But get this...take your basic street taco tortilla and cover it in cheese on the griddle so that it now has a crispy cheese crust coating the tortilla and doubling its size! Now add all of the usual taco stuff and top it with the only guac I've ever had that actually improves the dish. That's Lala Style! Their tomatillo sauce has great flavor with little heat. The red sauce was super bright flavor and good heat. There was birria with great jus (dipping sauce? Gravy?). The Al pastor was great and had bits of fresh pineapple which is a great change of pace from the more typical grilled-with-the-meat pineapple. Taco Tuesday is $2 streets while I'll be back for 1/2 price Lala Style on Thursday. Other specials on other days, but I'm locked in on the tacos. I asked if this was a chain or the only Lala's...sadly, for now, it's the only one but worth any drive and I hope they rapidly expand soon! If you like tacos, try these.
