Right away I could tell this is not your "typical taco"!!! With names like "Trailor Trash", "The Hogfather", "Republican "... this place definitely hits the spot on originality!! For $10.50 I got a "trailor trash " taco, order of Chips and Queso and a drink! They have Street corn, loaded tater tots and for the small appetite they do half orders for about $3.25-3.50... absolutely perfect for myself ! 22$ for 2 drinks , 2 tacos, 2 sides (street corn and loaded tots) and chips and queso! Can't beat that! We will be back!

Guacamole with chips. Very good. Fresh and a little spicy.

Torchy's Tacos 07-15-24 The restaurant was clean. We had no wait for lunch. The employees were friendly and helpful. We started off with an appetizer of Guacamole & Chips. It was flavorful and fresh. It was a little spicy but not too spicy. We had two Street Tacos - 1 Fried Avocado on a Corn Tortilla and a Baja Shrimp on a Corn Tortilla. 2 Beef Fajita and 1 Chicken Fajita on Flour Tortilla. 1 Beef Fajita Grande Burrito. Service was quick. All the food tasted fresh and served hot. Except for the Guacamole which was cold. We will be back.

Cold matador

Why are all the Torchy's in north Texas so crappy :/ another disappointing Torchys trip and tried this different location. Tacos were just thrown together messy and cold. My matador was a cold sloppy messy and not even made correctly. My Baja shrimp ones were COVERED in the sauce like soaked which was gross. Like come on yall take some extra time to do things the right way. Save your money find a place who does tacos the right way for a cheaper price

Trying something new!

My first visit had a few bumps BUT I can tell that there's so much potential for this place to be great. The service was nice and the recommendations were good ones. There was a hiccup with the to-go margarita. The bartender was missing for a bit so we sat with the food waiting for him to come back and make the drink. But nonetheless it was good when we got it. The chips and queso by far was my favorite! I ordered the brush fire and trailer park tacos. The brush fire taco was had some good flavor and a really nice amount of spice. The only down side was that the chicken was not fully cooked so I had to finish cooking the chicken before enjoying the taco. Overall, I enjoyed Torchy's and would give them another try.

La Fondita Denton - Golden Tacos are in the best!!! Authentic Mexican food

Wonderful locally/family owned restaurant. It's one of my favorite restaurants in the area.read more

If I could give La Fondita Mexican Restaurant six stars, I would legally change the rating system…read morejust to make it happen. Let me set the scene: I walked in expecting a casual meal and maybe a decent taco. What I got instead was a borderline spiritual awakening wrapped in foil and served with rice and beans. First of all -- the giant piña colada. When they say giant, they are not messing around. This thing arrived like it had its own gravitational pull. I'm pretty sure I saw a small family of tourists orbiting it. One sip and I was transported to a beach that doesn't even exist on any map -- coconutty, icy perfection with just enough kick to make me briefly consider texting my boss that I've moved to an island and won't be returning. Then came the beans. Listen carefully: I don't throw this word around lightly -- perfect. These beans were so good I genuinely paused mid-bite and just stared into the middle distance reevaluating my entire life. Creamy, rich, seasoned like someone's abuela whispered ancient secrets into the pot. I would trust these beans with my taxes, my passwords, and honestly my emotional well-being. And the corn tortillas... dear lord, the corn tortillas. I have had tortillas in many places, including at my own abuela's table -- and saying this feels like confessing a sin -- but these might be the best I've ever had besides abuela's. Warm, soft, slightly charred in all the right places, like they were handmade by someone who has been perfecting this craft since before I was born and possibly before electricity was invented. If I could build a house out of these tortillas, I would. I would live there. Happily. And then--just when I thought things couldn't escalate further--the huevos rancheros arrived. Eggs cooked to that perfect sweet spot where the yolk still has a little rebellion left in it, laid over a bed of everything that matters, all tied together with a sauce that refuses to be anything less than unforgettable. It's the kind of breakfast that makes you question why you ever settle for anything less in life. Comforting, bold, and somehow both rustic and wildly impressive at the same time. Everything else on the plate? Outstanding. Rice that actually deserves to be eaten and not just politely ignored. Salsa that sneaks up on you like, "oh this is nice--OH okay there it is." Service? Friendly, fast, and somehow emotionally supportive. Atmosphere? The kind of place where you immediately feel like a regular even if it's your first time. Final verdict: If you are anywhere within a 50-mile radius of Denton and you are not eating at La Fondita Mexican Restaurant, you are making a series of deeply questionable life choices. I came in hungry. I left changed.
