Was searching for a bagel shop, which was permanently closed when I stumbled upon top that donuts. Desperate for coffee I entered and realized they also had breakfast sandwiches. I ordered two of the sandwiches which both came on a large fluffy New Jersey type roll and was filled with eggs and cheese and is it pork roll or Taylor ham? I'm not sure. Donuts are good but ... worst vibes ever from the blonde seemed to be manager girl. Condescending comments to her employee as the 15-16 yr old girl was working diligently (and carefully) to make donut orders. Always the best with the cake donut. My children had the sprinkles and cookies and cream donuts. They were a little iffy about their choices. I did not physically attend this location, but I was able to try 2 of their donuts that were being served at a private party. They have a number of varieties to choose from with a few specials along the way. I had the French Toast & the Springsteen. Both donuts were on the smaller side I would say. The French toast had cinnamon sugar with a maple drizzle along with powdered sugar present. The maple drizzle was the highlight here as it was not too over powerful but provided enough flavor to make it taste like "French Toast." The Springsteen was a plain glaze with red, white, and blue sprinkles. I initially assumed this would be plain, but that was not the case at all. This was my preferred donut of the two I tried. Peanut Butter Lovin - chocolate icing, pb drizzle and peanut toppings. My girlfriend said it was good, not great, nothing very memorable. Going to Top That is always a great experience. The staff are always super friendly and the donuts are absolutely to die for. With many different options to go with you can't go wrong having a little bit of everything. The maple bacon donut, on the other hand, is a MUST. Delicious donuts made to order! The girl behind the counter was really sweet and quick to take and make my order of 4 donuts. I got the French toast, aunt Betty, Springsteen, and lemon drop. I was not impressed at all with my first experience with this location. I called ahead and ordered one dozen. The staff over the phone was very helpful and pleasant. When I walked in I immediately noticed that there were gnats or some type of small flying insects flying on the inside of the donut display case at the register. I figured..hey whatever no biggie. Donuts, the final food group. Wait, that's not how that one goes... Down the shore for the weekend with friends, I really don't want to have bagels for breakfast. I love donuts (check my reviews, I got the street cred) and go out of my way to find the best. Doco was a little far from where we were staying so that was off the list, but after struggling with the yelp app I found Top That! nearby. I love donuts so much that I woke up early on a Saturday. While on vacation. Top That! did not disappoint. Their (small) parking lot was a boon; parking in Point Pleasant Beach can be a chore. The staff was friendly and they were not busy so I could take my time making my selections. When I mis-ordered (more than once...I struggle with so many options) my lovely cashier quickly and accurately changed my order. You can watch your donuts getting made in the DONUT ROBOT MARK II and then topped by hand. Fresh donuts are a different from pre-prepared. They're lighter, more flavorful, and more satisfying (it's science). All twelve got the thumbs up, but my favorite was the Nite Cap - the tart cranberry chutney cut through the sweeter, heavier flavors. The snickers wasn't bad, but even though it had all the right components they don't really taste like a snickers, more like a reese's cup. read more
