The Chuy's franchise is probably the best, most consistent Mexican food restaurants in Orlando. This location is on International Drive and very close to the Universal parks. This may account for the prices being a bit higher than most non-tourist restaurants in the city. Love the decor. Very unique to say the least. My go to is the Steak Burrito with the hot Hatch Green Chili. It is very spicy and very good. Ask for extra sauce and they will gladly accommodate you. The fajitas are also consistently good. Great location just south of Sand Lake Road with ample parking in back. read more

Waiter was awesome, food wasn't good. The sampler appetizer and steak burrito were bland. They mixed in a lot of the burnt char with the food, which was too overwhelming and nasty. The steak burrito was meat and cheese inside, nothing else. They need to use smokes cumin and other spices to lift the flavor. Just wasn't there at all. We used a lot of salt, pepper and added chip salsa to our meal to help it along. Really disappointing. Hey, chips and salsa was good though! read more

Oh my goodness, totally above & beyond! Our fajitas came with SO MUCH of all the good side stuff which is so rare! Our server Zahra was the absolute best & sweetest & has a very bright future ahead of her :) Just a wonderful experience, we are rarely wowed by restaurants these days but this was top notch!!!!!! read more

So it was my first time going and i have to say i am a Mexican that was raised in California so i dont expect much from tex mex places but i havee to say from authenticity obviously its not a Mexican restaurant but i will say the food is rather good! The inside was adorable and the food like i said was very good i totally recommend this spot read more

We rolled in on a Thursday at 6 with a party of 7. We were lucky, and seated promptly. Our server was right on it with waters and a drink order. Out came the addictive chips, thin, crispy, salty, delicious and we added queso and guacamole. Also had a creamy jalapeño dip that had some bite. The tortilla soup is a must. Not cheese or cream based which is great, and loaded with flavor. Ample tortilla pieces and chicken. The taco salad with beef is fresh and big. I skipped traditional salad dressing and added their hatch chilie sauce, a spicy green chilies that had my nose running! I'd go back, extra mention of the service. Our server just knew how to work the table, and was professional, proficient and friendly. read more

After a great week at the IAAPA expo, I decided to have dinner with my colleagues. We arrived on a Thursday evening around 8ish and were given a 30 minute wait for the dining room area, but there were some spaces open at the bar. We were warned that service could be at the bar due to only one or two bartenders being available, but we were alright with that. We decided to get drinks first, so I decided on the regular margarita on the rocks (9.50). It was surprisingly large sized with refreshing lime and an ample amount of tequila for a small buzz. I did enjoy the chips and queso that my colleague ordered, which had a nice flavor from the gooey cheese. For my entree, the chika chika boom boom chicken enchiladas (15 dollars) were also very generous in portion. There were two ample sized enchiladas astride two rices. The enchiladas were soft with roasted chicken as filling. The sauce gave it a nice kick without being too spicy. Even though I was quite full, I decided to try the tres leches cake (10 dollars) to go as they mentioned it was home made. When I got home to open the box, I was stunned at how huge the cake was. It was big enough for at least 3 to 4 portions with a generous amount of condensed milk and what I thought was caramel sauce on the side, but it tasted more like strawberries. It was sweet and pretty rich, but I enjoyed it for multiple days. Even though we were warned about the slow service, we were able to get our food and drinks in a very reasonable time. Our bartender was friendly and able to make great suggestions. The front desk area was also amiable and helpful. The atmosphere was casual with a bar area in one room, and the dining area in another. There was a good crowd, but nothing loud. I was quite concerned about the roach in the ceiling, but the bartender kinda shrugged about it. More pest control is needed, especially when it is raining outside. Chuys is located near a shopping strip near the Wyndham hotel. Parking is much easier than the ICON park as they have their own lot with a good amount of spaces available. There is also a BJs and Cooper Hawks for alternatives if it gets too full and crowded. The strip also has a fun escape room over there. Even with the roach concern, I can still recommend Chuys as a good Mexican chain. I did enjoy the generous food and good service at a reasonable price. read more

Chuy's is the real deal! One of the best Tex-Mex places I have ever been to. Ambiance is terrific. Food is plentiful and very tasty! Staff bends over backwards for you! I went with my son on his recommendation and was thrilled right from the start. A huge basket of really fresh light tortilla chips with the best pico di gallo I can remember and some tasty cilantro lime sauce place in front of me. The pico had just the right amount of kick to it and was super fresh! We got some fresh guacamole which was yummy and I ordered tortilla soup and a chicken burrito bowl. The soup has the most amazing broth ever! Chickeny, salty, buttery happiness! The burrito bowl was fresh fresh and super tastey. My son ordered an asada burrito and it's said in the menu "as big as your face" and they were not Messi g around. It was huge! Covered in a terrific Tex Mex sauce. So fulfilling and just Tex-Mex joy! Tera was our server and she was on point the entire time. We felt well taken care of. You must experience the flavor, and the atmosphere. You will be back. I know I will! read more

Literally perfect. Great service, great food, beautiful restaurant. Everything was fresh and delicious

Ok, in my defense I was super young, and probably a little tipsy when I wrote this. Was the food good, yes for sure. Was it the best Mexican food I had ever had. No.... I'm 1/2 Mexican! Hahahaha. My abuelita would absolutely throw the chancla at me.! I think it was a combination of the atmosphere and the company that I loved. I still have great memories of this visit. read more

If you are in Orlando, Chuy's is a MUST! I make it a point every time I am in Orlando to go to Chuy's most of the nights for dinner. The queso is absolutely to die for, the house margaritas *chefs kiss* and the food is so delicious! There has not been one single time that I didn't have great food or bad experience! If there is a wait, trust me, put your name down and wait -- it's worth it! read more

Chuys at international drives was one of the best dining experiences I've had in Orlando! The level of service was incredible from our Server Antwon to the manager. Everyone was so welcoming and lovely. We genuinely felt like we were eating at a Michelin star restaurant which was totally unexpected. The food is superb. The sauces are fun. The tres leches cake is OMG life changing. Overall the vibes are impeccable and the service brings it to a top restaurant on our list. As locals, we'll be back often!! Thank you so much for making our week, Antwon! read more

We had a great server, Mychael, who helped us choose sauces that we would like. Overall, most dishes had a little more heat than most Mexican places we go to, but the flavor was good on everything. We chose to sit outside because the weather was great, but just know that the traffic is LOUD. read more

It's been a while since we've eaten at Chuy's and I have to say it was pretty disappointing tonight. The chips are not fresh, and taste very much like bagged chips. They removed the expo window, which means the tortillas must come from a bag also. My son barely ate half of the quesadilla he ordered because the tortilla was too thick and cold. It felt the same way as the tortilla from my enchiladas. They weren't even warm. This used to be a great spot, especially for locals. Even the management staff and servers were nicer before. But with the limited menu items and the way the food is prepared, its not worth the money anymore, especially with the price increase. They really need to bring back the rellenos, taco shell bowls and fresh tortillas and chips. read more

Trying another location of this chain restaurant. Cheap but amazing food! Ordered their Green Chile Combo and it was a lot of food The chicken chile rellano was huge. So i was full and couldn't finish my whole lunch which i ate around 2:30! Service was quick and didn't have to wait long at all. The ambiance of the Chihuahua Bar was amazing. There were so many photos of dogs and the theming was so adorable paying tribute to the loyal breed. read more

Chuy's always delivers a good experience! The colorful, playful decor, the reliably flavorful menu, and attentive service. The complimentary chips are extremely thin and crisp as well as bottomless. Ask for the creamy jalapeno; they don't bring it with the chunky salsa but it is the best! Even better, in my opinion, than the guacamole. They specialize in enchiladas with a variety of sauces available for each. Service at this location was a little more relaxed than I've experienced elsewhere, but it was still quite good. Lots of seating and options. A nice spot on I Drive! read more

Start it all off with chips salsa and their famous Jalapeño creamy dip and your in for a great meal in tourist town. Great service and delicious food leave us always visiting chute when family is in town. You get what you expect with the ambience. A tired theme but it is fun for a spot like this on I Drive. read more

Every time we visit Orlando we always get a bite at Chuys. I personally am a big fan of the shrimp tacos and my guy got the steak burrito. They never disappoint. We also love the white sauce that they have with their chips and the salsa is nice and spicy. Never a wait...always sat quickly. Great place for tacos. read more

Place is adorable on I-drive with colorful decor. Food was good. Had the chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce. Came with rice and beans. The enchiladas had corn tortillas with large pieces of shredded white meat and mozzarella inside. The tomatillo sauce was tangy and mild. The tomato based rice was average, not that special. Did not eat the refried beans. Chips were light and crunchy with a chunky tomato salsa. The chips were endless. Food was good, hot and reasonably priced, but the service was slow. Unsure if shorthanded or not as attentive. Long time to order and get check to pay. Not as special as I remember visits pre pandemic. Could take it or leave it. read more

Everyone was amazing when we stopped in for lunch yesterday. The hostess offered my daughter some coloring pages and crayons. The fajitas were delicious, we also love the chicken nachos but did not order that this round. Wish we lived closer we would be here once a week. read more

Service was decent here. The food was cheap if you are looking to dine with family or come for happy hour however the cleanliness of this restaurant is horrible. I'd hate to see what the kitchen looks like. My menus had black mold all over them. The wall at the table is covered in nasty old food and the salt shaker had some black foreign thing in it along with a lot of moisture and rice. I had the queso and a taco salad with a margarita. Queso was less than appetizing the taco salad was good along with the strawberry mango margarita. I would not dine here again however. read more

Ehh, I like my fair share of Tex mex but Chuys definitely did not hit the mark. There were some issues with accommodating our large party, which is understandable. But the biggest issue I had was the food was way too salty. Half my family ordered the fajitas and it's like they threw a tub of salt onto the food. Ambiance is fun and light but overall definitely going elsewhere. read more

I have been wanting good Tex Mex ever since I moved to Florida from Texas. My wish was finally granted! I ordered the custom enchiladas with cheese and tomatillo. My husband ordered the soft ground beef tacos. Everything was delicious. But the best part of our meal was our wonderful server Ashton who went above and beyond for us. When we come back we are for sure asking for his section. He went above and beyond for us and made sure we were satisfied with our dining experience. I love when Mexican restaurants offer complimentary chips and salsa when you sit down. The boom boom sauce on their chicken enchiladas is really good. The drink menu was a bit misleading though because the frozen margaritas are priced $9 for a regular and we were offered a choice of flavors including ruby red but then when the check came, apparently the ruby red is more expensive than the other flavors. Id be back and recommend the ruby red frozen margarita but think they should adjust the price to match the other flavors. read more

Queso dip was the best thing about this place, that and the chips. Beef Fajitas were on the chewy side, and the server didn't remember what he was doing half the time. He forgot the water and the utensils and messed up my enchilada order. Chile relleno and enchilada were very plain. The chille relleno was one of the worst I've ever had. Weird flash fried on the outside and soggy on the inside with weird tasting ground beef. I just spent my time eating the queso. The beef enchilada had the same weird queso. What an odd overall meal. read more

One of the best Tex-Mex in town! Atmosphere: Reminds me of a old school Tex-Mex feel, including the colors, art, and venue, awesome look. Moderate volume, clean but could be better. Service: Highly recommend booking ahead, join the waitlist ahead, do everything you can to get early service on weekends, this is a hot spot so prepare to wait if you don't book ahead. Unfortunately, the host was a let down, maybe she had a bad day but she was a little rude, sat us without asking any seating for our child, wish that was a better experience. Service was great, did wait for her a few times in the end but I understand it was busy. Drink: I ordered the famous Rita which was delicious, a regular size is just enough in my opinion so definitely try it out if you're into any frozen cocktails. Food: To start off, they provided the chips and salsa and unfortunately the salsa was terrible in my opinion, too plain and bland. For apps, we just had some chips and queso and the queso was one of the best queso Dios I've had in a long time, it's a must without a doubt. For my entree, I had the steak burrito and I'm not sure if it was the cocktail that caused this but it was out of this world, full of flavor, from the burrito to the rice and beans. My wife had a chuychanga which was also great, flavor was on point, can't complain. Verdict: If you're around the area, you will not be disappointed, the food here is amazing, lots of flavor, drinks on point as well. If it wasn't for some of the service I would've gave it a 5 so hopefully on my next visit, it'll be better! read more

Food was phenomenal, the creamy Chile sauce was hot but delicious. We will be back. Definitely a hidden gem on I-drive.

A couple weeks ago a group of us from my grad cohort went out to Chuy's to celebrate our friend Molly's birthday! I'm a big fan of Chuy's as it's been a go-to restaurant for me since I lived back in Texas. This experience was no different! I always order the chicken flautas, which are tortillas stuffed with chicken, rolled, and fried. Yum! Pro tip: if you go to Chuy's, always ask your waiter to bring out the creamy jalepeno dipping sauce alongside your chips and salsa. It's the perfectly blend of creamy and delicious Had a great time at this Chuy's location, and would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a casual restaurant to grab a bite to eat with some friends. read more

I went to Chuy's for the first time after going to an event nearby and enjoyed my experience. It is what you would expect of a typical Tex-Mex place. I ordered the Chicka-Chicka Boom Boom enchiladas which were soooo good. I loved the cheese and sauce that came with them. The beans and rice also made it a pretty good portion size. I also enjoyed the queso and chips. The atmosphere is great with some fun decor. I didn't love the customer service during my experience. We waited in the entry room for quite a bit because we couldn't find the hostess or the waiters. My waiter probably could have checked up on us a little bit more when we were seated and wanting refills. read more

I'm hesitant to post this because I do like Chuy's and the staff seems nice and it's always possible that it's something else, but I got sick after eating there last Friday and my girlfriend was sick months back at the same location when I first bought her. Chuy's is an excellent choice for those venturing for Tex-Mex food. "Tex-Mex" is not the same as "Mexican" food. There is a difference and you will see it in the variety and style of cooking. You still have your tortillas and taco shells and your guacamole, but you have a freedom to mix and match food with the "Tex-Mex" genre. Take a look at the menu and don't be afraid to venture out of your comfort zone to try something different. I recommend the appetizer platter. You get a little bit of everything as far as flautas, tacos and half tostadas. We actually chose the bar area because the place FULL TO THE MAX and we did not want to wait. We asked to be seated at the bar. Well, it was sit where it's open. There were two tables that were empty, but not clean. We had to wait AND THEN ask if they were going to clean them off so we could sit. If you from 4 to 7pm at the bar during the week, they have a nacho bar with beans, ground beef and queso dip. We got there right when it was almost over so there was not much left. People were waiting in the lobby getting stuff that were lot even from the bar area... LOL. They don't get 5 stars yet, but the food was good and you get FULL. read more

I've been wanting to try the place for years and finally went to the spot on I-drive. It's festive and fun! The Tex-Mex restaurant has anything from nachos to chalupas. We went on a Monday night and they seated 12 of us together. There are bottomless chips and spicy salsa on the table and plenty of decor to look at. The classic margarita was a nice cocktail to start off with. The menu options are plentiful and the chicken enchiladas topped with queso sauce along with the refried beans and yellow rice was delicious. I couldn't finish all of it since it was a lot on the plate. The staff was great in handling all of our orders and brought the food out rather quickly. We had four kids at the table, so maybe that helped a little ;) There was a friendly balloon artist that was giving out awesome balloon creations singing his heart out at each table.
