles while gloved and actively making food, another team member's bracelets directly touching food as he prepares it, dusty TVs hanging directly above food prep area, and the dining space was incredibly dirty. This was the napkin after I wiped off our table. There were three of us eating. My food was given to me as carry out, one person was asked if they'd be dining in and said yes, and the last was simply handed their burrito and fries without a bag or tray. Now to the food, the food was good and fine. Again the menu was really intriguing and the product seemed to match that. Overall the burrito was good. The chips I was recommended were stale and the team member at the front unenthusiastically switched the for fries for me. It's clear that we probably would have enjoyed this if the staff was different. The food safety concerns made enjoying the meal a difficult task. Overall, very underwhelmed by this location and let down as the expectation and hope were high for this restaurant. read more

This is the second location I have made it to now and once again, I was very happy with the service and my meal. I knew I had a coupon hanging in the app so I thought I'd stop in for lunch while I was in the area. While I struggled a little bit, the people here were on their game and took really good care of me. I ordered a burrito and got the lime chicken for my protein. I built it a way that sounded good to me. They also asked if I wanted to make it a combo by adding chips and a drink and I decided to try it. There were so many choices for what to get to go with my chips. I considered the queso, but went with a salsa instead. It went with the green one which had some decent heat to it. It was very tasty as an accompaniment in my burrito. The restaurant itself was clean and well lit. There were accessible spaces out in front. I get up this way probably at least a couple times a month and they will be on my shortlist for places to have lunch. If you're looking for a good meal, where you can build it your way for the most part this is a really good place to go and the prices are reasonable. read more

Good was decent and portions were good. The quesarito was a little bland, not much cheese and very rice heavy. They forgot our guacamole with our triple appetizer but the queso and house salsa were good. We also tried the fried Oreos (never tried one before) with caramel sauce and these were AMAZING! Everything was delicious and packed so well so everything was still piping hot when it arrived which was much appreciated. The chips were a bit over-salted but everything else was great. The portion sizes were also great. feel it's comparable to Chipotle but with a wider variety of options and much better value when comparing portion sizes, so I'd choose this place over the other any day! Coming into this establishment it looked amazing, but we honestly were interrupted by a homeless person outside. Getting here was simple, but the area was very dark and slightly difficult to see. Staff were friendly and quick with the service and they were very helpful with the choices and options we had. Food was alright, but I do feel that everything was a bit cold for what it was worth. Blast of flavor from spicy to sweet, and just a great mixture with the pico, corn , and lettuce , but just slightly on the Colder side. Just about $13 for the 3 tacos and a drink with chips. I took a chance and didn't order any of their popular dishes. I was pleasantly surprised and happy with my decision. I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich with extra pickles and blue cheese instead of ranch. They got the order 100% right and the proportion for the price was perfect. I got what was pictured plus a drink for $10. It was lightly sauced, which I asked for and enjoyed. The chicken was good and they gave me so many pickles. The pickles are cut thicker than most places, but I love pickles so I wasn't disappointed. I like that the bread wasn't soggy. First place that doesn't over due the sauce and has thick enough bread to not get soaked I'm happy with my lunch choice and definitely will be back to try one of their signature dishes. We stopped in to grab dinner with family and it was a wonderful experience! We got 2 burritos with the veggie patty, 1 bowl with chicken, and 1 bowl without any protein. Everything was delicious. The burritos were HUGE and pretty delicious. We loved the freshness of the food. Esam and Julie helped us, and they were so wonderful and friendly. They gave us a free soda on the house which was super nice of them. It's about $10 per entree which is pretty comparable to other places. I came here specifically for the ghost pepper, and sadly it did not deliver. I got the ghost pepper burrito with fried cauliflower. In terms of girth and fullness, I would give it a 6/10. Their burritos can easily be 2 meals. For flavor and content, it's a 4/10 for me. When I get ghost pepper, I expect my tongue to fall off. So tell me why my tongue was still sadly intact. Not even the tingling of the lips. I barely tasted the ghost pepper sauce. Really the only flavor that came through was the sourness of the pico de gallo. Also, like 70% of the burrito was just rice. I also got the burritodilla with mango habanero and fajita veggies. It was so greasy, and the brown rice was so undercooked it was still hard. It made for an interesting texture though, I guess. I did get a hint of the sweetness of the mango habanero sauce but none of the spice. Overall, it was a pretty disappointing experience. For a restaurant that boasts so many levels of spice, if their hottest flavor was at this level, the lower levels must be as spicy as water. I gave the generous 3 stars for the cleanliness of the restaurant and to-go containers. That's some good quality plastic. I think their branding is very good. Came here while visiting Orlando during spring break and the service was great, the food was really good! Not a lot of places we know sell spam and eggs so it was a pleasant surprise that they had that option. The Churro pancakes were delicious! I'm not a pancake person but I finished those up! You could say they're just another burrito place ...but they sort of have a fun atmosphere going on and there's a few interesting things on their quirky menu. General tso's tacos, empanadas, and scorpion pepper shredded chicken burrito; oh my. And what's up with that beefs Chiwawa?! Anywho, spicy chicken quesadilla got the thumbs up from the little one and my Nashville hot burrito was pretty good. They certainly weren't cheap stuffing them up but lunch for two with drinks, no chips and salsa, that's extra, was about 26 bucks. I have been wanting to try this place. Decided to stop by since I was on that side of town. Burritos are HUGE. So many options to choose from with toppings. Unfortunately, there wasn't much flavor to the burrito. I was disappointed. I also ordered some wings for later. Tried them asap and as soon as I opened the container, I could tell that they were going to be really dry. They drop the already fried wings into the oil then season them. Seasoning barely sticking to the wings. So much potential for this spot. Maybe after time I'll try it again. But they need flavor and should find another way to get the wings ready. read more

There lunch times are usually busy but they have an app for ordering and the app has a reward feature as well. As far as pricing it's pretty good too. (4/28/2023) had Bubbakoo's twice in a week because that's what the kids at work wanted. The creative formulations are interesting enough, lots of mix and match and customization. I really enjoyed the Chiwawa, basically a burrito made out of rice that's deep fried and split open. Note, if you're in person, they'll let you add as many sauces as you want, if you order on the app, you're limited to only one. The bone-in wings are fried hard, really hard. The Nashville hot flavor was good, smokey, spicy, slightly sweet (not traditional). Jalapeño poppers were a commercial frozen product, not great for delivery, not sure what I was thinking. Burritodilla is basically a burrito squashed flat into quesadilla form. It's decently junky fast food, great for mixups, probably really great if you're stoned. read more

I just had an awful experience trying to pick up my order. I did not take the order with me. It was about $6 and was my first ever Bubbakoo's order. I was very excited to try it! My order was apparently made before I got there and just left on the counter. When I got there, I went to the order pickup area and there was no order so I waited. And waited. No one ever acknowledged my presence at all. I finally went up and asked if my order got lost. A woman said it was my fault because I should have asked. The app says I don't have to ask. I asked for my money back and was stared at like an idiot. My nachos had been sitting on the counter in a bag with a cold bottle of water for at least 10 minutes, likely longer. There were 3 people working and didn't even have any customers to wait on - but they couldn't take a pickup order to the pickup rack. I just left. You have lost a customer and I'm sad about it. I guess your team doesn't care at all. I emailed customer service on Monday. No response and no refund. Forget overpriced chipotle lol these guys are breaking the league with their freshness, flavor, variety and affordability. From a quick bite for lunch during work to a fun meal with a very cold modelo to wash down the yummy spicy from their barbacoa with queso and fresh pico de gallo. Driven past this place a bunch of times and finally stopped to check it out. It's similar to Moe's or Chipotle for the most part. Better than Moe's (what isn't) and worse than Chipotle. Also they don't have fountain tea unless I somehow just couldn't find it. You're way better off going to any number of mom and pop joints for a better burrito at a cheaper cost. Honestly, I had high hopes for this spot. so perhaps it was my fault. I came in pretty early, about 10 minutes after opening and unfortunately there wasn't much of a greeting. I wasn't too upset about that because I leave space for people to be human and have tough days. I built my own burrito with the cripsy chicken and it was cold (which was shocking because they just opened) and had a lot of fillers. Almost felt like the chicken they serve you in the school cafeteria. I ordered Bubbakoo's for the first time today, didn't take any pictures because I didn't know I'd enjoy it so much! I had two "make your own" tacos; soft taco with grilled chicken, white rice, lettuce, cheese and mango habanero sauce... SO GOOD! hard taco with ground beef, lettuce, cheese, corn salsa and Chipotle crema sauce... this one was good too but wasn't crazy about the sauce. I ordered the jalapeño poppers but only ate one because I was so full, they had a nice crunch to them and I was surprised that I actually liked them with the sour cream being that they're usually served with ranch. My husband got the chicken quesadilla and loved it! He also got a chicken burrito which he wasn't crazy about but did say he'd try it again with the Shredded chicken next time. I ordered online and had someone pick it up and I never received the guacamole, pico de gallo or the sour cream. The whole quesadilla was WET with grease. I never complain but I had to drive all the way back to the store because I couldn't even eat it. The south Asian guy was rude and didn't even apologize and told me I had to wait because of the line which was understandable but no apology for their mess up is unacceptable. After the line was up I just went up and before I could even open my mouth the guy was snappy and said he would get to it in a minute. I just asked for a full refund because at this point I was turned off and didn't understand why he was being so rude. The girl that helped me get the refund was nice and apologized. But because of how that man treated me I will never come back here again. I've come here several times, even brought people here and left great reviews.
