What used to be my FAVORITE restaurant has been tainted by a very bad experience not only at the new location but the older one as well. I tried calling the Ocoee location over and over but no one ever answered. My husband is in the hospital in Ocoee and I wanted to surprise him. So I called the old location for the correct number. She said "keep trying, they must be busy". It was 5:10 pm. So I did, and repeatedly got no answer. My time is very limited with him and visiting hours, so I wanted to order the food ahead and pick it up so I could get to him quickly. When I got there at 5:30, there was only two customers and the girl at the front desk said "try to call me" and the phone ring. She said "see it's working". After she took my order, I could hear the phone ringing over and over and all she was doing was messing around in the back with the other waitstaff. Yes, the phone works when you answer it! Terrible customer service on both accounts. I'm soarly disappointed. read more

Stopped in on our quest to find a good Mexican spot close to our new home. We'll be back. Food is good and inexpensive and the portions are all quite large. They have real margs-not mix though some are mix? My husband ordered a frozen house marg and they brought out a frozen lime flavored marg that was like neon green and clearly a mix...apparently they can't do a frozen house margarita? I ordered 3 tacos and made some changes to them for my dietary needs, and made no argument. They got it all right aside from they put raw onions on them after I said no onion. The food here was delicious and great quality. Our service was a bit slow but it was a busy night. However, we had to ask for an extra plate 3 times before it was actually received and it took 15 minutes for our table to get cleaned before the dessert came out. It was quite loud and hard to hear each other over the speaker. We were unfortunately sat directly under the speaker and it felt like the volume was increasing the longer we were there. Despite these small mishaps, I plan on returning as the waitress was kind, the food was spectacular, and the price was worth it! We used to be loyal to Azteca de Oro but they began increasing their prices and decreasing their quantity of food. Here at La Hacienda, you truly get a nice plate of dinner for less than $25 which is hard to find at some mexican restaurants. read more

This spot has always been around the corner from me. Haven't had the opportunity to stop in. Finally decided to give it a go and was not disappointed. Upon entering was greeted at the door, and sat down. I was simply amazed at the decor and how roomy it was inside. Large selection on the menu. Plenty of drink options as well. I really enjoyed our experience here last night for a party of 12 dinner. The inside is beautifully decorated and relaxed. The staff are attentive and helpful when I couldn't decide between certain entrées. I ordered the shrimp Diablo, which was nicely spiced with the heat buildup after each bite. The shrimp were cooked perfectly as well. My friend ordered the Hacienda salad, which is a grilled steak sliced on top of fresh salad. It was light and filling. I would definitely recommend this local spot if you're craving some delicious Mexican food. read more

This place has a lot of large tables set up and even though we are a party of two, they refuse to seat us because they would rather keep an empty table for eight than split up the table for two parties. This is the third time they have refused to seat us and they make us wait. They penalize us for not a large party. The manager acknowledges they hold the tables and apologized. Nice ambiance in the restaurant... the color scheme and decor are on point with the Mexican feel. Now, starting with the hostess; she looks bored out of her mind. Not sure why. The servers are usually pretty good; I can't really complain. The food is hit or miss. The Gorditas are terrible and the shredded chicken is very dry. The chicken fajitas are really good but they tend to burn the veggies as the skillet is extremely hot when served. So I always have to ask to take it easy on the veggies. The chimichangas are also good but I prefer them with El Pastor as it is moist and has good texture & flavor. They just got rid of their lunch specials, got a new menu, and raised their prices (late Feb 2026). Apparently, the lunch specials will be back but at a higher price... no word on which items will be on the menu... we will see. read more

I went on a Sunday evening. I didn't make a reservation, but I had no trouble finding a seat around 6:45 in the evening. I sat near the entrance, and there was a mariachi band playing. My server asked for my drink, and I took the suggested coconut margarita (13 dollars). It had the perfect coconut flavor and still was strong enough for me to dance to the music. For my entree, I took the chicken enchiladas in red sauce (15 dollars). It had 4 enchiladas with rice, pico de gayo, and beans. The chicken enchiladas had tender shredded chicken in soft corn tortillas. The red sauce had the right amount of sauce, and the cheese melted perfectly. I think there was sour cream to offset the spices. The rice and beans were delicious, and the pico de gayo was fresh. I was saying yummy every bite. For dessert, the tres leches (6 dollars) could have been a bit more moist, but still a delicious cake. The whipped cream and the milk sauce was great, and I even enjoyed the pineapple that was inside the cake. The food was plentiful that I took leftovers home for lunch the next day. The service was excellent. My server gave great advice of the drink and sauces to use for my enchiladas. She checked up with me to see how I enjoyed the food. The owner's son also came to check up on me. The atmosphere was very casual, and had ample amount of dining tables and even outdoor seating as well. There is bar seating as well. I will say that they gave my dessert for free, but as honest Yelper, I paid the cost of the dessert in the tip. Parking was in a strip and pretty easy to find on Sunday. I must say this restaurant will give Agave Azul a run for their money. In the occoe/West oaks mall area, this is a wonderful value. The food and drinks were amazing, service was excellent, and the atmosphere was fun with the mariachi band. Unfortunately, I did come when the band was about to finish and leave, but later found out of it was offered Friday from 7 to 9, and Sunday from 5 to 7. I will indeed come back to enjoy that time to enjoy the band and the fabulous food! read more

Had dinner here while in Ocoee. We were greeted and seated right away. It was getting busy. Very friendly and quick service! We ordered the Berria tacos, chicken fajitas and steak Mexicana. I stopped at this restaurant on my way home (to Fort Lauderdale) from a trip to Texas. I plugged in my electric car to charge and there was something about La hacienta that enticed me to go inside. I got the feeling right away that there was a family-like atmosphere amongst the employees and being a customer was almost like being invited into a friend's home for dinner. We ordered a whole friend fish and ordered some dips for the chips and everything was excellent. The fish was very fresh and didn't have any kind of aftertaste whatsoever. I remember the bill was a lot lower than I expected given the excellent quality and service Here is the most surprising part of the whole experience: I left my credit card behind at the restaurant and they offered to mail it back to me. Sadly, in this day and age it's not too often that you find honest people who do the right thing and take care of people the way I was taken care of. I logged into my credit card company and not a single charge was run after I lost my card, so I never had to go through the trouble of replacing it. So that might have been the biggest surprise of my whole experience...I had my credit card mailed back to me at their time and expense and no one tried to use my card for nefarious purposes. I wish I lived closer because I would definitely be a regular customer. Very disappointed for a place rated that high. Not the friendliest staff, no greeting when you entered. Took a very long time to take your order. Even longer time to receive your food, way too long. Then when it arrives they deliver it to the wrong table? The food has zero flavor, dried chicken horrible, bland. We needed an additional side plate and they gave it to us when we were done eating. Stopped by this last week. Ordered two chicken street tacos and a coke to go. They threw in a bag of chips and cup of picante. It was $12 and some change. I would have given them a 5 if they used a little oil on the tortilla and two taco shells per taco which is traditional rather than only one. I also thought charging almost $4 for a "street taco" was a bit much. I was there on Taco Tuesday but apparently street tacos weren't available for $2 each. Why? All tacos on Tuesday should be $2! You get customers in the door and you make up for it when they order something else. I will come back the food was very good. read more

It was my first time here and the food was fantastic it was some of the best Mexican food that I have had I got the tacos and rice and beans. So tasty with lots of flavor. I also got the elote sooooo tasty. It was clean and very lively and was busy but the service was terrible. I was very disappointed. We were seated right away but our waitress practically ignored my table. Even though the food was amazing my mom's food came out first and then she basically finished hers when mine came out. That was the only disappointing part. I really hope the service improves because I will definitely be going back! read more

What a nice restaurant close to home and 50! The service was top notch! Our server was very attentive but giving us space and time to enjoy our food. The margaritas were only $5 can you believe it! They were also delicious! I wanted to eat almost everything on the menu but I got full. My food did come out cold but other than that, it had some great flavors! My favorite was the Elote. My family of 5 came in for dinner tonight. For reference, it is a Saturday night at approximately 5:30 pm. We were greeted immediately and sat without delay. While the food was delicious and plentiful, the thing that stood out the most was our waitress, Leslie. Leslie came and greeted us immediately and had a huge smile on her face. We had questions that she didn't know the answers to but within a minute or two she was back with the answers. Throughout our meal, she was attentive, wonderful attitude and bubbly. I know that we will definitely be back and this is a great addition to Ocoee. If you visit, ask for Leslie as your server. You won't regret it!! read more

We came into this establishment as a Party of 5. And we were sat in a round booth around lunch time this past Sunday the 16th ... It was a slow lunch service, the restaurant was not busy at all but it took a long time to be waited on nonetheless. Once the food arrived the fajitas were hot , the tacos were subpar with microwaved sticky tortillas and they were not like the tortillas being given out with the fajitas that had a different texture, taste and even smell. We all ate our food and immediately after driving away one member in our group started to feel sick . We could hear their stomach churning ... and they got sick immediately fighting explosions in the bathroom and battling the urge to throw up . It only got worse when 4 out of the 5 dining that day got EXTREMELY ill to our stomachs. Massive pain, Constantly running to the the rest room and even vomiting in the end . Pretty disappointed and not sure why today as our fourth time going here the food made us all deathly ill . Truly disappointed in this experience. A waste of money . RUN away if you can . The Chile Rellano was the perfect blend of smoky pepper, melted cheese, and a smooth, and delightful red sauce. I'm not fond of red sauce..but this recipe changes that sentiment. I ordered a light on alcohol Paloma and it was so refreshing. We ordered the grilled corn appetizer..ate that along with the free chips and delicious salsa. The servers are always checking in and the food came out incredibly fast. The decor is cozy and the atmosphere is festive. I heard there is a mariachi band on some nights. I enjoyed my experience.
