We went for an early dinner and the place was almost empty , the woman at the front counter was helpful in ordering. The menu was a little hard to follow but that's okay. We live nearby and ever since they opened up in 2022, they have been a welcome addition to Clermont's Latin food scene. Everything here is great and you can't go wrong. We usually get a steak quesadilla or taco salad with ground beef and chorizo. We've also tried the beef chimichangas as well. Although we had traveled to Clermont for the farmers market but were a bit hungry and we wanted Mexican so we thought let see if their as good as their original location. Stopped by Taco Norteño today for lunch. Bright place with yellow walls and chairs. This is one of those places where you order before you sit. Menu was intriguing. Landed on the Norteño #2, 2 pork carnita tacos, 1 taco carne asado and a tostada with carne asado. I went to a table, passed by the taco topping bar. It was home to self serve sauces ranging from hot to mild, a pico, a guacamole sauce, sour cream etc... Corn chips are available by the self serve soda station. Chips are self serve and not all that great. As for the Norteño #2, I preferred the pork over the carne but it was all very very very delicious and wonderful. I went for lunch today, The tacos were decent. You order when you come in. Chips are self serve and toppings are too. My biggest disappointment was the salsa. It was pretty bland. Everything tasted fresh though. I was expecting more kick fresh the salsa. TodY, it was really pink like when using not fully ripened tomatoes. I'll give them another try though. I basically paid 20 dollars for chips. I couldn't eat any of it except a little beef taco not even the size of my hand everything else went to waste. The food was so dry I couldn't even swallow it. When I called and asked for a refund an hour after I had left (still had all the untouched food ina. To go box) I explained the issue and offered to bring the food back asking for a refund they said just because I had already walked out the door with it there was absolutely nothing they could do not even a partial refund. I explained that the reason I didn't call back sooner was because I had an appointment I couldn't call during and they didn't care. This is a small "hole in the wall" type place, but I'm glad I found it! You order your food and drinks before you sit down. The prices are reasonable. The decor is authentic and so is the music. I love Mexican music! They have a chip and salsa bar, which is unlimited. You serve yourself in these little cardboard boats and you can choose from different types of salsas (verde, tomatillo, pico de gallo and some types of hot sauce). They also have lime slices, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and jalapeño slices to compliment your food/top it off. Food was quick and delicious! And delicious meat was tender and it had enough toppings, hubby got the parrillada Norteña for $20 the portions were a bit small but over all the taste was really delicious! This place has been open for approximately 3 months and the food in my opinion is delicious great street tacos ( those would be the small taco's you get 6 per order). Well this little place in Clermont on the Hwy 50 next to Save a Lot is another place that make me feels at home. It's kinda like a little taste of Mexico. They have several different types of salsas hot medium and mild all flavorful. All there food is in opinion excellent. When bite into the the tacos or burritos the juices just flow in your mouth and every taste bud savers the juices that flow all over them. I guarantee you I don't think you will be disappointed.
