Had an amazing breakfast! If you're not careful you'll drive right by and you don't want to miss this place. Everything is hot, fresh, and delicious. Time from ordering to eat was very quick. I seldom write reviews and almost never write negative ones but I was very disappointed in the food served June 5th. We had never eaten here before and thought we would try it out. We ordered beef fajitas and a Chile releno. The tortilla chips were stale, the salsa was bland, the fajitas were overcooked and tough, the releno pepper had too much batter and was tasteless. Even the refried beans were bland. We left half our food as there was nothing I wanted to take home for leftovers. Very disappointed - my first time will be my last time. read more

In a way it's a little gem - good fresh authentic Mexican food but the negatives - their menu is a mess - new prices pasted over original menu pricing. I ordered a dish that apparently had not had the price raised only to be charged a higher price and told I was in the wrong when I questioned the pricing. Went there Saturday morning and had huevos rancheros and they were very good. The red sauce they put on them has nice heat! If you don't like heat you might want to just put the hot sauce on them. Wife had the Red Chilaquiles and she said the flavor was amazing. It's the same red sauce they put on the huevos rancheros but you can have them with green sauce. She will go that route next time. I always get cheese enchiladas when I go to mexican restaurant because it's nostalgic for me and these were the best ones I'd ever had! They charged me $3.50 to sprinkle cheese on my tacos... tacos (5) cost $9.47 after tax, which yielded $12.97. Literally no logic in that surcharge price. It is not like I added an extra MEAT to my tacos. I substituted the lettuce and tomato for just cheese only to find out they charged me $3.50 for it after I complained and questioned their cost. Cheese typically comes on tacos, which does occur for every other taco on their menu. However, when you get the 5 specialty tacos it does not. Then they charge an obscene amount just to add cheese, which I'm sure is less than adding a side of rice or beans. read more

Don't go by how this little place looks from the outside. Inside, they are serving great Tex-Mex breakfasts in a clean, colorful space. We had Huevos Rancheros. Two fried eggs with excellent refried beans and crispy hash browns. It come with a very flavorful, medium hot, red sauce. They also have a green sauce you should ask for because it too, is so good. Along with it came 3 hot, fresh, handmade corn tortillas which were as good as I have ever had (and I have had lots). Coffee was good and my wife got Champurrado, a special hot chocolate made at Christmas time. Service was nice and friendly. We were in the mood for a good Mexican breakfast, so we tried El Tapatio for the first time. Pity for us taking so long to try this place. All of the favorites-- huevos rancheros, migas, chilequiles -- and everything from the sauces to the tortillas is homemade. Great service and even better value. They open at 6:00AM, so even early birds can check it out. This is our new go-to breakfast spot. Now we just need to get back for lunch and dinner. read more
