One of our go to places. Service is good, clean, food is fantastic! They always get us in even when they're busy.

A little spot that I could see myself hitting up regularly because quick service and lots of space so seating would be easy even if busy. The salsa and queso were good. My husband enjoyed the fajitas. I got the appetizer sampler. The quesadillas though didn't seem to have much flavor even with the chicken. The biggest disappointment was the bill. We ordered the kids meal quesadilla for our son and the waiter asked if we wanted meat, we said yes, chicken. When we got the bill it was over $12, but the price on the menu was $7. I know we added meat, but five dollars? I wish he would have told us because he could have eaten on my plate. And his four little pieces of quesadilla didn't even come with rice and beans. If you change anything on the menu, just be sure to ask what the cost is. read more

Early Thursday night dinner with a group of people. Plenty of parking and lots of seating inside, as well as an outdoor patio. Service was excellent, especially considering we were seated with a large group. Food came out pretty quickly after ordering. Chips and salsa- salsa is on the sweeter side. Chips are ok, not salty or very warm and nothing to rave about. Margarita- sweet but couldn't tell there was any alcohol. Charro beans- pretty good. Lots of bacon chunks and very porky flavor. This was included with the flautas. Flauta dinner- I got chicken on corn. Pretty crunchy and a good serving size. Chicken is a little dry. Not particularly flavorful but it comes with a green dipping sauce which was much needed and very refreshing. I think this would actually make a great dip for the chips. Rice was Ok, has some peppers in it that add flavor. Overall, food is just ok but service was great. Menu is extensive so you can probably find something for everyone. read more

Always a stop we make when we are near Conroe! My husband eats until he is sick! He loves their chips and salsa!! Good queso & guac!! My son loves the flameado because it is authentic!! We were just wanting to try as many Mexican food places as possible and had passed by Margaritas it always seemed to be pretty busy. I'm glad we stopped by. Margaritas is a large festive restaurant and I thought a very good one. The service was attentive and excellent. I had fajitas they were well prepared actually pink in the middle not over cooked. That was a first for me. I thought wow perfect Fajitas! My wife enjoyed the Queso and the Chili Relleno. We had the Churros for dessert they were amazing with the honey and cinnamon sugar. We could tell Margarita's has been in Conroe for some time and is a splendid place to eat and have a great time. It's easy to forget about the older places this is a restaurant Conroe can be proud of. read more

This place was great a few years ago but OKG it's gone wayyyy downhill! If you want the worst non-original Tex Mex food overpriced come here. Food was crap and the tomato sauce that was supposed to be hot sauce tasted like it came out of a can or jar. There are extremely better authentic Mexican restaurants in the area. Listen- I like Mexican food, but to try different restaurants from my normal tex- mex eatery, I am not very confident in doing so! Since this was my first visit, I ordered the happy hour margaritas ( YES, I had 2.. Don't you judge me!!.) I then ordered the appetizer sampler( quesadillas, taquitos, and nachos.) - clearly they can't mess up appetizers right? NOW THE ASSESSMENT: Drinks were sneaky little devils that creeped up on me- as I was almost tempted to send drunken texts! (so glad I didn't give in-*this could have been bad) I digress. The food looked good, with a pinch of salt- it was filling, and okay. Service was great, so great that the restaurant was closed - and they still allowed us to eat, sit, and laugh! Conroe Texas is my former hometown of over 30 years. Besides my family and friends who I miss dearly, I miss Margarita's just as much. I have many great childhood memories of Conroe, and a lot of them have Margarita's in them. In high school, lots of good meals and memories with buds were shared here, and anyone who was anyone was here on a Friday night. Every time I come home, I make it a point to eat here. In my 30 plus years of eating here, I cannot give you one particular instance where the food or service has been bad. The food has always been great, the service exceptional, and the smiles I have had here are priceless. Margarita's is a cornerstone of Conroe, and has no indication of going away anytime soon. My favorites are the cheese enchiladas, the fajitas, and everything else on the menu. I highly recommend Margarita's, and I guarantee you will love anything you eat here. Enjoy! read more

Really good restaurant in Conroe. I got the tostadas with fajita. They were very tasty and very fresh. They were very packed and we still got out food out in time. I will definitely come back when I am in the area. I should have gotten the fajitas. I saw some sizzling Fajitas come out and they looked amazing. Lots of parking. They fill up fast. So get here early if you have an hour for lunch. They are very fast though. Chips and salsa were really good. Waiter was very attentive and nice. My meal was excellent. I will definitely go back and try a few things off the menu. Prices are great. You can eat for about 10.00 or less at lunch time. I don't think they allow smoking so that's definitely a good thing. I cannot stand that some spots in Conroe allow smoking. read more

I have been coming here for years -my first date with my husband was here-but I had never posted a review. I love the food here. The enchiladas are my favorite but beef Fajitas plates are great. Both the refried beans and the bean soup (or borracho or ala chaara beans) are authentic and flavorful. I could make a meal of the frijoles ala charra alone. In some restaurants, the beans & rice are plate fillers and not worth eating. At Margaritas, Everything is delicious and worth the calories. The salsa, chips, pinto beans, nachos, enchiladas and fajitas are wonderful. The service is great. They keep the fresh tortilla chip bowel filled. The salsa is delicious not hot. Was having, and still am having, serious cravings for good Mexican food, or I suppose Tex-Mex? I really need to have someone explain that "food concept" to me in full detail. Ordered the stuffed Chili Relleno - a large poblano pepper stuffed with cheese and topped with "Spanish sauce" and monterey jack cheese accompanied by rice, beans, and guacamole. It was also supposed to have tortillas but those never made it to my table. To be honest the fact my food made it to the table was a sheer miracle. SO here lies my sad experience the food took near an hour to reach the table, and our server was rather MIA that whole time. The person in charge of chips and salsa for all was spot on, so spot on I think I could have just eaten those and gotten up and left satisfied, ha. By the time my meal did finally arrive I was borderline full, but what little of the food I did dive into was not noteworthy. Whatever the "Spanish sauce" is (suppose I should have asked given such a non specific name) was a no go in my book, the food overall was bland, rice was dry al dente style, and beans had a smoky flavor.
