Food was good, customer service was excellent, restaurant atmosphere was ok. They have indoor and outdoor seating areas. They is plenty of parking in the shopping plaza. We ordered the Dueling Queso as a started, one of our favorites. I had their Garlic Lime Shrimp Bowl, it was so very well seasoned and they gave you a lot of food. My husband ordered a Burrito topped with Queso and he made it a meal which added Rice and beans to it. Everything was delicious. One thing I liked was that the sauce bar has lids for any sauce you might want to pack and bring home with your leftovers and it also has small paper bags for you to pack up your leftover chips. They also gave me a top that fit my bowl which made it easy to bring home without worrying about it spilling over in the car. I gave it a 4 because the bathrooms weren't as clean as they should have been and the indoor dining area felt and looked a bit dingy maybe it was due to the lighting and outdated.

I'm satisfied with the cleanliness, atmosphere, and staff. There were a couple of hiccups (out of some chill is in the dispensers and the carefully prepared my meal... took a bit to go through.

First time visit here! Very similar to Qdoba in the fact you walk in and order but you don't get to see you food made. I missed that part. The food was very good and seasoned for the most part but the steak seemed to be under seasoned. I wanted more flavor from the steak. Really loved the hot bar where you could pick your own sauce and level of spice. The yellow queso was good but tasted like that glass jar Tostitos cheese dip. The chips for the dip had an awesome seasoning!

Tijuana Flats makes several of their menu items from scratch each day. The chips, salsa , tortillas, queso and guacamole are fresh prepared in house daily. The queso surprises me because it tastes exactly like the processed nacho cheese sold at stadiums and movie theaters everywhere. Their chicken is hormone free and they never use a microwave to cook or warm food. We ordered two beef tacos, chicken chimichanga and chips & queso . The chicken chimichanga was very good. The chicken taste fresh and was tender and juicy. Our beef tacos were seasoned nicely and the toppings were plentiful. The queso didn't taste like cheese.

Earlier this week, I arrived about five minutes before closing to find the kitchen closed. A very apologetic manager explained that they had shut the grill about 15 minutes earlier. Without prompting and in an attempt to make up for inconveniencing me, he loaded me up with free iced tea, chips, queso, salsa and a gift card to give me additional incentive to give them another chance. Tonight, I made that return trip to enjoy Taco Tuesday (two big soft or hardshell tacos with chips and a medium drink for $5.99). My companion had a steak quesadilla and a Coke. The place was a major, but both meals were delivered to our table promptly and both were delicious. Finally, while not as spicy as I would prefer, the fresh guacamole is housemade on the premises!

What's with the New policy where you cannot order anything by phone. What if you're driving? I was trying to order something while I was driving and now they said corporate change the rules and you can't order by phone. Really stupid policy Normally I love their food but this makes it very difficult for me to order and pick it up on my way home from work for my family.

While a good restaurant for a burrito and a bit of hot sauce, do not expect much more. I do like that I found a hot sauce with Carolina reaper in it, but I was left overall unimpressed. A similar restaurant in winter garden has a lot more choices in hot sauces, a larger outdoor area and even has tequila. My blackened chicken burrito for about 9 bucks was mostly flour tortilla and I ate about half without really any meat. To make matters worse, the rice was hard enough in spots to make me think I had chipped my tooth. The sauce is flavorful and the counter staff is nice, but anyone who came out of the back didn't even look me in the eye. Maybe I caught on a bad night as everyone seems to be going downtown tonight.

Laughable pieces of fish in one of my fish tacos. 1" piece, along with s pinkie sized piece.

Thank you for your portions, consistency, creamy jalapeno, and Boom-Boom Sauce. Let's get into it, this casual sit down has its roots in Austin, TX. Peruse the menu while you fight the temptation to polish off a basket of their chips and salsa and Creamy Jalapeno Sauce and, speaking of the menu, it is the same here as it is back home. My go-to's include the Big As Yo Face Burrito (bean and cheese) smothered in Boom-Boom Sauce, Guacamole Soft Tacos, the Veggie Enchiladas, and when I am feeling real big back that Chuychanga (also always smothered in Boom-Boom Sauce. Chuy's has not only a great drink menu but full bar if their options are not your speed. Side note that they do not offer draft beer, but do have a selection of bottles and cans. The cheese relleno was delicious! Nice crispy coating with plenty of cheese filling in the pepper. Enchilada was also good, but needed some additional sauce as the chicken was a bit dry. Casual ambiance on the patio, which was dog friendly, exactly what we were looking for. The only thing holding my rating back was the service unfortunately. We had to ask several times for water refills, additional sauces, and napkins before they were brought. Overall the food was great, but the service could be improved. Would like to try again sometime soon.

However, since we've had my son, we're not in the area as much so we don't come as often, but we were at icon Park today and this seemed like the perfect place to take the rest of my family. It was an absolute hit! Grandma yelled at me for holding out on her! Why haven't you brought me here before? She had the agave chipotle queso chicken enchiladas. It was our servers recommendation and they were absolutely delicious. I had the birria appetizer and it was excellent. It was an appetizer, but it was so large. We couldn't eat it all and it could definitely be a meal if you wanted it to be. The absolute best thing is the kids menu. My son loves chips and queso so much. Queso dip is one of the sides you can get with the kids meal. How amazing is that? We go to some Mexican restaurants and I spend more on queso for this child than I do on a meal for him or even myself. He had the cheese quesadilla with queso and rice as sides. After lunch, I asked him if we could come back here and he said oh yes! My son ate most of his meal, but grandma and I both ended up taking to go boxes. I feel like the prices are pretty reasonable, especially the kids meal and for the portions they give you even for the adult meals. Our server was absolutely wonderful. She brought out fresh chips and salsa almost immediately, and as soon as our chips started to run low, she immediately replaced them. As soon as we ordered, I asked if she could bring my son's queso first and she gladly obliged. It was a very hot day and she kept our drinks full. We will definitely be back.

We ordered the carnitas tacos, fresh guacamole, three house tequila shots, and a beer. While the food was okay, the portions were surprisingly small (barely any meat or avocado or rice) and didn't come close to justifying the cost. The guacamole was fresh, but overall the meal felt overpriced from start to finish. The biggest shock was the bill. We spent $67 for just one entrée, three house tequila shots, and one beer, which is hard to justify given the portion sizes and overall quality. The house tequila shots alone were $12.50 each, which felt excessive for house liquor. Service was also disappointing. Even before the restaurant became busy, everything moved slowly. To make matters worse, our server accidentally mixed up our receipt and initially charged us for another table's food. It created a lot of unnecessary confusion, and what bothered me most was that the mistake was handled rather casually. There wasn't much urgency or concern despite it being a significant billing error. The restaurant itself has a nice, modern atmosphere with comfortable booths, so I'll give credit where it's due. Unfortunately, the ambiance wasn't enough to make up for the overpriced food, small portions, slow service, and billing issues. Overall, I left feeling like I paid far more than the experience was worth. There are plenty of Mexican restaurants in Orlando that offer larger portions, better service, and much better value for the money. I won't be returning.

Whenever we're heading back…read morehome to Tampa after spending the day floating down the river in Ocala, if we're coming this way, we get excited knowing we can stop at Chuy's for some food and drinks before finishing the drive home. Yes, Chuy's is a chain, but if you're thinking typical chain-restaurant Tex-Mex, I personally think it's much better than that. I almost ALWAYS order the King's Memorial combo because for around $18, the amount of food you get is ridiculous--in the best way. You get a crispy taco, three enchiladas (cheese, beef AND chicken), Mexican rice and refried beans, plus crispy chips underneath the taco covered in that creamy queso. It hits the spot every single time, and I ALWAYS have leftovers. Little piece of advice: EAT THE TACO FIRST. Crispy tacos deserve to be enjoyed fresh and crunchy. They are not tomorrow's problem. My friend usually gets one of the burrito combos, which comes with a HUGE burrito, Mexican rice and black beans. She loves hers and usually ends up taking leftovers home too. I've also sampled enough food from other people's plates over the years to say I haven't really found anything here that I dislike. The fajitas are delicious, the margaritas are decent, and the prices are reasonable for the portions. Now let's talk about those complimentary chips and dips. We call the creamy one the "crack sauce." If you know, YOU KNOW. It comes out with the chips and salsa, and we literally have to make ourselves stop eating the chips because we want to save some of that creamy sauce for our actual meals. On our most recent visit, we sat on the bar side and had Ian taking care of us. He was friendly, respectful, quick with everything and checked in to make sure we were good. He even brought us some extra dipping sauce, which absolutely earned him bonus points with us. His name also happened to stick with me for a personal reason, so I definitely wanted to make sure he got his shout-out. The restaurant itself is super cute inside, and although we usually gravitate toward the bar side, the entire place has a fun atmosphere. Our service over multiple visits has consistently been good--20%-tip-worthy good--and the staff is usually pleasant and helpful. There are A LOT of restaurants to choose from in this area, especially if you're already over here shopping, so I know picking somewhere can get overwhelming. But if you like Tex-Mex and you've driven past Chuy's thinking, "Hmm... I wonder if that place is any good?" I definitely recommend stopping in at least once. If you hate it, I'm sorry. If you love it... you're welcome. We'll absolutely be back the next time our Silver Springs adventures bring us through Lutz!
