Apparently don't know what is in their food. I've been asking if they use monosodium glutamate (MSG) and they don't respond. So apparently they use it in their food to increase the shelf life. Likely in their soups & fajita spices. read more

I went here for the first time. It's a small local place that has some pretty decent food. My first red flag was that they don't serve draft beer and I am a big draft beer fan, especially with Mexican food. The salsa is hot and I prefer a chilled salsa myself. The food was mediocre for me, the chicken fajitas were a little dry and it doesn't come with sour cream or cheese. I would prolly try this place again, but I would stick to enchiladas and tacos. read more

This is my family's go-to place for Tex Mex in the area. My Dad and Stepmom are locals here and the staff are always so good to them! Not only are they friendly, warm and super attentive, but they always bring my Dad his favorite margarita right away when he walks in haha! Now that's service! They've got plenty of parking and are off a Main Street so are easy to find. They're doing great on the Covid safety measures...everyone wears a mask unless eating, they're spacing out their seating at the tables etc. We felt very safe and it was very clean. We ordered the queso dip to start...it was great! I got the beef chimichanga, my Dad got the Teresa special (chicken with spinach and mushrooms) and my Stepmom got the fish tacos which had huge chunks of grilled fish in them and looked incredible! Love the food. Fajitas were great. They have my favorite salsa in all the Mexican restaurants I've gone to. Service great. However. If they refill your drink you get charged for another drink every time. And it's $3.50 per drink. And they charge $2.50 for shredded cheese. I tasted my husband's enchilada and it was good and definitely better than my tacos. The taco shells were delicious but the beef was under seasoned and honestly tasted over cooked. The one thing that would make this place 5 stars.... Get rid of the literal 6 page, humongous menu. It's really off putting and you don't need to offer so many choices. Get it down to 1-2 pages and just focus on perfecting a handful of authentic items and cocktails. Then this place would easily be a 5. Restaurant is a mix of authentic Mexicana dishes and Tex-Mex. the menu has many items which can make selecting a meal a lengthy process. We started with large margaritas and chili con queso with chips and side of jalapeños. The margaritas were good and reasonably priced at $8.95. The queso was delicious and chips crispy. For dinner, we ordered steak fajitas, deluxe dinner, and enchilada dinner. Portions were large and all dishes were tasty. However, the tortillas were a bit dry and chewy. Some of the food is pretty good, some just ok. Ambience looks nice, often very loud, especially our "last" visit with servers apparently just off duty shouting loudly carrying on "conversation" with the bartender and one table. Sometimes kids playing on phones or tablets with the sound turned up louder than the background music. Not as crazy as Texas Roadhouse, but seem to be trying to be. But my friends the fajitas were completely and totally unseasoned and flavorless. I mean no salt, pepper, marinade, nothing. Los Pericos is one of my go to when I need my fix. I love their cheese enchiladas. The sauce they put on them is very good. A light gravy style. The rice abd refried beans are always spot on. My husband usually gets either the chicken with mushrooms and white cheese or the tacos with beef fajita meat. Always spot on except for the salsa. It is never consistent. Waiter tried to rip me off. My bill arrived with 2 different sides. The left side had correct charges totaling $10.82. The right section (the side I was to sign was $61.08. Had I not noticed and signed I would have been charged the greater amount. Rafael was responsible for this so watch out for Rafael and check your Ticket. Another waiter as well as the manager told me that this was a common mistake - really. Again, double check your credit card statements at this place and watch out if you submit your credit card to Rafael. No concern or comps offered by manager only a weak apology.
