My husband and I have been saying for some time that we wanted to have dinner at Granite Links, and last night we finally went. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by a gentleman who had clearly been over‑served. He was unsteady on his feet, nearly knocked over my husband's drink, and even harassed another couple. I honestly don't know how he got home. I hope a ride share was called for him, because if he had driven and harmed someone, Granite Links could have faced serious liability. Situations like this are exactly why bartenders must be more responsible and attentive to the condition of the patrons they serve. I don't blame the man himself fully. I blame Granite Links. The waiter also bears responsibility. Servers can observe when guests are becoming unstable or intoxicated, even when drinks are being delivered to tables rather than ordered at the bar. read more

What a nice venue to host events like galas, weddings, proms and so on. It was my first time here and it was stunning in the inside and the view from the ballrooms deck was awesome. Especially if its during sunset and its a clear night. This ballroom/ golf course/ club is located on top of a big hill and so you can deff tell its on a hill. The drinks were good from the bar at the ballroom and the food that I had was fine. Nothing special but my friends enjoyed the shrimp/poke station. The outdoor area in the front was nice too. My family & I came here for Mother's Day brunch. We got French toast for the table, the fives, lobster roll, lobster benedict, and the shrimp and scallop pasta. The french toast was incredible but definitely more of a dessert. The lobster roll was like lobster salad but super tasty and the 1/2 pound was a hefty portion. My sister raved about the lobster benedict and said the hollandaise sauce was one of her favorites. My mother loved the pasta dish and said the seafood was cooked beautifully and the sauce was great! I had heard amazing things about the mudslides and had to stop at The Crossing Nines outdoor bar before we left and WOW WOW they are incredible, basically a boozy milkshake. read more

This has been favorite for our family for many years. Unfortunately, my experience last night was less than good. The service was terrible, table of six waited forever for drinks, never came back to see if we needed anything, bread came out 40 mins after we arrived. Our dinner took almost an hour to come out of the kitchen. The steak tips were tough and not edible, folks that ordered steak said the same. rice was cold and everyone that had the rice said it had an awful taste, Asparagus was not only undercooked, but pretty sure it was just boiled and thrown on the plate. The menu is tired and needs an overhaul. Atmosphere is still beautiful, but sadly we won't be going back. read more

In honor of Boston Native Author, Writer, Producer Dennis Lehane at a Lecture, Meet and Greet, along with a Book Signing of his published 14 Novels. This anticipated event brought the hundreds of area fans to hear and learn of his journey from his First Novel, "A Drink Before the War", published in 1994. Which began a series of crime novels. He quickly became New York Times Best-Selling Author with novels such as Gone, Baby, Gone in 1998, Mystic River in 2001 His Most Famous Novel), Shutter Island in 2003, The Given Day in 2008, Small Mercies in 2023 plus many more. Dennis Lehane has had his Novels adapted to Major Films. Besides his Book writing he has written for Netflix, HBO, plus Apple TV. He is also in development of his next Series for Apple TV along with adapting three of Author Stephen Kings Novels. With Dennis Lehane's organizational brilliance his passion is felt in his works! With him seated on stage along with Moderator Rob "Hardy" Poole, from 98.5 Sports Hub , begins his Introduction of Author Lehane by giving the audience abit of back story of his life in Boston, talking about he was raised in Dorchester, his Education and his entrance as a published Author. Along with the Awards Dennis Lehane has received. He turns the interview over to Dennis Lehane who quickly enlightened his guests all fixated on every word and stories, plus facts and he told all of us that he "Loved the Quarries", which reminded him of a story he heard about, "A young gentleman diving in the Quincy Quarries to be impaled by a car antenna thru his eye"! You could hear the gasps coming from the guests. He did mention he wasn't sure if it was true or not but it definitely made his stories abit more interesting to hear! He recalled as a youth that living in Dorchester, " That all the girls were heavily Catholic.....so he came to Quincy"! A bit of levity made the audience laugh! You could tell he was very comfortable speaking honestly and how he enjoys to write about his characters as "just people" and characters in "extreme situations". He cares about the journey his characters takes plus he premised that his next Novel might have "A Tiger Mom and let her loose against the Irish Mob in Boston". Dennis Lehane spoke about his time with his "Favorite Actor", Ray Liotta with abit of levity. Toward the end of the lecture he mentioned to a very happy room full of guests that, "Small Mercies soon to be shot here". He spent 50 years here in Boston before moving to Los Angeles with his wife. After, he took questions from the audience and after a huge line was formed for his one on one book signing! The room was electric with joy. A gracious and grateful Guest of Honor, Dennis Lehane, truly gave his adoring fans a night to remember! A heartfelt "THANK YOU", to our Mayor Koch, and all Quincy Staff that made this Event Possible and Memorable! Granite Links gave this event the best Service and Attention and the food and beverages were well displayed and tasty and the bartenders were very attentive! I'd put it at more of a 3.5 stars rating which is still pretty good in my book. We came here for brunch with a group of 8 on a busy weekend. The food was fine - what you would expect as standard brunch fare. I got the steak omelette which was huge and filling. The waffle was pretty standard but they were generous with the berries. My mocktail was tasty but the blueberry one that my wife got was way too sweet and syrupy. The views of the city and golf course was nice. You'll definitely be paying higher prices as expected with dining at a clubhouse but the portions are large. Anyways it was a fine experience and my rating is meant to reflect that it met my expectations going in. read more

We had a wonderful afternoon lunch at the Tavern at Granite Links! Open to the public with a beautiful view of the Boston skyline, I highly recommend a meal at the Tavern. We started with a round of cranberry margaritas. I'm not sure if this is a seasonal winter drink or on the menu year round, but it's definitely something I'll be recreating at home. Not too sweet and not too bitter, it really hits the spot! For our appetizers, we ordered Grandma's meatballs, arancini, and the shrimp cocktail. The dishes came out piping hot and were the perfect amount for the 5 of us. Chef Paul even came out to check on us and shared that the meatballs were his own grandma's recipe! For my entree, I ordered the wilted spinach salad. The star of the dish was the cashew dressing that has a spicy kick to it. What a way to amp up a salad! If you're not afraid of flavor, this is the salad for you. My husband ordered the prime rib sandwich, which was warm and hearty, perfect for the cold winter day. Our server Meghan was so friendly and attentive. She ensured we had everything we needed and was prompt with both our wine and water. From the room set up to the refreshments and the treatment of our 150+ guests, the service and quality were top notch! These managers are detail oriented, friendly and ever so accommodating of needs. The formality of the day was softened by the incredible atmosphere of the Ballroom and the attentiveness of the staff. I could not give them a higher rating. I've been here on 3 separate occasions: my rehearsal dinner, for my colleague's wedding, and for lunch/driving range. Honestly, this place has amazing food and really friendly staff. Oh and it's really darn pretty! For my rehearsal dinner, I had a more casual cocktail buffet style dinner located in the side room next to the Tavern. We had different stations: taco, southern station, tenderloin, salad, pasta, and ice cream. We probably had way too many stations but it was so delicious. For my colleague's wedding, the cocktail hour was in the tent. There was charcuterie, cocktail shrimp, lamb chops, and other items. The servers made their rounds frequently. The drinks were great too! The ballroom was nice and had a patio that overlooks the skyline. The food again was great. Then I came here for the driving range and stopped at the tavern for lunch. I got the haddock and my husband got the Nashville pizza. BOMB! I usually don't rave this hard about a place but I've had wonderful experiences here. Will definitely be back. read more

Really fun driving range, 20 minutes from downtown Boston! In addition to the driving range, there is a putting green and an 18-hole golf course. The grounds are very well kept, and you can see the beautiful Boston skyline in the background. Bucket of balls is $16. There is a bar in the middle of all the lanes; however, one downside is there was only 1 bartender and the bar was PACKED (slowwwww service). There is also a restaurant on site (indoor and outdoor seating), with pretty decent food and drinks. Didn't rent clubs (brought our own) so no comment on that. read more

We got a pitcher of the strawberry lemonade drink I wanna say and it's pretty strong and doesn't taste too sweet! The range is first come first serve we had to wait maybe 15 mins for a spot but grabbed a drink and just watched people hit! They're open til about 10 on the weekdays and have lights that come on when it gets dark! We haven't tried the food but a bucket of balls is only $15! What a steal! Our party of five had various light lunch selections. I recall having the turkey sandwich which was just ok not really memorable. My brother had the fish sandwich and said it was good. Other party members in the group said their lunch was good. All very impressed with the the ambiance and the view just stunning! The views are amazing! It's spotless and elegant. The new additions to the summer menu include delicious lobster sliders and a lobster roll. Lightly seasoned with a touch of mayo and crunchy celery, this is really Boston on a plate. Generous portions of sweet claw meat make this a perfect choice off their refined and thoughtful menu. Let me be clear - this review is for the driving range ONLY, though I'm not surprised the overall rating of this place is only 3.5. Don't get me wrong, The course is gorgeous and the tavern and Crossing 9s have spectacular views, but the driving range is way overpriced and nothing to write home about. A bucket of balls is $16 and that's all you get. No shelter over the bays, no auto-loading Ts, and it's always cold and windy up there. At McGolf in Dedham, for $1 LESS than what you pay at Granite Links, you get access to a special section of covered bays with auto-loading Ts, and complimentary access to the Toptracker system. GL charges like $40 for Toptracker access. I honestly don't know why anyone would go to GL, other than to "be seen" paying for overpriced golf balls and drinks. Save your money and go to McGolf. read more

Love the view! My boyfriend and I scheduled a semiprivate golf lesson here. The instructor was late because he thought we were meeting half an hour later. He didn't apologize when we met up so that was a little rude. We rode up to the top of the course where it was more quiet. He was very patient and attentively observed our swings. After a few pointers, we were confident with our swings. The venue is beautiful. The view of Boston from atop makes you wonder how beautiful it must be during the Fourth of July. There are driving ranges, chipping and putting fields, bar next to the driving ranges, restaurant, and a golf shop on site. The crowd seems like a younger one so it was packed with energy. A thing I disliked about this place was how windy it was. Due to its higher elevation, the wind gets annoying but the whole atmosphere and vibe makes up for it. read more

We celebrated Thanksgiving in a wonderful beautiful and delicious place yesterday. Granite Links Ballroom it was absolutely amazing and it was a buffet so we could eat everything, but drinks weren't included. It all started with butternut squash soup, clam chowder, and salad. The salad was a baby spinach with apples, cranberries. Maybe finely chopped walnuts and a homemade dressing, which I can't describe. The soup was so rich and tasty I drank it right out of the cup, I went back for seconds. The bread was homemade fortachi bread and corn bread. Both were very good served with a small ball of butter, you served yourself and it was such a beautiful display of appetizers. Next was tea and coffees a few different blends. Almond milk, cream and regular milk, for the tea and coffee. The dessert table was attached, and a little overwhelming for me not a big sugar person. Cookies with sprinkles, cake every flavor, tarimasu, pumpkin-cake , and Chocolate Cake with chocolate chips on top. Cannolis pumpkin filled, cream filled and chocolate covered. A beautiful room with windows as far as the eye could see. Right in the middle of the room was a crystal chandelier so sparkling it looked as though it should be in a castle. Right in the middle of the floor was the different side dishes. Roasted String beans drizzled with thinnest almonds I've ever seen, tortalini with roast summer squash and apargus. Lobster stuffed sole roasted just perfect with a creamy sauce over it. A brioche stuffing with cranberries and fresh herbs and apples. Yukon mashed potatoes with drawn butter and chives, so creamy and whipped to perfection. Roasted Fingerlings potatoes with roasted garlic and rosemary with olive oil drizzle. Now on to the craving table dark meat with legs perfectly roasted skin and not a bit dry. The craver was precise with just as you wanted it white meat thick or thinly sliced meat right as you got there nothing already sliced. Such a great meal. $57 per adult and children $27 I think not sure. We were all adult I would definitely go to another event at the Ball Room it is breathtaking. Granite Links should be voted Best In New England ! First of all the staff was so helpful and pleasant and a joy to work with you can tell the genuinely want to work here. People make a difference! The facility's is a Grand Place from the Rotunda as you walk in to the Pristine Event Rooms with vaulted ceilings and not anything out of place and plenty of professional staff ! The food was fantastic there really is a Chef in the kitchen and a Culinary Staff , The Salmon perfectly cooked and the beef and chicken superb , please look at the pictures and you will see what I mean about the facility! Getting a teatime can be a little tough. However it's understandable once you actually play the course. I originally played it back in 2022 and flew out from the west coast again just recently.
