I found myself in Gainesville... not a place I typically go on a daily basis. I needed to grab a bite, I needed to do it quickly, and fast food was just not going to work for me... Driving around I passed this place 2x times before finally giving up and saying to myself... "ugh... ok let's try it". Glad I did. They welcomed me in as if I was a regular there, someone that they see all the time. Not special in the slightest but also not a stranger in the least bit. It was comforting... homely... nice. The nice waitress provided me a menu, asked if I wanted a drink and brought over a basket of chips and salsa, both fresh and delicious. Found my way to the enchiladas and crossed my fingers. Within a few chips and minutes my plate arrived. Decently portioned and hot. Initial thoughts were "man, I'm hungry" and "that came quick!". It did not disappoint. Have I had better? You bet I have... was this good? Well... I finished it without complaint. Decent food, clean and welcoming, good price and a place anyone would be proud to say "I go to Mi Casa for Mexican food". Try'em... you may just be surprised.

So glad we did. This was a delightful Mexican restaurant. Loved the guacamole made tableside to our specifications as well as our entrées. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp stuffed with cheese. Highly recommend it alongside my dish was also beans and rice. My husband did the sour cream, chicken enchiladas, and cleaned his plate. Fresh tortilla chips and a delightfully yummy salsa. Staff was attentive and efficient. The restaurant itself was decorated in a lovely contemporary mode and was clean. There is also outdoor patio dining available. Looking forward to visiting this location every time we come to the Eagles Canyon Raceway.

We will dine in at the restaurant and possibly use a different company if we need delivery. We have always had good food and service in this restaurant. The atmosphere is great. Quick service and the margaritas are fantastic. On the other hand the DoorDash people they used last Saturday 6/11/26 delivered our food. Fajitas for 4 due to the fact we had company and were too busy to get it ourselves. $104 dollars worth. I met the driver at the gate and he got out of his car and dropped it. We were able to save the rice and beans but the meat which is the main part of the fajitas for 4 was in the gravel. The driver said not my problem. Then the driver tried to leave without picking any of the trash up. This review is about DoorDash. We called several times since then and they said they would refund us but never have. This place has a lot of potential for a Tex-Mexican restaurant and looking forward to them to continue to grow and keep the business going in their town! We ordered the following: The chips and chile con queso/salsa as a starter. $5.75 They asked if I wanted yellow or white cheese. I opted for the yellow, it was basically canned cheese. I asked for pickled jalapeños to add extra flavor because it did not have any chile from what I could tell. Waste of money for this choice Another starter I asked for was the elote $3.25 Mexican Style Street Corn with mayo, butter, lime, cotjia cheese, crema mexicana, hot cheeto dust, and spicey sauce on the side. In all honesty i do not believe all of the ingrediants were included. There was no hot cheeto dust that's for sure but either way this was so good and happy with the appetizer. My main meal was the Tortilla Soup - Bowl $5.75 Our Traditional Mexican Soup with Shredded Chicken, Avocado Slices, Pico de Gallo, Monterey Jack Cheese and Crispy Tortilla Strips. I absolutely loved this soup, very favorable and filled with chicken. My partner chose the following: Chicken Al Pastor Tacos $13.50 The seasoning seemed a little off but the chicken had a nice grill to it overall. He opted for both corn and flour tortillas, both good. The rice and pico were made just right however, the ranchero beans were burnt and lacked bacon for that extra flavoring. My cocktail of choice was the Mangonada de Patron $8.95 You could really taste the freshness of the Mango they used for this, very well made, loved it. The tarmindo candy was greatly appreciated as my dessert to go!
