Pupusa Pizza

Food was very delicious and service was great. I got the Birria tacos which were perfect. Husband got a torta which he loved and children shared the pupusa pizza which being from LA and having gone to several Central American restaurants had never seen before. It was delicious! We plan to go back!

I first heard about this spot from a BBQ server in Lewisville (food people know food, so I trust…read more'em). It's a bit of a trek from where we live, but worth the journey--plus, fun fact: they're building DFW's second Bojangles in the same strip mall. (Exciting times, people.) We hit up lunch, which seemed like a great deal. I had a fajita craving, so mixed chicken and steak it was, while hubby, a true Tex-Mex traditionalist, went for a chile relleno. But let's pause for a moment--why is finding real-deal Tex-Mex in DFW such a struggle? (I have questions.) Our waiter, Able, was warm, welcoming, and on it with drinks and a glorious chip trio featuring: A warm black bean dip (our fave) A fresh green salsa A smoky red salsa And then... my fajitas arrived, SIZZLING like they were trying to set off the fire alarm. Huge portion, served with all the fixings--rice, beans, tortillas (not house-made, but miles better than grocery store versions), sour cream, pico, lettuce, and cheese. I barely made a dent in 1/3 of it. Leftovers = tomorrow's best meal, confirmed. Can't wait to return and tackle their $7.99 enchilada plate on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Marking my calendar now. Bathrooms were clean. I would say the booths need to be recovered as some were duck-taped, and they were a little low for this shortie!

Both were delicious. Curtido was a little too mild for my taste but complimented the pupusa and salsa well. Reasonably priced and filling, I brought home leftovers. Everyone else enjoyed their plates well enough. Good Music was playing. Bathrooms were clean. If in the area again, I would stop in.

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere stands out. There's a beautiful display of traditional dress in one of the windows, and as you head toward the restrooms, you'll notice pictures and names of different cities lining the walls--it adds such a unique and cultural touch. The restaurant itself is clean, spacious, and very family-oriented. Even the restrooms were spotless, which always says a lot. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. And the food? So good I completely forgot to take a picture! I ordered the carne con papas plate with rice and beans, paired with a refreshing pineapple agua fresca--everything was flavorful and satisfying. If you're looking for delicious food, a welcoming environment, and a place that truly feels like home, this spot is definitely worth checking out. I'll be back!

The jalapeño surprised me but it was very fun. We were greeted immediately and our server was so sweet. The salvi horchata tasted like my Abuela's and it was so delicious and refreshing complement for the bites of the flavorful harmony of pickled veggies, salsa and pupusa. The pupusas were a wonderful texture and the filling to tortilla ratio was excellent. Super cute decor and warm, friendly service made my heart warm. Go here! Please support local businesses like these you won't regret it. This was truly a wonderful experience. They have to go and dine in. Great pricing.
