Love this place! My husband and I are frequent flyers here because it's a quick, easy, affordable, delicious meal on those weeknights that you just don't feel like cooking. They often have specials throughout the week, too, to save you even more money. I placed an online order for pick-up this past Thursday for two burritos. We both ordered steak burritos, which is a little bit different than our norm. The burrito was full, delicious, and had a ton of steak in it to make two meals! The ingredients were fresh and hot, too, even when I got home - which means that it was freshly made. The environment when I went into the facility was booming. Food was good, customer service was excellent, restaurant atmosphere was ok. They have indoor and outdoor seating areas. They is plenty of parking in the shopping plaza. We ordered the Dueling Queso as a started, one of our favorites. I had their Garlic Lime Shrimp Bowl, it was so very well seasoned and they gave you a lot of food. My husband ordered a Burrito topped with Queso and he made it a meal which added Rice and beans to it. Everything was delicious. One thing I liked was that the sauce bar has lids for any sauce you might want to pack and bring home with your leftovers and it also has small paper bags for you to pack up your leftover chips. They also gave me a top that fit my bowl which made it easy to bring home without worrying about it spilling over in the car. I was so excited to see the Mexican pizza was brought back! This is what I always ordered back in college in 2015 that kept me returning multiple times per week. It was my favorite studying food. I never understood why I couldn't continue ordering it after it was removed from the menu, because all of the ingredients were already available for other menu items. However, my excitement quickly turned into frustration when I ordered my first Mexican pizza again after all these years, only to get the saddest piece of pizza I've ever seen. First time visit here! Very similar to Qdoba in the fact you walk in and order but you don't get to see you food made. I missed that part. The food was very good and seasoned for the most part but the steak seemed to be under seasoned. I wanted more flavor from the steak. Really loved the hot bar where you could pick your own sauce and level of spice. The yellow queso was good but tasted like that glass jar Tostitos cheese dip. Tijuana Flats makes several of their menu items from scratch each day. The chips, salsa , tortillas, queso and guacamole are fresh prepared in house daily. The queso surprises me because it tastes exactly like the processed nacho cheese sold at stadiums and movie theaters everywhere. Their chicken is hormone free and they never use a microwave to cook or warm food. We ordered two beef tacos, chicken chimichanga and chips & queso . The chicken chimichanga was very good. Placed order online just as I did before. The great thing about curbside is they will have and associate come out to check to see if you are here because there is no "I'm here" or "I have arrived" button on the app to alert them that you have arrived. Each time I visit it's a great experience I'm here I get it I go. if you are practicing social distancing this is fast and easy. They have about six curbside parking spaces available. Earlier this week, I arrived about five minutes before closing to find the kitchen closed. A very apologetic manager explained that they had shut the grill about 15 minutes earlier. Without prompting and in an attempt to make up for inconveniencing me, he loaded me up with free iced tea, chips, queso, salsa and a gift card to give me additional incentive to give them another chance. Tonight, I made that return trip to enjoy Taco Tuesday (two big soft or hardshell tacos with chips and a medium drink for $5.99). My companion had a steak quesadilla and a Coke. The place was a major, but both meals were delivered to our table promptly and both were delicious. We placed a phone order and when arriving to pick the order up we noticed that the front door was filthy as if no one had cleaned it for a few days and to be frank the place looked dirty and run down on the inside...I can only imagine the condition of the restrooms considering everything else that I had seen while just walking in. The food was overly salted making it somewhat disgusting and for the price it just isn't worth it... The employee's seem more interested in socializing rather than getting the job done. We visit this location often with our friends who live in Clermont. The service is always friendly and attentive, and the food is to par with other Tijuana Flats locations. When we eat at the location, the servers always make sure out drinks are kept filled, even when we sit outside. My only complaint is that my order was made incorrectly once (refried beans, which I kind of hate, instead of black beans), but I didn't say anything because I always feel bad about correcting mistakes like that, and I think that was on Taco Tuesday so they were very busy. We go there pretty often and other than that my orders have always been made perfectly. We usually don't make the mistake of visiting on the very busy Tuesdays! read more

While a good restaurant for a burrito and a bit of hot sauce, do not expect much more. I do like that I found a hot sauce with Carolina reaper in it, but I was left overall unimpressed. A similar restaurant in winter garden has a lot more choices in hot sauces, a larger outdoor area and even has tequila. My blackened chicken burrito for about 9 bucks was mostly flour tortilla and I ate about half without really any meat. To make matters worse, the rice was hard enough in spots to make me think I had chipped my tooth. The sauce is flavorful and the counter staff is nice, but anyone who came out of the back didn't even look me in the eye. It's been several years since I have been to a Tijuana's. This was my first time at this location. One thing is for sure, I have not been missing anything. I seldomly write a one star review, this place is the exception. Wow, where do I start? Very disappointing experience. When you walk in, you have to walk through the cigarette smoke from the small patio positioned right outside the door. We went on Taco Tuesday. You get 2 tacos, chips and a drink for $5.99. The cashier was not friendly at all. Not one smile or hello. In fact, it was as if I was bothering her with my order. I told her it was my first time there. No acknowledgement of that. I asked if fish tacos were an option for the taco Tuesday deal. She said yes. I also asked if there was a fish burrito option, but unfortunately there was not. Tacos it is then. She asked me if I wanted hard or soft tacos. I said soft and asked if they had soft corn. She said no, corn was the hard tacos only. Soft tacos came in wheat or flour so I chose flour. I wish I could describe her very cold demeanor in responding to my questions about the taco shells. Yes, she may be tired of the questions, but I did tell her it was my first time there, she didn't need to have such an attitude about it. She gave me my total, $8.98. What peeves me here is that she should've told me about the extra charge for the fish, roughly $2.50 more, before charging me. After ordering, we found a table. My arm went right into a bunch of salsa mess left on the table from the previous patrons. I asked a nearby girl that was refilling salsas if someone could wipe the table and provide me with a wet wipe or paper towel for my arm. Someone came over to wipe it down. However, no apology and no paper towel for my arm. They could've pointed me in the direction of the bathroom at least. Geesh! Now for the food. The size of the taco shells were good. However, the amount of fish was laughable. I paid extra for about an ounce in one taco and maybe 2 ounces in the other. One taco had two pinkie sized width and length pieces of mahi fish. The other had a 1" piece, along with a pinkie sized piece. The rest was pico de Gallo and a few bits of cabbage. If I was ordering a veggie taco, this would've fit the bill. See pics. I immediately asked for a manager. Another unfriendly girl came out saying she was the manager. I told her the amount of fish in my tacos was unacceptable. She proceeded to defend the amount of fish by telling me that they are pre-portioned. Again, I said the amount of fish in my tacos was not acceptable, especially considering I paid more for it. I made sure she saw the amount in my tacos, which really did not seem unusual to her. She finally offered to bring out more fish on the side, which I accepted. Again no apology. It was clear why the other girls have the same unfriendly attitudes. It comes from the top. Needless to say, I won't be back! read more

This place has amazing customer service but unfortunately I don't think I'll be going back. The first time I went I ordered take out and they forgot the cheese on my quesadilla. It was really disappointing but I was so happy with how they handled it that I decided to give them a second chance. Unfortunately, I was just as disappointed the second time around. I love their chips, I love my bowl, I love nachos, and I love some Smack My Sweet A$$ And Call Me Sally. I only deduct a star because none of the tables were clean and it took a bit longer than usual to get our food at this location than at other T-flats with the same crowd level. Meh, it's average Tex-Mex. Went with a big order for the family to bring back to the hotel. They didn't pack an entire bag for us and (our bad) we didn't notice. Didn't get our chips and queso and utensils, so we had to ask the hotel for stuff. Also, found a toothpick in the middle of the kids quesidilla, luckily an adult bit it first. Saw the good reviews from others so thought we would give it a try. Wife's fish tacos were ok, but my banging chicken burrito was dry and lacked flavor. Too high priced for what u get. Even charged extra for chips.....salsa was fresh but bland. Looks like they are shooting for a Moes knockoff but fall way short. Not a good first impression from food taste. Visited on 2/23/2018 This place have a high turn over on employees, I went in 9:53pm, I understand they were about to close. The cashier had the nastiest face when me and my friend was placing our order. Made my whole experience and perception change about Tijuana Flats. I said sorry twice, the cashier didn't even acknowledge me. I will not be going back to Tijuana Flats until the retrain their employees. If the cashier had told me they were about to closed I would have left and go somewhere else. I understand it's a Friday night. I just took my food and left instead of dinning in. I am crazy about Tijuana Flats and eat here all the time. I was disappointed awhile back because I had a few bad experiences with my food at this particular location. I've come back a couple times to give it another shot and things seem to have gotten a lot better. Our food has come out much more consistent and up to the usual Tijuana Flats standard that I've come to absolutely adore. No problem, I call the restaurant to check on getting the item and they keep saying I have to go through the delivery company for a refund, they said that a few times. Ok, I got that. What a crummy TIjuana Flatts on Saturdays :-( We LOVE T.Flats (as in, we drive out of our way to find TF)... but the Clermont location is horrible--- not a good representation of the rest of the chain... Positives: ~ Employee who grabs your drink as soon as you enter the door Negatives: ~ no seasoning on the chips-- what TF is known for. They brought us a little cup of seasoning and said to dump it on. We figured "okay... at least they can see no seasoning... they'll fix it go forward..." Nope-- all entrees showed up with no seasoning, and, seasoning doesn't stick to dry chips... it was pointless to give us a cup. ~ fish tacos were burnt (the actual fish); asked fish to be re-cooked and was brought more burnt fish (I ate it b/c the other 6 in our party had already finished their food) ~ all 7 of us had hard rice mixed with soft rice... thinking the rice sat out too long ~ someone in our party ordered a 2nd taco b/c he didn't eat the nasty rice/was still hungry.... it took 25 mins for 2nd taco!! If your not familiar with Tijuana Flats, they have a good selection of modern american style mexican food. They also feature a Hot Bar with 10-15 varieties of hot sauce ranging from mild to severely painful. On Saturday's, this TF's also feature a local band from 6pm-9pm. They play in the parking lot, so on nice nights you can sit comfortably on the patio. The restaurant also has a small selection of Mexican beers including a couple on tap. Yum! It had been a while since I had visited a Tijuana Flats and this was the first time to this location. It was late on a Friday and there weren't too many people in the restaurant. The staff was friendly and the place was nice and colorful and clean. Tijuana Flats has LOTS of different specials on different nights including kids eat free night (it was Tues. or Sun.) and a beer special night (Wed. I think) and even a local heros discount night that includes teachers, firefighters, police and more. Call for all those details! Ah, the food... great stuff and the hot sauce bar is wonderful. There are 10 - 15 different choices in varying levels of heat. I love the sweet and spicy and it's good on everything. Both my daughter and a friend had the chimichangas in steak, chicken and black bean varieties and they loved them. I had the spinach and artichoke quesadillia which was like dip smeared on tortillias and was too soggy to pick up. I'll try something else next time. But I will be going back! read more

Not the nicest of their locations nor is it the biggest. The cleanest of it as well leaves you kind of that dive bar/restaurant feeling. The ashtrays outside allowing smoking is truly a sad and bad touch. The seating is limited and you had smokers to the sitting you do have outside kind of ruins it. The graffiti outside as well as the green sidewalk kind of adds to the lack of caring it seems to it. The broken lamps are a nice touch as well. If you can find a seat sit inside. Great you took drink orders while waiting but a cover and a stray would be greatly appreciated as you stand waiting to order and try to balance it while paying can be a challenge at times The food is good. Not bad..... Not bad... It's a fair to midland type eatery. Not "authentic" Mexican food, but, pretty good for Florida. The menu prices are ok if you get specials. The service is pretty much run by teenage girls and for the most part a few are really nice and the others are a bit standoffish. I have always received outstanding service at this location. The food is always good; Tuesday and Thursday are great days to go. They have Taco Tuesday and Throwback Thursday (burrito combo for $5). They have good sauces at their hot bar, though only one super-hot and it's the least tasty (plain Ghost sauce; the Red Ghost is the ultra hot one that has a good flavor). I usually go on Thursdays and get a chicken+bean burrito served wet with chioptle red sauce on it. Delicious and filling. The staff will deliver your food as well as get you refils on your drinks. We stopped here for lunch on our way through town. My brother lives in the area, and he recommended this restaurant to us. We visited around 1:30 in the afternoon on a Friday. It seemed to be a mix of family diners and professionals on their lunch hour. It wasn't too busy, and we were very pleased with the speed and quality of the food. My son has an allergy to milk, and they were very accommodating of our special ordering requests. The servings were very generous without being too much to eat. We enjoyed sampling salsas from their salsa bar, and the salsas were a great match for their fresh, warm chips. The quesadillas, flautas, chimichanga, and fajitas that we ordered were all excellent. The restrooms were clean and well-stocked. (I think that restroom quality can say a lot about how a business is being run). It's worth a stop if you are traveling through town. If you are a local, it's worth more than one stop. I only wish we had a Tijuana Flats near home so that I could get those delicious flautas whenever I want! read more
