I got the caramel macchiato iced and it did not disappoint !! Very delicious and we also got a pork roll egg and cheese on a roll which was also pretty good and I'm not a huge fan of pork roll either ! I've been searching for a new brand of expresso beans for my machine and you best beeline I bought a pound to bring home ! Little pricey for a pound but the flavor was definitely delicious! Was in the area and wanted a coffee shop. The place is cute and clean when you walk in. Ordered one specialty fall menu item and just an a latte with a flavor. They use the classic coffee syrups which I don't love because they taste so artificial. Also thought they had some food got a bagel which was good. If I was in the area, I might stop by. I'm slightly addicted to the blueberry crumb bars, they are ginormous and taste homemade, a thick layer of fruit and a buttery silky crumb base make for a delicious combo. I always make sure to grab one when in the area! Also tried the iced coffee and vanilla chai, so aromatic and delicious. Bacon egg and cheese comes loaded on a bagel, no skimping on the quality or slices of bacon. The prices are really fair too! I saw a small hot cocoa on the menu for $1.85 and can't remember the last time I stepped into a coffee shop and saw a price less than $3 for anything on the menu. I used to go to Devi tree all the time, but I've stopped. The coffee at Rook is much richer and more flavorful. Plus I've had lids on cups fall off several times scolding me, and when I told the kids at the counter, I just got blank stairs. Finally, I used to love their scones and always considered Divi tree as a somewhat healthy option. But the last couple of years, they've been adding Chocolate to almost every combination that they make, making them un edible. They might want to consider having one version with chocolate one version without because there are many people that don't eat chocolate for breakfast!! read more

I came in on Wednesday around one in the afternoon.They promote themselves as a healthy/green establishment, which I assumed meant that they made their syrups; they don't.. I ordered a large matcha and their cold brew--both were specialties. I also ordered a BLT, egg and cheese on an everything bagel, and protein balls. The wait time took 10-15 minutes, which was a decent amount of time. The matcha was disgusting and did not taste like matcha at all. It looked almost like a green juice: the colors weren't right, nor was the taste. The cold brew tasted okay. It was a bit too sweet, but it did have cold foam on it. The food was also not the best; the BLT was good but was a bit dry, and the egg and cheese bagel was very little (compared to other establishments I've gone to in the shore). My total ended up being $38. The staff were friendly, and the floors looked dirty. Overall, I would not come back. There are plenty of other restaurants that are much better in terms of pricing and food quality. read more

Honestly, I am not in NJ often. But the last few times I've come back... the nearest place for a latte that is local is Divi Tree and I have tried multiple times to like their coffee... I always aim to support local business any time I have the option to. But this last time was the last time. So I am here visiting NJ and decide to give it another go. I really wanted to be impressed this time so that I didn't have to drive further for a decent drink. I ordered a Nitro Cold Brew... At first, I was impressed they even had it - not many coffee shops do. That went away quickly when I was handed a cup with ice in it. I received it, walked away and pondered the very concept of nitro cold brew. I try to avoid asking for a remake when I can ... but this just felt wrong. It actually made me question my understanding of coffee and perhaps even life. I found myself looking on the web for alternative options for nitro cold brews... each resource I looked up stated that the nitrogen is used for that smoother finish and that any ice would damage the foamy top. I paused again and thought to myself, "do I say something? Perhaps I was given the wrong coffee?" I mustered up some courage and approaches the counter. I ask the woman if the beverage that was handed to me was correct? I said, "I don't think Nitro Cold Brew is supposed to have ice in it." "That's how it comes. You'd have to ask for it without ice" I thought to myself, "??????" "Are you sure? This doesn't make sense to me." The woman turned to another barista who was in the middle of making a latte... leaned in towards my drink and said, "oh that's because we had to change the barrel" So now at this point, I must appear perplexed to them. Clearly there wasn't a meeting to discuss what goes into a nitro cold brew and even worse how to NOT straight up lie to a customer. It was pretty obvious they were making this up on the fly, but I didn't want to press the issue. I simply asked for a regular cold brew. The woman quickly said, "do you want ice??" as if she was mocking me. It made me feel uncomfortable and also disappointed. I was handed the cold brew and I exited the shop. A cute little coffee house with a cozy interior reminiscent of the shops I used to see growing up back in Oregon! I came with two other friends around 10 AM on a Saturday. We decided to stop by and grab a couple cups of coffee as well as some breakfast. My friend lives near the cafe so he recommended we come. When we first arrived it was pretty empty; however, after we were almost done with our meal the cafe had a long line emerge. I decided to order an avocado BLT for my breakfast. The item was significantly more expensive than the other food items on the menu but the sandwich itself was just pretty underwhelming. The whole sandwich just felt dry and was only ok. The bacon also just tasted really dry, like it had all of the fat sucked out of it which is not how I like my bacon to taste. Additionally, since I don't personally drink coffee, I just decided to get a cup of water with my food. They had a large container for water along with some plastic cups off to the side; however, when I got there the whole thing was basically empty and I couldn't get out any water. Also service at the counter was great. The people who were working were efficient and very friendly. However, the cleanliness of the restaurant itself was not as impressive. The couch area we sat in had some trash pieces around as well as on the table. All in all, a pretty good experience just with a couple of hiccups along the way. read more

This little coffee shop was great. I saw "bullet proof" coffee on their DIY menu which made it feel a little homey. Cute. I love strong coffee, but this bullet proof coffee was not what I thought. The name made me think it was a really strong dark coffee, but I was wrong to assume. This ended up looking like milk with a hint of coffee and it tastes like coconut milk. So for future reference when going to a different place not Starbucks or Dunkin' I need to ask first. This was a surprisingly good drink. This premier coffee/tea luncheonette is a welcome sight to this busy area in Point Pleasant. The Divi has been open for about six months and the service and staff are friendly and very efficient. If I laugh, receive good service and the coffee is good. . . That's a good coffee shop visit for me. I was visiting some friends in Brick and I stopped at this coffee shop. I've come to anticipate an almost aloofness from local coffee shops when I visit. It I didn't receive that. Instead, service was great and the baristas were very friendly. We even had a laugh when I sat down in a chair which made a fart like noise as the air escaped the cushion. And after a few minutes of waiting my pour over finished and it was perfect. Came here earlier today and there was a surprising amount of people coming in through the storm! There's a lot of seating--both larger and smaller round tables for groups and higher seated long tables along the outside for working customers--with outlets and free wifi! I ordered a coffee and an avocado toast and my total came out to be $6.66...weird number but a steal for how much avocado toast is at other places. The coffee was a little mellow, but I liked it nevertheless and it tasted very fresh. The avocado toast had a perfectly cooked oozy egg on top of the avocado and grain bread. I had never had an avocado toast with sriracha on it, only red pepper, but it wasn't bad. Definitely still a fan of red pepper flakes more though. My only minor issue is that even though I ordered my coffee for here, it still came in the usual paper cup. And the plastic plate and utensils could have been upgraded to a ceramic plate and metal utensils for a better dining experience.
