Visited Top Golf Canton on Easter Sunday! The weather was perfect, but even if it wasn't the heaters keep it pretty warm! We reserved 2 bays and they were ready on time. I will say they run pretty punctual and reserving a bay is easy online. Our server Julie was great! Super friendly and attentive! Food was consistent with other Top Golfs. There isn't a huge variety but the bar essentials hit the spot. This is a smaller than average TG and also doesn't have actual holes - rather they are painted on. For me it doesn't matter since we go for fun and I'm a terrible golfer I barely make the holes anyway! But - it's a know before you go if this changes your mind on going! The location is super convenient. I'd still be back when we're meeting people in the area, but I personally prefer the Cranston location! read more

We had a very amazing first experience at TopGolf Canton. We joined the waitlist through the app, received a confirmation to come and when we walked in, the staff told us we had to wait two hours. The employee politely said there was nothing he could do since I was a walk in, and also on the wait list. When I asked why the website and the app state "walk-in's always welcome" he confirmed for me that waitlists are just that and subject to other customers leaving. Not only was staff helpful and well trained to handle situations like this, but the policies at this location seem clear and with such a busy successful establishment, we are grateful they accept walk ins. Our first impression of this place was extremely positive and fortunately next time, I'll be sure to make an appointment for a time slot available. read more

Top Golf is a really fun activity and as someone who is not a golfer, I really enjoy the different games that they have. It's a little pricey, but fairly reasonable if you're in a big group. The service was fantastic and everyone is very friendly! My biggest complaint was the food - I ordered a veggie burger and it was super dry. The bun was really dry too, and the food came cold. My friends ordered sangria and didn't think there was any wine in it. read more

If your a golfer this is pretty much just an expensive range, it is fun for big groups and beginners but if you have been to a range before don't get to excited. If you're going with friends who you want to introduce to the game or you are a beginner yourself I would recommend trying out TopGolf. Not trying to sound like a snobby golfer, but personally for the price point it's not worth it. I made the mistake of not bringing my clubs and was a bit disappointed by the ones that were provided. Nonetheless, I had a fun time with my friends hitting balls and enjoying some food and drinks. They have heaters for the winter that do a pretty solid job of keeping you warm. I just think for what it could have been... TopGolf let me down. It pains me to leave a 3 star review but I have to be honest, otherwise my reviews are worthless. read more

The waiter was in a hurry because our time was up, we couldn't finish our food, our plates were removed even though we had food, we wanted to continue ordering drinks but it wasn't possible, apparently the waiter's mission is to make the customer leave in the best possible time, regardless of whether you want to continue ordering drinks, meals, appetizers, I would recommend to my friends to only go to play GOLF and not to consume drinks or food, because they are not going to give you the time to have a pleasant moment. The experience of playing golf is very good, the place is very nice, the facilities are excellent, you have many spaces for you to use some games they have. read more

FYI: The bays ending in 30 (e.g., 130 or 230 or 330) are at the very end. Personally, I didnt like being at the end closest to the net. There were other bays open, but the manager didnt seem willing to let us move bays. read more

I went here opening weekend and and it was evident that they were working through some difficulties. The golf component was all great and well integrated with the technology. The food and drinks were tasty, but the difficult part was the service. When we ordered food we had to wait over 45 minutes for it to come out. Our drinks were also quite slow as well. Two people in my party ordered non-alcoholic beverages but were charged for alcoholic beverages on the tab. Not sure what drink they were actually given. Overall, the golf was super fun but the food and drink service has room for improvement. read more

Visited the Canton location. Reserved two bays. They were ready on time. Nice. Tried to register the players. System didn't recognize anyone. Bay Attendant didn't seem to know what to do. They charge per player on top of bay rental and $35 fee to have bay side by side. Been here four times and the system doesn't recognize junior players on return visits. Bay Attendant has to correct the bill on the back end (if you remember to remind them). So now it's 10+ minutes into your paid time and nobody has hit a ball. Not fun. It was also the first real cold day and the heaters did not keep up. It was freezing. We let the front desk know (Bay Attendant not around) and they said the heaters cycle off after 30 minutes and they came over and reset the heat. Good to know, I guess? Drinks come out slowly and inconsistently. Different taste each round. Food is mid. No app plates or napkins. It's a corporate money grab experience. Not as fun as it should be. The Bay Attendants seemed spread too thin. Much like Burger King, seems like a good idea until you're there. read more

Got a two bay reservation, awesome setup. We had 4 in each bay which was the perfect pace. 6 per bay is a lot of wait time. We got the upper deck. Sadly tv was not working, could not watch the Red Sox or the Olympics. Sofa was beat up and the guts were showing. We had a nice water pitcher behind us with plenty of water and no cups. The clubs were a little too sticky and despite the commitment to clean between groups, it can be tough in between groups. The assigned attendant was great. Knew his stuff and a decent pace of checking in with us. Sadly the drinks were not strong enough and felt watered down. Food was okay but the portions were small and we didn't get any utensils. So stick to ordering snacks, finger foods and you'll be okay. The various combinations of games were fun and good selection between beginner games to scratch professionals. First and last visit to Canton. Place is mostly empty this cold Sunday morning. The customers and employees would all be more comfortable if Zach, the manager, would allow use of the warmer, more enclosed bays. We would order a few cocktails, leave a nice tip and return but for Zach. We were too cold and had to leave after less than an hour. Since a number of people have reached out thanking me for this review--thank you's I did not anticipate perhaps since I have never before felt compelled to leave a review here before--I will add a bit of context. I did not go to TopGolf to play. I went to watch my family play and hopefully have a good time. I was bundled up for the cold like Zach, the manager, but my family members who wanted to golf were dressed in what you would expect for cold weather golf. The young ladies who were serving were all nice and all freezing and totally deferential to their manager, Zach, who is depicted in one of the photos I posted. I tried to explain to Zach that everyone would be better off if we used the bays that were enclosed by glass on three sides. Zach's response was, "That's not the way the world works" before walking away and refusing to return. I will add that the server was nice and even chased after me to return my iPad which I left on the table in my haste to get out of the place. She was well tipped notwithstanding her manager's incompetence but we would have ordered more and tipped more had we not been forced (by the cold) to leave after about an hour. Zach (and whoever made him a manager) cost everyone that day and I will never return so there's that too. I let my friend--who told me about TopGolf in the first place and whose employer apparently has some sort of membership with it--know. And he said he has had similar experiences. Specifically, that the place could be good but that that the way management treats customers is its downfall. For me, treatment of customers in a service industry should be a priority and no matter how many times the PR person responds to negative reviews, I will never go back. My advice to anyone contemplating patronizing TopGolf is to take their money elsewhere. read more

Went to Top Golf and added my name to the waitlist via the app on ride in. The app said there was no waitlist. Upon arrival, we were told it would be about 20 minutes, but after checking in twice and waiting over an hour, I got a text saying I was removed from the list. Right as I was about to leave, we finally got a bay after about 90 minutes. Never got an apology or real explanation for the delay. Looked like there was a lot of open bays, but I know things get tricky with reservations. Gameplay and service were fine, but our pizza took 30 minutes to come out, leaving us with just 20 minutes to eat. It still tasted good. My first visit to topgolf I was pretty excited. Brand new and opened up four days ago in Canton I arrived at 11:00 in the morning only to find out that there was a 2-hour wait to play golf I was advised to make an online reservation in the future even though the website invited walk-ins. Looking through I found even though the entire first floor of bays was completely empty of patrons, probably 50-60 unused spots, this was disheartening, when I inquired if they were fully staffed they said they were.(the manager was extremely kurt at my question)... I find it odd to be fully staffed and only at 2/3 availability?. Next I went to a table and ordered food buffalo chicken dip and a grilled chicken sandwich. The waitress was nice and accommodating but my food took 50 mins to arrive. The items were good, priced reasonable, but the wait was unacceptable. As I sat waiting to eat on the second level I noticed that at every load bearing beam there was a crack in the concrete floor - a bit disconcerting for a week old facility. First time I came here, service was awful. Cheese fries took over an hour. 4 shots not chilled took over half an hour.. and sometimes if it's busy I get it.. but it was like 930pm -12am. And each level has its own bar.. second time I came in, ordered wings and it was raw.. server took away my plate but left the rest of the wings.. like no thank u.. I'm all set. And the last time I came in, the server was just rude, we had to ask three times for kids golf clubs .. three times over 30 mins. And the worst part? The third time I asked, she goes oh im leaving now, you have a new bay host now ask her. The new bay host was very nice and made our experience better. I just feel like more training needs to be going on here with customer service. read more

I had been to TopGolf in other states with mixed results and had low expectations for Canton, but it was great. The place is set up for corporate outings and groups. If you're solo and looking to hit some balls this might not be the best place unless you've got money to burn and like to be surrounded by a lively vibe. The food ranged from delicious (I loved the carrot hummus) to just OK (the pizza) and some of it was unexpected. Their nachos are more like bean empanadas with cheese on top - they were tasty, just not what we expected. Service was good. The only bummer is that it's not right next to the train station, so one can't get too boozy. Also, there's a learning curve and if you're unfamiliar with the various games and how they work, read up ahead of time so you don't waste the first 30 minutes determining how to proceed. If there are men and women make all the targets equal points for an equitable and fun game. And if you want to get truly random try "Angry Birds" golf which is equal parts luck and skill. read more

Our first time at Top Golf and it was underwhelming. Before we were able to access the bay, we visited the bar inside. We stood at the bar waiting for a bartender to take our order for 15 mins. A couple of times they told us they would be right over but eventually our bay was open so we left without getting drinks. Service at the bay from our waiter was good. They were attentive and friendly. Unfortunately our sodas and beers were flat. Not sure if this was an issue with the taps or the soda guns but the waiter was able to bring over new drinks pretty quickly. The food was okay and took forever to come out. From ordering to arrival it was over an hour wait time. Everything seemed to be extra salty. We also had issues where the machine ran out of balls so we had to wait about 15 mins for them to refill the machine. The manager took $20 off the game play amount as a refund for the inconvenience. All this to say, it was not that great of an experience. It was about $50 a person (there was 6 of us) including game play and food/drinks. If you're a golfer it is definitely a good spot but it was not worth all of the hype for us. read more

This was one first time going to top golf and it lived up to my expectations. Place is very clean and so advanced. There are tons of game to play and is also a great place for everybody to enjoy. The seating area made me feel at home. The food did take a while but was very cheap and some of it was delicious. Mac and cheese bites were out of this world. Buffalo chicken dip was big but didn't blow me away. Chicken fingers looked amazing but left an unpleasant aftertaste. The staff was super nice but did take several minutes to bring drinks out after being told several times. I did not hit balls there, I just went for lunch on a weekday. At first glance, the facility is impressive. However, the place is disorganized and chaotic, even during a time of day when it wasn't busy. The food was not good and the service was really slow. It seems as though there are a lot of employees walking around, but not doing anything productive. Maybe there is a lack of direction from management, or maybe the employees are just lazy. Generally bad customer service and lack of basic functionality in the mobile app. As a platinum elite member there are extremely limited available reservations while opening the web shows every hour available to still book for non members. Showed up 45 minutes early to a reservation and asked to join the wait list - basically refused and told to go hang out at the bar and wait. Open the app to join the wait list - it won't allow with a reservation that day. Want to book a 9am and a 8pm same day or change your reservation? Can't. Food is average, they don't have enough help, when we got to our bay, we requested help, it was our first time there, so we wanted someone to walk us through the process, no one came, walked back down to the front desk, they told me to look for a guy with a red jacket, 15 minutes went by before we even started playing, When we finished playing, we stopped to have a bite to eat, waiting 10 minutes to go to the bar and ask if we order food there, he said someone will be coming, then waited 45 minutes for food. The staff was very pleasant, management , need to reviewed the process on the wait list for golf, they give you a range, ask questions, because you could wait 2 hr , believe me it's not worth the wait read more

I was there last night for my daughter's 24th birthday celebration. Unfortunately I will not recommend this venue for a birthday celebration or large groups for the following reasons: 1. One lane (out of two) would not allow us to start play until we tracked down someone to assist. This resulted in a significant amount of playtime loss. 2. Service was delayed horribly and the wait time was much less than favorable. 3. The birthday girl ordered chicken sliders. First came a chicken sandwich that was not ordered. Resulting in tracking down our server after a decent amount of time, whom assured us she put in the sliders, to get the correct ones to us as we were hungry. Then a food delivery came for tenders that we sent back. After tracking down or server again she said she could not put in any food since our time had ended (not even anything to go or any consideration that it was out of our control). 4. The 25% discount code was never working and help was not available. Because the bill was paid before I could view it, I am uncertain if we were over charged. We were rushed out immediately. 5 this was my second time at Topgolf, first time was great in a group of three (RI location). It was my first time visiting Top Golf and had the best time. The weather was a it cold, but the heat lamps were perfect for keeping us warm during our time there. I enjoyed trying out the different games and staff were super friendly. I also have a new appreciation for golfers! It's such a skill to be able to golf and have a good technique and form. He was really rude with regard to what we needed to say. The tone and words were no manner to be speaking to costumers. Couldn't wait for the Burlingame location to open, the staff and management were not prepared. Service was terrible. The poor servers didn't know what to do. We were told that there was only 1 bartender on a very busy Thursday night. Also told that they ran out of some food and all red wine. We had 5 different servers. Only one followed up with us, Alex. Location: Dedham Massachusetts Visit Feb. 18 Overall: extremely poor customer service and misleading/confusing message confirming waitlist. I put my name on the waitlist and received verification that my bay will be available between 12:20-1:20. Around 10:48 I received a text message that my bay will be ready in 15 mins and reply accordingly. Because our waiting list time said 12:20-1:20 we were still getting ready I was trying to be considerate and respond NO we would have a 30 minute extension. The message even said to be ready in 30 minutes or less. So we rushed to get to the location in 30 minutes only to arrive to extremely poor customer service where the lady said since I replied NO we were put back on the waitlist. I showed her the text message and she said very rudely yeah will that is the rules and nothing can be changed. I asked if this message could be altered so that your customer are not mislead and in this case since we were trying to meet the 30 minute extension could have definitely been a safety issue. Can you or someone please explain the waitlist policy and also speak to the manager at the Dedham location to improve customer service. The standard should always be high customer service that were clearly not meet in addition to the very poor and confusing messages regarding the waitlist.
