Needed to get a snack on the way to an event, so we got a duo of one beef enchilada and one chili relleno ($8.99) and a side of guac ($2.99). It was so good that we decided to stay get the chicken mole enchiladas (13.95), instead of eating what probably would have been sad crockpot tacos where we were going. (I was craving a black bean quesadilla) She could've simply said nothing, removed the item and let me pay my bill in peace as I had specifically shared that I am indeed pregnant. I'm a slim woman, so it doesn't show much but pregnant and emotional non the less. The attitude and history lesson were unnecessary and unasked for. My waitress Miah however was an ANGEL and am forever grateful to her understanding nature as she 1. Tried to accommodate my craving and 2. gently dismissed my no longer wanting the item without a fuss. Love this casual Mexican spot. It's a family favorite, so we'll be back. I've always loved the margaritas here, but I was shocked to learn they don't t have a liquor license. So it is made from wine. May seem impossible, but they are so tasty, with no buzz or hangover afterwards. We tried traditional, mango and strawberry versions at our table. Our first batch of chips were good. Made in house with a delicious, fresh salsa. I prefer the queso with a hint of jalapeño. I nearly licked the bowl. None left. Unfortunately, our second basket of chips was bad, tasting like they were cooked in old oil. My in laws enjoyed shrimp fajitas which came heaping with a dozen shrimp, roasted green & red peppers and onions. And your choice of corn or flour tortillas. It is so much food that they bring half home for a second meal. I enjoyed the carnitas which came with onions and fajita toppings, plus choice of tortillas. I thought it was tasty. But they are on the drier side vs marinated carnitas. I supplemented with the queso for the chips. My husband had a chicken burrito filled with shredded chicken and beans with red sauce. Tried carry-out here for the first time yesterday. I was impressed. The rice that came with the combo meal wasn't good, but the taco, enchilada and tamale were very good. Stopped here for lunch with the team while working at Groveland City Hall. We were seated right away even though the business looked packed. It was a really good lunch. This is a nice little restaurant we found on our way from Clermont to Clearwater. The fam was hungry and Mexican food fit the bill. The service was good and they do check on you but not obsessively. This place is absolutely terrible in comparison! The carne asada was COMPLETELY flavorless and quite small actually. DEFINITELY NOT AUTHENTIC!!! We didn't even get silverware before the food was served. We had to ask the waitress who was very inattentive 50 times for everything! No napkin's brought to the table...nothing! The seafood enchiladas tasted like old fish and the shrimp,scallops and fish all tasted like they were stored in the same fish bucket. I couldn't tell one from the other! I assumed it was because it was after church time and the only place to go, but I soon realized that was only part of it. The rest was because of the food. The menu is extensive and the prices were cheap. My mom and I shared a 3 dish combo of pork tamale, pulled beef enchilada, and chile relleno and a tortilla soup. Everything was homemade and absolutely delicious! Super fresh, super flavorful, and super yummy! I was very pleasantly surprised! The tamale was a little dry and was my least favorite of the dishes, but the shreeded beef enchilada (with verde sauce) was fantastic! As was the Chile relleno (red sauce). I think that was my first time having chile relleno and it was my favorite part of the meal. The next time I am in Bushnell and need to grab lunch, this is where I'm going again. *The only downfall was it was kind of dirty and dingy, and the ladies room was disgusting. Sticky floors, off-putting smell, and I didn't even feel clean after washing my hands. Gross. That's why 4 stars instead of 5. read more

I've been to this restaurant twice before. The first time about 3 years ago. It was good. Far better than it is now. The answer to my question of why it wasn't busy on a Saturday was obvious after getting the food. The chips and salsa was good. Everything else lacked flavor. The burrito was dry chicken in a tortilla with a tiny bit of sauce on top. The enchiladas were equally dry. I cannot recommend eating here. I have eaten here an average of once per week since moving to the area two years ago. After all, supporting local restaurants is the right thing to do. Always enjoyed the food and service UNTIL my last visit a few days ago. I have eaten the same meal as I ordered on my last visit many times. This time the food was just average. The salsa is wonderful.....best in the area. The real issue was the service or rather lack thereof. First, it took forever for our order to be taken. The drinks had way too much seltzer and we asked for a different drink. The replaced drink showed up with the food some 5-10 minutes later. All the while I am eating hot salsa and chips with nothing to drink. Speaking of nothing to drink, I had to get up and find a server to get refills. I found 3 employees sitting at the check in/check out counter all playing on their phones and paying no attention whatsoever to the patrons in the restaurant. It was not busy....maybe 4 or 5 tables with patrons. Unbelievable that employers allow employees who are there to serve patrons to spend what was not a minute, but a lot of time playing on a phone. Employees need to understand that they are there to serve the patrons! I have been a good customer, but I plan to take a long break from this restaurant and seek other Mexican cuisine in the area.
