I found myself in Gainesville... not a place I typically go on a daily basis. I needed to grab a bite, I needed to do it quickly, and fast food was just not going to work for me... Driving around I passed this place 2x times before finally giving up and saying to myself... "ugh... ok let's try it". Glad I did. They welcomed me in as if I was a regular there, someone that they see all the time. Not special in the slightest but also not a stranger in the least bit. It was comforting... homely... nice. The nice waitress provided me a menu, asked if I wanted a drink and brought over a basket of chips and salsa, both fresh and delicious. Found my way to the enchiladas and crossed my fingers. Within a few chips and minutes my plate arrived. Decently portioned and hot. Initial thoughts were "man, I'm hungry" and "that came quick!". It did not disappoint. Have I had better? You bet I have... was this good? Well... I finished it without complaint. Decent food, clean and welcoming, good price and a place anyone would be proud to say "I go to Mi Casa for Mexican food". Quick service and the margaritas are fantastic. On the other hand the DoorDash people they used last Saturday 6/11/26 delivered our food. Fajitas for 4 due to the fact we had company and were too busy to get it ourselves. $104 dollars worth. I met the driver at the gate and he got out of his car and dropped it. We were able to save the rice and beans but the meat which is the main part of the fajitas for 4 was in the gravel. The driver said not my problem. Then the driver tried to leave without picking any of the trash up. This review is about DoorDash. We called several times since then and they said they would refund us but never have. Be Leary of which company you use to deliver your food. I understand that the restaurant did their job preparing it but the DoorDash people are responsible for safe and accurate delivery.

However, when he brought it back, it tasted exactly the same as the first drink, with the only noticeable difference being more ice. When he checked on me again, I explained that it tasted the same and asked if I could please get the completely new drink I asked for originally. He then brought me a new drink, which was what I had originally asked for. However, when the bill came, I was shocked to see that I had been charged for the original $18 margarita, which I had barely tasted and did not drink. When I asked for the charge to be removed, the staff argued with me, insisting that I had ordered two drinks. That was absolutely not the case. I had asked for a different drink, but the server chose to remake the original one instead. After going back and forth, they refused to remove the charge and offered only a $2 discount on an $18 drink that I didn't even want or drink. The way this situation was handled was incredibly frustrating. Mistakes happen, and I understand that, but the way a restaurant handles a problem says a lot about its customer service. Instead of trying to make things right, the staff was argumentative and rude. Unfortunately, the poor customer service left a much worse impression than the drink itself. I expected much better and left feeling disappointed with the entire experience.

Highly recommend it alongside my dish was also beans and rice. My husband did the sour cream, chicken enchiladas, and cleaned his plate. Fresh tortilla chips and a delightfully yummy salsa. Staff was attentive and efficient. The restaurant itself was decorated in a lovely contemporary mode and was clean. There is also outdoor patio dining available. Looking forward to visiting this location every time we come to the Eagles Canyon Raceway.
