My coworkers and I decides to go her after work for a quick bite to eat. The place was clean and the cashier was nice. I ordered the queso paisa and it was pretty good. I didn't expect so much cheese yet wish it was a bit melted on the ends. Next time I want to go and try their empanadas. 2 of my coworkers said they were good!

Was looking for something to eat in the area and I came across this place called Arepas El Cacao. Upon entering I was the only guest inside but it was a cute little restaurant. While I was placing my order I was talking to the worker pretty much just asking her what she recommends and she told me to go with either cacao 1 or cacao 3, I decided to go with number 1 combo, beef empanada and paired it with a mango juice. I will say it is a little pricy. The Arepa was really good! It was filled with shrimp, cheese, chicken salad. It is a little messy but it was delicious. The empanada tasted really good also & it was a good portion. All my food was made to-go & I will be back soon!

The arepas are pretty good. They are less "full" compared to how they used to be years ago. But still taste good. The prices are a bit high, especially when you end up getting drinks and any other side item. The place could be cleaner. The staff could be friendlier. It's a small establishment with a few bar style seating options inside and a few seats outside. I usually purchase to-go. The parking lot is always packed and not the easiest to get in and out of. Still, I go once in a while to satisfy the arepa craving.

This is a hidden gem on the side of the road which is not easy to get into. Know that the parking lot is tiny and there is only one road in/out. I might reccommend parking in one of the adjacent lots and walking through the parking lots. I'm sure that's frowned upon, but will make your life much, much easier when you arrive and depart. Also, the service is a bit slow, but, I don't think you'll mind once you have your food - totally worth it. Onto the food, it's excellent! The arepas have tons of flavor and are very filling; you definitely don't need more than one to feel full. I'm bummed that I haven't tried a smoothie yet. As I watched them be made, they looked incredible; definitely on the list for the next visit. I got the arepa with beef inside and I want to try others, but that will be a difficult choice since that one was so good.

Years ago I use to come here and spent $12 for a cachapa and a passion fruit drink. Now it's $22 ? $5 to add shredded chicken ? That's insane and also I remember when the guys here were super nice, costumer friendly but now they treat their co workers better then the costumer. Today the young lady that took care of me was singing In my face as she was taking my order. $22 ? Texas steakhouse has better food and a lot more in your plate for that amount.

Second time eating here. Both times the food has been very good. The cachapas are my favorite. Both times we've come have been in the weekend around lunch time. We haven't had any of the problems that others mentioned worth customer service, lack of filling, or bad tastes. The prices at the arepa restaurant we frequent at home are similar and portions are similar as well. We split the mixta cachapa plus added fresh tamarindo jugo and parcha jugo. We were quite happy with our food and experience.

I was sad to see so many negative reviews! I love this place--I always have to come with my boyfriend when we are in Orlando. He is from Venezuela, and we love the food. Great tastes here! I always get an arepa with queso guayanés and black beans, and we share tequeños. Yum!

$73 worth of food here, extortion?

Lackluster. Don't get me wrong, the food is good but nothing special (anymore), worse than that is the completely frigid and unhelpful customer service. I am a native Spanish speaker and even that didn't help me when trying to order, seems like they just don't want to give service or help you out in any way. I also have to say that the value is awful for what you get which is even more disappointing.. Almost $7 for a small (their large) side of rice or beans, please a can of beans is maybe what $2?? Extortionate prices if you choose to get more than just an arepa.. Pretty confident you can find a better place in the area for sure. Yet, the worse part is knowing that this place was once a great place to go get arepas when it used to be "Arepas el Gran Saman", if you knew them from the food truck days, you'll know what I mean!

Amazing food and drinks! Lots of choices from pork to just cheese, I love a simply cheese and ham with butter! Super friendly staff and a simple seating area. Don't forget the garlic aioli!

I love specialty stores! What did I get I got the cachapas with beef on the inside. I am no expert when it comes to arepas or cachapas but all I know is I like this. I was told that they have the special cheese in the cachapas so I had to get it! Especially when i never had it before. The cachapas was sweet and not savory like the arepas. Though it was sweet adding the beef didn't make it taste bad and worked well for me. Environment It is a very small store in a small strip mall. Definitely not sit down and eat friendly. There are a couple of high top chairs but other than that it is pretty a take out restaurant. Place your order, wait, get it and leave Niceness of the staff The staff seems to speak limited English. I wanted to know the differences between the cachapas and the arepas. I at least got the major difference. Dollar It was very reasonable. Great lunch options. My cachapas was less than $10 Yes? Yea, I definitely want to try another item on the list. #WendyWanders

For the amount of food you get at the price they offer, you'd expect more food. $13 for a tiny plate of food, no drink.

They have only 3 items: Venezuelan Arepas Ham and grilled cheese sandwiches($7) Colombian hamburgers The Arepas($5) are filled with either shredded beef and cheese or chicken and cheese. The photo on their menu shows crappy American cheese but that isn't what they put on it, they use a white shredded type cheese. The Arepas themselves are white but not really sweet and they cut it in half to open it up like you would a pita and stuff the ingredients inside. They have 3 sauces in squeeze bottles you can put on as much as you like. Garlic sauce, Tartara and a Spicy one. I asked him a few times what peppers were in the spicy one but he just kept saying chili. All of the sauces had a similar white consistency but my fav was the garlic. The spicy one was good too but it wasn't very spicy just a little. I didn't get to try the other 2 items but the Colombian guy working there said they were really good. They also sell soda and water, go try em out after you have danced your booty silly and are wasted out of your mind, then they will taste like heaven in your hand. He said they usually stay open until about 3:30 AM #OrlandoFoodTrucks

The bartender acknowledged us and told us that someone would be with us shortly. We had to wait a few minutes, but we were eventually sat. Our waiter came over right away. He was nice, but he took about 10 minutes explaining the menu going through each category and giving his suggestions. It was just a little bit too much information and a little overwhelming. The glasses on our table were also dirty. Our waiter handled it well and brought us new cups. I ordered an iced latte and our waiter brought me a hot latte, but he was nice enough to change it to iced. For our entrées, we ordered the lemon pancakes, breakfast flatbread, potatoes, breakfast paella and avocado toast. The highlight was the pancakes. The lemon flavor was really present and the blueberries on top added a nice sweet touch. The potatoes were also delicious with the sauce that was on them. The avocado toast was okay. It was really small and not very flavorful. My friends loved the breakfast flatbread but I felt it was a little watery. The paella was underwhelming. Some of the rice was a little hard. It just didn't hit like the other dishes did, but then again I don't really like rice for breakfast. Overall, it was a great experience. There were just a few misses, but I will continue to dine here.

They have bench seats and independent chairs. They do not have outdoor tables. About the service... long wait all around. I ordered a Coke Zero, they brought a can with a straw- I would say very reminiscent of what you would get in a kiosk in Puerto Rico, but other tables got a cup and ice. Maybe it's upon request? My husband ordered Perrier, or soda water, but they don't have any. It could be that they only serve canned drinks, not from a machine. So he got water, refills come very rarely. So far trickling slow. Every time I decide to do a "realtime review", something happens that it makes the service very slow. They play Latin music in the background. Food's here. I ordered a pork pincho with mofongo and I have to agree, these are deep fried (carne frita). The tostones were good, he said. My pincho is very fatty and the flavor is ok, not seasoned as I would expect. The mofongo is on point, with crispy bits of pork rinds. The bill reflects a 4% increase if you use a credit card, regardless of your party size. I might come back and try some other items, though. Better luck next time.
