The young man in charge last night was very polite and attentive! The place was super clean and they've remodeled a bit since I was here last. I had the pollo a la plancha con salsa criolla (grilled chicken with a traditional "sauce" on top, paired with white rice, fried plantains, and a salad! This plate was not only ginormous, but it was delicious (so much that I had leftovers for work the next day haha). I sipped on a refreshing natural lemonade made in house, a must try!! This was the fist time I have been here. It will not be the last either. I had my dinner in and they take sanitation serious. They have sanitizer on each table and the staff are wearing mask. I was seated quickly and placed my order. I got the mango water it was amazing. It was made fresh. My food came out fast and it was hot and full of flavor. My boyfriend is Colombian and so he sometimes gets a hankering for Colombian food. We typically go to a spot in Lake Mary since it's by our job, but today we didn't work and were too lazy to go out and get food. So we decided to use UberEats and saw this place listed. We each ordered bandeja paisa and he asked for extra green sauce & pico. When the food finally arrived, we were both excited. That is, until we actually started digging in. If you don't know what bandeja paisa is, let me give you the low-down. It's a typical Colombian dish that consists of rice, a fried egg, avocado, an arepa, steak, chorizo, chicharron, and sweet plantains. Sounds good, right? Unfortunately it was not. To say the very least, it was very blaaaaaahhhh. I immediately began stuffing my face upon arrival. The rice was good, plantains delish, but the meats? Eh. The steak was so.... tasteless. My boyfriend was so disappointed, as he was eating, he started asking me how to write a yelp review. Aside from it being tasteless, it was also overcooked, which made it difficult to eat. So I tried the chicharron (kinda like really thick bacon) because that's usually VERY flavorful. Nope. Not from here. Tasteless as well! So disappointing. At this point I stopped eating. My boyfriend stated that the chorizo (sausage) was "alright." Lastly, they didn't even give us the extra sauce. Which is hilarious because, stapled to the bag was the receipt of our order, "extra green sauce & pico" printed on there. I guess they don't read?
