I also always complain about the I Drive area, but there's actually tons of parking at this location and it was pretty quiet for lunch on a Friday! Plenty of tables and space. Was super excited to try this place out as it was greatly recommended by a local. We had a group of 8 people which took a little while to get situated. Seemed decently busy for a weds night. Felt bad for the server as he was swamped and busy so he took a bit of time to get drinks/orders in. When we first sat down they gave us chips and salsa and some kind of jalapeño ranch which was delicious! Down side of waiting for food, it took about 45 mins to finally get food in front of us. I try not to be a regular at many chain locations but if you're looking for quick Texmex, look no further! I've been to this location a couple times now, and it's always been good. The dining room is so fun and interesting. I love hubcaps all over the ceiling. The staff are super attentive. The service is always fast and reliable, everyone is always super friendly. I was so excited to visit Chuy's in Orlando after falling in love with their Miami location (only to have it close less than a year after opening). So naturally, eating here was high on my to-do list while on vacation, and I'm happy to report: it did not disappoint! The food was just as amazing as I remembered: fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Their salsa has the perfect spicy kick, and I am completely addicted to their tomatillo sauce, especially on the enchiladas. Pro tip: you can order items à la carte, which made my second visit even more customized and delicious. Yes, I ate here twice during my trip, because the experience was that good. The atmosphere is bright, quirky, and fun...totally Chuy's. Even for a chain, the service and quality was exceptional. Big kudos for the silent drink and chip refills. Chips come with a creamy tomatillo sauce that is amazing. Honestly, this sauce is the reason I know this restaurant. There is also a salsa with the right amount of kick to it. Even the creamy green chili sauce was a hit. The sauces are what makes it for me here. But there are cons. The menu is very limited both in options and in proteins. Most items come either chicken or ground beef. That's Taco Bell options! The menu is simply a two sided laminated sheet. The chicken enchilada I had was made good by the sauce. The chicken was bland. The rellano I had seemed over cooked and lacking in cheese. Again, I was scraping sauce to add to the rellano. I had a very disappointing experience at Chuy's. After we were seated, our server never brought the complimentary chips and salsa, even though that's a standard part of the dining experience. While we were waiting, another table that had just been seated received their chips, salsa, and drinks almost immediately--before they had even placed their order. I had an extremely serious issue at this Chuy's location on International Drive. My husband and I have been Chuy's customers for over 10 years and eat there roughly every month. This was one of our regular restaurants, which makes this situation even more upsetting. On Monday, June 29, 2026, we were sitting at the bar and left around 9:50 PM, at closing / after closing. We were the last guests in the bar area. My purse was left behind at the bar and contained my ID, credit/debit cards, camera equipment, and personal belongings. We began contacting the restaurant the next morning around 9:00 AM. We were told staff had been in the building until approximately midnight after close, but the purse was supposedly not there. The restaurant also stated they have no cameras. Multiple managers were unable or unwilling to provide a clear explanation of who checked the bar, who cleaned the area, who closed the bar, whether the trash was checked, whether the bartender from that night saw or moved the purse, or what documentation was created. One manager said she would "tear the place apart" after the lunch rush, then left before giving a clear follow-up. A later manager was dismissive and seemed irritated that we were continuing to ask about a missing purse containing ID, financial cards, and camera equipment. I am not claiming to know exactly who took it, but the circumstances are extremely concerning. We were the last guests in the bar area at closing, staff remained in the building afterward, there are allegedly no cameras, and the response from management has been dismissive and inadequate. I would strongly caution anyone visiting this location to keep valuables physically on them at all times. In my opinion, this location handled a serious missing-property situation terribly. read more

Came here on a Sunday night and was relieved that there was no wait time (even though the restaurant was packed). The service was quick and the waitress was attentive. The portion sizes are huge which is great for sharing or for having leftovers. I love that they give you the chips and salsa while you wait for your food - the jalapeño ranch dip is A++++ in my book! For a party of 2, we ordered the chicken ponchos which is enough on its own as a meal. I then ordered the fajita steak/beef bowl. It was my first time ordering it and I think it may be my new go-to. It was a Saturday night and the place was jammed so we knew service might be slower than usual. At Chuy's the silverware comes in small paper bags but one of ours was missing a fork. It took over 10 minutes to get a waitress back to our table to let them know we needed one, and even after making that request one was never brought. Chuy's is a local Mexican chain restaurant, and this one is my favorite location. This one is located on International Drive next to the Escape Game. I have been here many times with my husband, family and friends and we have always had a great experience. They have a really fun vibe with lots of colors, pictures of doggies everywhere and hubcaps on the ceiling. They have booths and tables and seating at the bar as well, along with seating outside. If you go early you can be seated quickly. If it gets later into dinner you are going to wait. I don't mind waiting because they have a bar and what's better with Mexican food than a Margarita! They are so good and can be really large! I love the frozen Mango Margarita. They start you off with chips and salsa. I also asked for creamy jalapeno sauce instead of the salsa. The creamy jalapeno is spicy but I love it and use it on everything! I usually order the same thing, cheese enchiladas with the Tex Mex sauce. This comes with two enchiladas with cheese and the sauce of your choice along with beans and rice. YUM OH! I don't like refried beans, so I always get double rice. Tip: add the creamy jalapeno sauce and ask for extra cheese and add both to the rice!! That combination for me is so delicious. I have also had the fajitas (steak and chicken), and the tortilla soup. Everything is really delicious. I have never had a bad meal here. Everything tastes so fresh and comes out hot and is really just delicious. My parents always get the fajitas (they have for 1 or for 2) and share them. They come with the standard fajita toppings along with beans and rice. My husband always gets the salad which is loaded with chicken and vegetable toppings, as well as cheese and avocado. It is more on the healthier side, but it is really good. Their tortillas are made fresh, with an employee hand rolling and cooking them in the restaurant. I am a big fan of Mexican food, and yes this is a chain with locations around, but it is a really great chain. Everything is fresh, it tastes awesome and is just really good! You definitely need to try it. It does get busy in the evening so you might have to wait but it is worth it. I really like this location, the staff is always great and friendly, the food is delicious, the parking lot is pretty large but again it can get crowded. The place is quite spacious with plenty of seating options. They have a bar, so if you're dining solo, you can easily grab a seat there and enjoy your meal. The décor was a bit of a mystery; right outside, there was a large Elvis Presley statue, and inside, a wall adorned with Betty Boop plates, while another featured Marilyn Monroe, among other quirky items. We visited on a Tuesday around 1 PM, and the wait time was minimal. We were seated at the bar area, where the bartender was attentive and knowledgeable. Our food arrived in about 10 minutes after placing our order. My wife chose the Appetizer Plate, which included a variety of meat quesadillas, cheese nachos, chicken flautas, queso, guacamole, and sour cream. I opted for the chimi roasted chicken burrito, served with Mexican rice and refried beans. Both dishes were delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The prices are quite reasonable, falling on the medium to low end compared to other Mexican eateries. It's clear this is a chain restaurant, and I hope they open one in Tampa soon. read more
