Got there at 7:00 pm, not busy! Slow to take drink order, even slower to fill drink order. Had to ask to have my tea refilled three times before the waiter did it. Food took way too long to come out. Food 3 on a scale of 10. The check took longer to get than the tea. They add a credit card fee so if you pay with cash make sure they take it off the ticket. Bottom line got out of there two and a half hours later. Never ever again. Save your time and money and go absolutely anywhere else! read more

My husband and I had been on the fence about trying out this restaurant for about a year. We rolled the dice last night and decided to try it out...we should have stayed home. The food was okay nothing to write home about, we make better steak at home than what we were served. The chips were old and had that yucky old oil taste to them. But the icing on the cake was the black mold on the wall in our booth. Mind you we were not in a booth against a structural wall, were were in the middle of the restaurant. Do not recommend, will not be going back and I hope the health department does an inspection soon so no one gets sick from black mold. read more

The owner/head chef approached our table and informed me he had all the ingredients and I could take them home to make my own soup. It was very bizarre and disappointing. Place is huge for being downtown Denison Texas. Very interesting ambience. They have a bar as well with lots of deer and various other animals on the walls. The food is fantastic. We live in Dallas but recently bought a little place out here for weekends and we had resigned ourselves to waiting to get back home to have great Mexican but not any more! Where to start? The chips and salsa are top notch and the guacamole might be the best we've ever had in a restaurant. The fajitas were also the best I've had in ages and the other dishes we've tried - seafood enchiladas with grilled shrimp and a stuffed relleno and Chicken Cancun - were mouth-watering as well. And the finishing touch - this place actually knows how to make a great frozen margarita!!! If you're in Denison don't miss this place. Food is great, service is horrible. We waited over 20 minutes to have our server to finally come to take the order for our drinks, then waited another 10 minutes for him to bring us water.
