Bar side of restaurant only has high tops-no place for a handicapped person in a wheelchair to sit in bar. Food tastes okay, BUT is way overpriced in my opinion. Their Luna Azul tee-shirt club is a rip off/pricey/too strict rules. Service is fair. Have dined here a couple of times. The decor might be the only thing I can say positive. read more

This is in an old shopping plaza, on the end of the side perpendicular to the road. It has a large, 2 section dining room and a bar section. Server was quick to bring chips and salsa and take our drink order. The chips were good, but the salsa was average. The menu has 4 pages. Prices were a little higher than average, but not significantly so. I got the dinner with a beef burrito, cheese enchilada and shredded chicken hard taco. The enchilada was delicious. The chicken taco was good. The beef burrito was cold and had way too much chili seasoning. The rice has peas and green beans. They serve Coke Zero. Overall, they don't come close to my favorite Mexican restaurant which is also closer to home and bigger servings. read more

The service was fantastic, although the A.C. is a bit cold and you need a sweater here, this place needs 5 stars, my server is Yessi and she needs a definant raise. We use to live in area and would visit establishment when it was under previous ownership and decided to give it a try with its new (to us) name. Decor is now black and blue, but everything else felt familiar. We ordered a burrito and a chili relano for lunch. Had to send burrito back as we wanted it hotter (oh, that's right, we did that most of the time we ate there before). The chili relano was bathed in a mole sauce that reaked of chili powder. Based on the appearance of the sauce on the plate, I suspect the plate had been warmed in a microwave. While the stuffing was hot, the breaded chili pepper was soft and soggy, not what one expects for a "fried" dish. I ate it, but we were both underwhelmed. What a terrible experience...both service and food. Serving soupy Mac and cheese to kids 20 minutes after adults were served is terrible. The when they asked for a side of white rice because they didn't like it...only to be charged 3.70 for a side of white rice is terrible. The new owners changed the name, look and some items from the previous restaurant in this location. The updated decor looks great and menu offers a great selection. The servers are fast and friendly. They immediately start you off with good chips and salsa. You should try the chorizo dip $10. It's really good. We decided to try the create your own combo. For 2 items the cost is $16.90. It is a large plate of food. The grilled chicken chimichanga was delicious. The steak quesadilla had good flavor and the meat was tender. The burrito loco ($17.90) is huge and could feed 2 people. Fantastic combo meal for 13.99. Be sure and go to next to last page of huge menu as at first glance it looks like everything is 16.99 and up. The combos are 13.99 as of August 2025. I had a fantastic ground beef tostada, a cheese chili relleno, and a ground beef hard shell taco. All were outstanding, and I brought half of it home for dinner. The chips and salsa were good too and we ate very few of those. Nice little restaurant tucked in a shopping center on the right as you enter. Not too tacky decor but nice enough. Food and service was excellent on a Saturday at noon. I normally get chicken in something but that day I was feeling beef, and it was ground small and very well seasoned, and plenty of it. Excellent! Went there for an early dinner, about 4pm. They weren't busy & we got straight in. Very friendly greeting & prompt seating. Our server couldn't have been nicer or more attentive. We waited 9 months to return. Maybe we shouldn't have. Service was patient and friendly. The menu is huge and it took us a while to digest it. While we perused the menu, we had drinks. The place is pretty nice inside. The happy hour special for wine is $1 off the regular $7 cost. The pour was decent. The house margarita was BOGO 50% off. It worked out to $6 a drink. It tasted alright but was rather weak. Draft beer was available but the server warned us it was warm tonight. One in the party ordered tacos deluxe (3) with shredded chicken. He liked the flavor and size. He had trouble separating two tacos wrapped in foil and made a bit of a mess. Another ordered the pollo ala crema. It was an odd dish with a small flattened chicken breast smothered in a cheese sauce. She was not a fan. I ordered a carnitas platter. About 1/3 was fat, about 1/3 was dried out and the remaining 1/3 was okay. The rice, beans and pico/salad were tasty. Food prices were high but there is a coupon that regularly appears in The Villages Sun that will get you 20% off entree prices. There is also a deal for diners wearing a Luna Azul t-shirt and we were about the only ones not wearing one in a crowded dining room. The $18 burrito had an underwhelming amount of meat/ carne asada, so it looked big but was easy and quick to eat with no leftovers, just mostly rice, beans, guac, sour cream... and not a lot of flavor to get it past a neutral rating. The tostadas were free but were too stale to add more filler to the meal. $7 Flan was decent/ solid dessert, also small for the cost. I love trying new places but this was a one-and-done for me. The servers did a phenomenal job. I ordered a top shelf margarita which was huge! We had chips and salsa until we could figure out what to order. I ordered the naked burrito, which came in a bowl w refried beans, lettuce, mixed vegetables, guacamole, sour cream. You do have the option to add meat but I do not eat meat.
