My first impression of the place is awesome. The place is well and interestingly decorated. The servers were very friendly even though most were freezing because the heat was not turned on even though temps outside were freezing. I found it pretty hard to even enjoy the awesome interior because it was freezing inside. This is the main reason fir the three stars. My second impression is why it takes almost twenty min for tacos. The excuse was being backed up but there was no-one else in the place. This place has potential & I think we all know who they are serving; I ordered the beef bean burrito. Beans taste like they came out of a can. Tortilla can be cooked rather than microwaved. First time to ever go here I thought the prices were a little pricey. The young lady who took my order was very friendly very nice and very attendant helped me decide which taco would be best. It did take a while for us to get our tacos. My wife got the chicken fajitas which that was a little bland. I got the Jamaican tacos. They were really good and just had enough heat to them. The atmosphere is very inviting the floors were a little slippery. My wife was afraid she was gonna fall, but other than that we like the looks. The only reason it didn't get five stars I went to the restroom before I left, and there was an employee in there, brushing his teeth and grooming himself. When I got through using the restroom I wanted to wash my hands he was rude. I asked him excuse me I need to wash my hands. There's a sign upon entry to order at bar, sat down at bar .. OMG it's filthy (I'm grossed out). A few other guests came in and did the same, no COvid social distancing in place (should I bolt or just hang in there for it to get better). The staff was unhelpful and I was ignored for 10 minutes while waiting for someone to even ask me about my to go order, in an EMPTY LINE. When I finally got the chance to ask an employee at the bar, she was very hostile and seemed annoyed at the thought of helping me. Torchy's needs to update their ETA time if i'm just going to have to end up driving just to wait even longer. I understand its not the staff's fault for it being so busy. This is my "go to" spot for tacos! Tipsy Chick and Trailer Park are my fav's! The queso is great also. I always get mine without the Diablo sauce because it is too spicy for me. So happy to have Torchy's in Conroe!!!! Just opened this week, and we headed there Saturday. Not a peak lunch time probably (after 1:30p) so the line was not crazy out the door or anything. The wait was about 5 minutes to get to front to order. The tacos are great. I've been a semi-regular for over 5 years. Had to start in Houston. Then a couple of years ago they made their way to The Woodlands. Now here in quaint Conroe. I've been eating the Brushfire almost exclusively that whole time. I decided to try different ones this time. I had a brushfire, a TOTM (Taco of the Month) Tokyo Drifter, and a Crossroads. Very good, all of them! If you've never been to Torchy's, you order at the counter and pay there. Get your drink cups and head to the drink counter. They usually have Maine Root sodas, but this location has Coca-Cola as it's headliner. There's a full bar also, which is where you order/pick-up to go orders. Seating is always an issue, so my wife had to scope out a table, but did with almost no issues. We will be back here often. You should too! read more

I'm obsessed with the brush fire sauce it's the best hot sauce in the world. Their margaritas are made with fresh lime juice and they are super boozey in a good way. Their guacamole is huge for the price! You couldn't even make it at home for that price. We can't go by a torchy's without my husband salivating. He always has the migas. But one thing we noticed, if you order to eat in it's huge and he can only eat one. If it's to go they are much smaller that he can eat about three. I usually go for the Baja shrimp or/and the fried avocado. Both are delicious! Their guacamole needs more salt and tomatoes and lime but not bad. They use too much cilantro in some things. I thinks it comes on most of their food. Last time we went it was still a little hectic because they just opened the 25% and the patio. We asked for some forks and sure they would get them. Never did. They were slow to clean up the few tables that were open and I did not see anyone sterilizing anything. All in all it one of our favorite places to eat a taco. I visit this location every 2-3 weeks I noticed while the front counter staff where you order is quick and knocks down long lines however the kitchen always seems behind I usually visit around lunch time and when we've asked staff what's up or how much longer for food we don't get much of an answer.
