    El Alacran Boat
    Torrie W.

The boat has left the dock. This is such a cool idea. Flavorful choices all loaded on to a boat. The party doesn't stop at the boat, the side dishes are well complimented to this boat. Be sure to get their yellow rice and beans. We enjoyed dipping into this one. I suggest order one for two people. It's definitely enough food or you both. I'm sure extra steak or shrimp would be allowed. Tip, ask for the sauce they cooked the shrimp in. Omg, it is so good and they don't give you enough to allow the shrimp to take a dip! Yes in deed, this is a repeat on top of repeat!

Wow What a great hole in the wall in Winter garden! I've lived here for 15 years and I never once ventured in.. A must try and coming from a mexican the food is as authentic as you are gonna get in Fl.. Try the Pozele it won't disappoint!!!

I haven't had good Hispanic food in what feels like forever. I loved everything here! First off, the drinking glasses were all chilled so no matter what you drink it's ice cold. Second the salsa was two thumbs up with plenty of cilantro and onions (my fav). And to top it all off the staff was so friendly! Even my husband said he doesn't feel awful like he normally does when I drag him to eat Mexican food. Five stars all around.

Finally gave in and tried El Alacran. It is a no frills restaurant but the food was really enjoyable. We decided to go for the tacos and at a $1.99 each you can't go wrong. Well you could...technically. But, no. The corn tortillas are made onsite. We tried chorizo, carnitas, al pastor, barbacoa, and asada--all tasty. Toppings and salsa bar for you to eat your tacos how you lIke them. We also added a side of rice and beans and a flan. I could honestly skip those next time I come here. The menu was quite large and there were many options that I would be willIng to try. Our waitress was very attentive. I recommend it.

We are always looking for different places to try, so I remembered someone commented on Winter Garden community FB page. Well with all the positive reviews I read, they were right! Super yummy, staff was nice and you got a lot for money! It is not like the chain restaurants, it's very authentic! Definitely going back to try more!!

First off let me start by saying how picky I am about food! This place is the best restaurant I've ever been too! I ate 18 fresh oysters a mound of guacamole and a vat of cheesy dip! My wife ordered a tostada and loved it! If you want authentic and fresh food this is the place! We come to Orlando once a year and would never miss going here. The service is top notch. I can't say enough you gotta try it. You guys are the best and I wish you were in Michigan!! Oh yeah the portion sides are great too!

Good food except for the plastic in my refried beans.

Good food and price I would have given 5 stars except for the piece of plastic I found in my refried beans. Great service and clean.

I got the tacos Al pastor because that's always my go to when getting authentic Mexican tacos! They were phenomenal in flavor but could've definitely used a bit more spice, that's just my personal preference though. I loved that they have the salsa bar so that I can build my tacos to my liking. Everything at the taco bar was fresh and homemade. All of the employees were friendly and attentive. They brought me my tacos as soon as they were ready to my table and told me to help myself to the chips and salsa while I wait. As I was eating I noticed the employees consistently walking the dining area cleaning tables and making sure the salsa bar was clean. The best part? I only spent $7.46 after tax for two very hearty, delicious, homemade tacos that included whatever toppings I could as for as well as chips! It's very nice to add a place that I can rely on for great food that leaves me feeling full without breaking the bank. I'll definitely come back soon

The server was extremely friendly and accommodating. He made sure to get the chips and salsa out quickly to help my hangry children. We were only able to order cheese enchiladas. The manager was going back-and-forth between being in the kitchen as well as seating people at the hosting stand which led me to believe that there must've been call-ins or scheduling has just been not great. We ended up being seated, but had to wait for them to clear off a booth because they didn't wanna seat in the other section. They clearly had closed off. We ordered our food, but our server seemed really disengaged like she was just going through the motions. Food came out super quickly. I did order a sparkling sangria that was nonalcoholic and it basically just tasted like Pepsi so not exactly sure what it was supposed to taste like but it definitely didn't have any sangria flavoring. My husband got a glass of water, but sadly you could tell that they must've either just got it out of the sink or just hand wash it because you could literally taste the soap. I got an order of the tamales, which were good. They definitely are a little spicy so be aware of that if you are opposed to spice, but the serving was large and I ended up taking it home to have for lunch the next day. My husband got the Carnitas and I will say the Carnitas seem like they were more shredded then they were previously. Overall, it was an OK experience. It feels like perhaps as if management has changed because it's definitely not as friendly nor as organized as it used to be..
