Tacos!
Leanne A.

If you're looking for a spot that serves up authentic, mouth-watering Mexican food, the Ocoee taco company should definitely be at the top of your list. The tacos are the star of the show for me--perfectly seasoned with meats, from juicy carne asada to smoky al pastor, all wrapped in soft, freshly made tortillas. Each bite is very favorable, and they have an array of hot sauces at each table from mild to quite spicy that give just the right kick without overwhelming the food. I do wish they had a salsa bar, but space is limited so it is understandable. In addition to the tacos, the horchata is an absolute must-try. It's refreshingly sweet with just the right balance of cinnamon, making it the perfect complement to the savory tacos, you can really tell they make it fresh in house. But don't overlook the sopes--thick, corn tortillas topped with a hearty layer of beans, meat, and a generous of sour cream and cheese. My husband also tried the burritas, which was like half quesadila and half burrito, amazing and huge, he had enough for another meal the next day! Whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout, this taco shop delivers a genuine taste of Mexican comfort food that's sure to keep you coming back for more, and the family that runs it is so sweet and welcoming!

Not for me, but might be your thing If you're into Tex-Mex, Ocoee Taco Company might be right up your alley. Personally, I lean more toward authentic Mexican, so it wasn't really my vibe. When I mentioned it was my first time, the guy (maybe the owner?) just pointed at the menu on the wall--not the warmest welcome. I grabbed a couple tacos ($2.50 each) and a burrito ($13) to sample a few things. The tacos came with cheese--which felt off for what should've been a more traditional experience--and they were on the dry side. Also, one lime wedge for all of it? Come on. They do have a decent salsa bar, though. The mild red and green were solid, the jalapeño salsa brought a nice kick, and the red hot was very spicy... but not really flavorful, at least to me. Bottom line: If you're craving Tex-Mex and don't mind paying a bit more, this spot might work. Just not my taste.

Outstanding authentic Mexican food (not TexMex) in a charming but nondescript Ocoee area that is a short drive from Plant St in Winter Garden. Their beef burrito is fresh and savory and combined with their warm quesoblanco is culinary perfection. Even their chips are delicious with tasty bits of corn which pairs great with their homemade salsa. The indoor seating area is authentic and intimate but not large enough so this is great take-out or car eating food. Enjoy this local gem!

It had been on my list to try and was finally around the area and decided to stop by. I thought for a sec that I was not going to find the restaurant among all the warehouses but sure did. The owner is friendly, attentive and more than happy to answer any questions, make suggestions or explain the menu. I ordered their cheese taco special that comes with 3 tacos (small tortilla), rice and beans. The chicken and pastor were tasty and wished the tacos had a bit more filling. Not a bad stop but a bit on the higher price for tacos around the area.

Very friendly service! This establishment has very few tables if you decide to dine in and gets quite busy during lunch. The food was good, but this is the second time we visited and maybe the prices went up? The chips and salsa I think was $10? There is ample parking out front with a few photo ops in the giant chair out front. Menu is pretty simple and is only displayed on the wall. I ordered the quesadilla with only veggies. It came with a salad. My husband had the chicken tacos and asked for no cilantro but he still got it anyway. I guess he has that 'cilantro soap' tongue.. lol.

That time of year and we got our tamales today just in time for Christmas Eve. OTC came through like usual with 4 trays of this deliciousness.

Been too long since I was here - they still rock my taste buds! Real, fresh, tasty, and REAL food! If you appreciate original methods, large flavors and casual atmosphere, this could become your next home.

Well I think I found my new place for some authentic Mexican food! When I walked in, I was greeted by the person who I'm assuming was the owner and he said "How did you find us out in the middle of nowhere?" Funny enough, if it wasn't for yelp I wouldn't have known to go here for lunch. I happened to be in the area for a doctors appointment and was starving. This place popped up on my yelp search so I decided to give it a try. And boy am I glad I did! I needed a little bit of help in deciding what to get, so he suggested the combo taco platter. I must say they were absolutely delicious! The taco size is about the palm of my hand so I'd say about 4 inch tacos? The chicken tacos were great. Everything tasted really fresh, and the taco had just the right amount of crunch to it. I will say, diner beware... The two sauces they bring to the table are extremely spicy. That... Or I'm just a wimp haha. I put a dot of each on my tongue and I was on fire. But I can never handle any kind of spice so that was to be expected. Please check out this little hidden gem in Ocoee! The price is right, and the food is as authentic as you're going to get!

A tiny building just outside of the Ocoee Downtown, this place is authentic and a great value. They prefer being paid in cash, but they take credit. They have some tasty sauces, too. The Hot Red one is almost too much -- the Green Hot one was perfect, adding a fresh pepper flavor to the Rice and Beans that came with my Green Enchilada plate. We didn't get the Chips and Salsa this time...maybe next time. Glad we stopped here - and just before the after church crowd! Word has apparently gotten out!

I had to try the Crispy BBQ Pork Belly - Slow roasted sweet & spicy pork belly glazed with house BBQ sauce over sautéed red onion with scallion & julienne pickled ginger, which was a little different than expected. It was more dry and less fatty for an appetizer like this and as unexpected as it was, I actually liked it that way. I also mananged a chicken dumpling soup that was on special. Wow! I could have made a meal out of this one. Heavy, almost like a chowder. I split the main with someone else at the table. We turned the special blackened mahi mahi and the 16oz Boneless Prime Ribeye - Tender, rich & juicy with an extremely smooth texture. Sometimes places that are a little further out of the way end up with higher ratings based on their surroundings. Here, I believe that is not the case and this is a fair rating across the board.

The menu described the cheese board as "an array of cheeses, local honey, and crackers" ($32). There was no mention of tree nuts or potential nut-containing ingredients. However, when the board arrived at our table, it included visible tree nuts and berries. This information was not disclosed on the menu, and the server did not ask whether anyone at the table had food allergies before the dish was served. Had the menu clearly stated that nuts were included, or had we been asked about allergies, we would not have ordered this item. After noticing the nuts on the board, I immediately informed the server that the menu did not disclose their presence. She then advised me not to eat the crackers because the box indicated they "contain nuts." Unfortunately, this was communicated after I had already eaten some of the crackers. At that point, the dish should have been immediately removed from the table and replaced to eliminate any risk of cross-contamination. Shortly after, I began experiencing throat irritation. I did not have my EpiPen with me, which made the situation even more frightening. Once I returned home, I had to take Benadryl as a precaution. This was our first visit, and the experience was extremely disappointing, not only from a service standpoint but more importantly from a safety standpoint. Nut allergies are not minor dietary preferences; they can cause life-threatening anaphylaxis. I have personally lost a family member to an allergic reaction caused by trace nut contamination. This is not hypothetical; it is very real. For the safety of your guests, I strongly urge you to take the following steps: Train all servers to proactively ask about food allergies before orders are placed. Update your menu to clearly disclose the presence of nuts and potential cross-contamination risks, especially for items like the cheese board and packaged crackers. These are simple but critical actions that protect your customers and your business. It would be unfortunate to see a charming establishment face serious consequences over something that can be corrected with proper disclosure and training. I sincerely hope you take this matter seriously and make the necessary changes.
