As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a friendly staff member, she told us a little bit about each carnitas dish that was part of the New Cranked Up Menu Items. We picked the Spicy Habanero Carnitas Burrito and the Chipotle BBQ Pork Tacos along with the Dueling Queso and Chips. I loved the tacos, the bbq sauce was not overpowering and you were able to taste every ingredient. My husband had the burrito and he loved the spice level and said it was really filling. The dueling queso and chips was great for us because I am more of a white queso lover and he enjoys yellow queso, perfect dish to share. This particular location of Tijuana Flats is located on Orange Avenue, South of downtown Orlando. It is located within a strip mall, so parking is not really an issue. The service here is exceptional. As my daughter and I approached the entrance, a friendly young woman opened the door and cheerily greeted us. From there, we approached the cashier, who was every bit as friendly and both these interactions started off a fantastic experience at this particular location of Tijuana Flats. Both my daughter and myself ordered something from the new shrimp menu. I went with the shrimp quesadilla and my daughter ordered the shrimp bowl. We also started by sharing their atom bomb appetizer. We also tried quite a few of the hot sauces from their "hot bar" (which have multiple hot sauces ranging from relatively mild to extremely spicy). All the food was excellent and multiple members of the staff, including the manager, kept checking on us, making sure our drinks were kept filled and making sure our experience was as positive as possible. This Tijuana Flats and its team are definitely great ambassadors of the Tijuana Flats brand and a positive reflection of the Tijuana Flats chain overall. My husband happened to get the yelp elite reward to get two soft drinks, one appetizer, and two entrées that were shrimp themed. The appetizer we got was the atom bomb, and I got the shrimp quesadilla and my husband got the shrimp lime bowl. I got a Sprite and my husband got Dr Pepper. My husband took the food home for us to enjoy it, and unfortunately when I took a sip of my sprite it was just soda water with no Sprite flavoring. i'm sure if we were eating at the restaurant they would've replaced my drink. My husband said the root beer was fine. We both felt that the atom bomb appetizer was a bit heavy to us, it was basically a fried quesadilla with multiple types of cheeses inside. My shrimp quesadilla was decent, and I always like how many chips you get from Tijuana. The chips are always really good and I love all of their different salsa choices. I will say I wish my quesadilla had a bit more salt on it but overall it was decent. My husband really enjoyed his shrimp rice bowl but he wished it was a little larger. Lot more food than the shrimp tacos. (oops didn't do a shrimp count per slice) TONS OF CHIPS when you order the chips and guacamole appetizer and a shrimp entree. The guac is pretty basic lacking garlic or cilantro, but fresh. Chips are not over salted and plenty crisp! My parents would tell us to be ready after work because it was Taco Tuesday and I could just taste their queso at the mention of their name! They offer a great taco Tuesday deal that includes two tacos, chips and a drink for just $6.99. Also, if you happen to miss Tuesday, don't worry there's always Throwback Thursday which includes a burrito, chips, and a drink for just $6.99! Anyways, this time I was excited to try out some new menu items and Tijuana Flats never disappoints. We started off with the Tijuana trio which is basically a little sampler of their guacamole, queso, and salsa with chips. (You already know I kept the queso all to myself!) Then for our entrees we wanted to try two different things so I ordered the fajita shrimp quesadilla and my boyfriend ordered the shrimp rice bowl. Out of the two menu items I LOVED the quesadilla! It was cooked perfectly and the shrimp were a decent size. I was a huge fan of the fajita blend inside but would've added a bit more cheese. The shrimp rice bowl was okay but not something I would usually order because it had a slaw that was too sweet for me. My boyfriend did enjoy it and said he would order it again. This location had great service and was extremely cleaned. Parking wasn't too hard to get in and out of but you might miss it if you are coming down Michigan so look out for the Jeramiahs next door. Really enjoyed my visit to Tiajuna Flats this afternoon for the Yelp event. I have been to a few Tiajuna Flats over the years and have never been disappointed. Was greeted by Calla and she was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I ordered the spicy Habenero Carnitas Burrito and my wife ordered the Dos Chipotle BBQ Pork Tacos. The burrito I ordered as is with the exception of no beans. Fantastic. Flavors were popping. Had a great kick to it. Loved it. If you do not like spicy, do not add jalapeños to it. The tacos had a nice kick to them. Flavorful. Would definitely order again. The queso was great. Queso Blanco and Gold Queso. Gold Queso has more of a punch. I placed it on top of my burrito and was a great addition. The atmosphere and customer service was top notch. I would visit this location more, but, due to distance from my house and where I work, it is not ideal for travel. read more

I love coming here whenever I visit my grandparents here! I always get the flautas and they are always delicious. The meat is flavorful and they actually have a good amount of stuffing unlike some places I've had these where the skimp you on the filling. The nacho cheese that comes with it is amazing to and I always get an extra cup when I come here. I really love this restaurant as well because they have a hot sauce bar with 10 different hot sauces you can try that vary from not spicy to make your face melt hot and they are all really good. You can even buy them if you wanted to which is a plus as I love some hot sauce! My mamaw had the chicken quesadilla and that was just amazing and tasted great. They don't over season their meat like some places can and everything tasted so good here. The atmosphere here is great as well and is really fun inside! I usually love stopping in Tijuana Flats but this experience was pretty disappointing today. My go to meal are quesadillas but the ones I received today were seriously lacking cheese. Basically there was just lettuce and tomato in a tortilla shell. I'm not sure if they ran out of cheese or were just running low, but I have never seen anything like this. Been eating at this location for years. The parking is the only downer as it can get tight on a busy evening. Service is always excellent, food is consistently good, and this location is bigger than some of the others around town, so there's plenty of seating. She gave us a menu and let us know that the menus were sitting on the wall behind us, which I totally didn't even see. As we were looking at the menu, the cashier told us they were having $5 burritos and $5 bowls special all weekend. That was a great deal, so my boyfriend ordered a chicken bowl and I ordered a steak bowl. They came with sides of chips and guac. The chips were pretty good, and our bowls weren't too bad; I needed to add a lot of the hot sauce. I really liked that they had a whole bar of hot sauce, and I got the hottest one they had. The second hottest one they had was a ghost pepper hot sauce, but I didn't get to try that because it was out. I tried the third hottest sauce, but I didn't like the taste of it; it was too sour.
