The Vibe: Located in a strip mall with shared parking, the restaurant itself is actually quite cute inside, with tablecloths on each table and a full-service bar near the entrance. That said, when we first walked in, there was an unpleasant, slightly mildew-like odor, which made us question the overall cleanliness. The restaurant was about ¼ full, which felt like a decent sign for a weekday evening. Service: Service was excellent from start to finish. We were seated quickly, given chips and salsa right away, and our server was attentive and efficient throughout the meal. What We Ordered: * Enchiladas Combination (cheese, beef, and chicken with red sauce, you can choose red or green) * Puntas de Filete in Salsa Verde * Sprite & Coke First Impressions: The food came out extremely fast--under 5 minutes, which made it feel more reheated than freshly prepared. Food Quality: Unfortunately, the food lacked flavor across the board. The chips and salsa were underwhelming--the salsa was very watery with little to no spice. The enchiladas were quite dry, lacking sauce, and topped with an overwhelming amount of cheese. My husband ordered the Puntas de Filete in Salsa Verde, hoping for something similar to chile verde, but it didn't come close. The dish lacked depth of flavor and mostly tasted like beef and raw onions. He also requested medium rare, but it came out closer to well-done. We came here on a Saturday early evening , Servando's is in a shopping plaza , the parking lot was huge yet mostly empty , however plenty of cars in front of this business. Good sign Staff were kind and helpful. I ordered the chicken quesadilla. My girlfriend ordered three tacos. My quesadilla was falling apart a little bit so I had to use a fork and knife. This place was really busy for a strip mall Mexican restaurant so I had high hopes as we were being seated, but I don't think I will ever be going back. Now don't get me wrong it wasn't terrible, but there are much better Mexican places nearby. The salsa and chips were tasty. It was freshly made salsa with chunks of tomatoes and onions. The waitress was kind and attentive. The kid's menu was also super reasonable and provided large portions, but that's where the good stopped for me. First, they don't have ground beef items which I thought was odd. Maybe ground beef is not authentic? I had the chicken fajitas and it just didn't have a great flavor. Absolutely perfect Mexican place. No complaints at all. I was raised in the western US in towns dominated by Mexican families, and this felt like home, in the best way. The decor is attractive, and the restaurant is immaculately clean. Everyone there was super attentive and friendly. I got the Guadalajara Combo, plus a couple of tacos. The green chili chicken enchilada was good enough, but the star was the chili relleno. Probably the best I've had outside of Texas or New Mexico, and pretty much on par with any I've had there. Perfectly fried, the cheese inside was exquisite, and the salsa on top was super flavorful. The beef taco was also amazing. I added a chicken taco and a chorizo taco, as well. The a la cart taco menu is a greet addition to cheaply add some variety and additional food. The chorizo was ever so slightly over cooked, but that's nitpicking. My wife got the cheese enchiladas, and was emotional they were so good. We were also both absolutely stunned by how good the rice is. I can usually take or leave the rice at a Mexican place, but this rice will live in my dreams for a while. The corn tortillas appear to be hand made fresh, and were amazing, as well. I feel ridiculous with how much praise in heaping on one restaurant in one review, but I really was just blown away by how good everything was and how nice the location was. We'll be going back. Great local spot for authentic Mexican cuisine. I've been here many times before but decided to branch out from my normal and tried out their tacos. DO NOT SLEEP ON THE RIB-EYE TACOS. They are not on the listed menu, but definitely a must try. I am usually an Al Pastor kinda girl but I am so happy I took my friend's suggestion with the ribeye. There is a spicy sauce on all their tacos, so just be aware. I love spicy foods and this was pleasant, but the meat was so perfectly cooked. I highly recommend this place. It's a very small restaurant, but the food is authentic Mexican. I have never had a bad dish. I like the fajitas, the taco salad, the burritos, and their margaritas. You can even get a pitcher of margaritas if you wish. the service is impeccable and quick and kind people. The ambience is an average, Wintergarden, lunch crowd, not too loud, not too quiet. Probably the worst Mexican place I've ever been. Menu said 6.50 for a house margarita. None of the drinks were over that price. We got a frozen strawberry margarita came out to be 11.99 and it tasted like it had no tequila in it and it was just a nasty syrup. Reminded me of medicine. Told them I didn't like it and they basically said "too bad". So had to pay the full price. My burro loco was huge! But sooooo bland (and it was the same price as the yucky margarita). My husband said his chicken fajitas were probably the worst fajitas he had. I did get 1 steak taco which was the only thing I liked there. But def would not come back. Being from san diego, i feel my expectations for mexican food are likely higher than the average Floridian. That being said i found the service to be outstanding and as I sat at the bar I was equally impressed by the rotation of the service staff through the dining room and instant greeting of customers as they came in. My server Yessica was a total sweetheart, made great recommendations and she surprised me with a treat after my meal. This is a clean, efficient restaurant and the food was really impressive, especially the smoked chile salsa that came with my meal. The only thing id like to see added are handmade flour tortillas. Tucked away in the back of a shopping center, this little Mexican joint is a true local hole-in-the-wall establishment. I have had better Mexican elsewhere, and only thought the food was just ok but nothing to rave about or make a return trip to get. I will say for the price you get more than enough food though. The burrito was almost as big as my head! My fajitas came out sizzling hot with lots of chicken, onions and peppers. However, I thought it a bit weird that it wasn't served with lettuce, cheese, or salsa. All of that I had to pay extra for. So I decided not to eat it in the wrap and just eat the chicken and veggies with some of the guacamole provided. The chicken was a bit over charred for my taste, but that guacamole was amazing! I loved the chunks of avocado and tomatoes inside. I didn't quite care for the weird green sauce they use on their burritos. Would have preferred a typical red sauce. The rice and beans were ok but nothing special. Be warned, only the first salsa is complimentary. If you want refills you have to pay extra. I didn't quite like that concept since part of why I go to Mexican is because I love the unlimited chips and salsa. The salsa was also very weird. It tasted more like chunks of fresh tomatoes and needed more spices or stuff mixed in. I will say the queso fundido again made the trip worth it though. That was absolutely the best bite of the night. It comes out in a super hot cast iron skillet and is served table side. Melted cheese mixed with chorizo. The server mixes it all up then smears it into a mini tortilla and wraps it up. Holy cow it sounds so simple but was so full of flavor. I wanted more and am still dreaming of. If you want decent prices and tons of pretty good Mexican this is definitely the local place for you. read more

A truly hole in the wall type find. The restaurant is an older strip mall off of 50. It's very unassuming and is nice and wide open inside. They have a pretty extensive menu but their lunch specials are excellent. I opted for the steak fajitas and it came out to be a very affordable $8.99. Really delicious find. In Winter Garden visiting family and we went out to lunch in a group. It was a great spot for our small group which included some toddlers. Because of the toddlers, we had some special dietary considerations that they were happy to oblige. In fact, the owner came by to make sure the orders were just right. My fajitas were delicious, but the condiments only contained a small amount of guacamole. It was delicious, so I wanted a huge pile. My daughter's grilled chicken was a hit, as was the shrimp quesadilla that my niece had. The kids were thrilled with their items as well. The salsa was unique, fresh onion garlic, cilantro but a water texture. It was very tasty salsa, but not your typical consistency. 1000% wish I lived closer to here cause it's fantastic. Service was amazing and so fast. The waitress was so sweet to bring little samples to make sure my table was going to be happy with our choices (like of hot sauce etc). And once we ordered for 4 people it literally came out probably 7 minutes later. You get chips and salsas for the table and the salsa tasted great (not spicy and fresh ingredients) but was kinda hard to grab with a chip cause it was largely liquid with some big tomato chunks. There isn't a huge selection of alcohol, but the margarita is actually decent unlike some places where the mix can be gross. My tacos rancheros were suggested by the waitress and I'm so happy she did because they were soooo good-- juicy and the with the little kick of the chorizo it was perfect. The burro magnifico was the size of the whole plate that my boyfriend could only eat half! The steak inside was a bit chewy but it tasted good. The chips and salsa were below average, the salsa was very juicy which made it difficult to eat. Chips were bland. They charge for refills of the chips & salsa but I don't think that's an issue for most people, I didn't even bother eating them. I ordered chilaquiles, which were good. Server was very friendly and attentive but didn't bring us the check. We had to ask for it. Servers wear green traditional Mexican-style dresses, which is unique. The music is a mixture of your standard Mexican restaurant music with country songs (American) thrown in, which was kind of funny to me. They have Coke products but no Coke Zero.
