We ordered the Brioche French Toast, the Blueberry Pistachio Pancakes, the Mediterranean Omelette with Potatoes and the Applewood Bacon. The French Toast was as amazing as it was before and the Blueberry Pistachio Pancakes were excellent!! Light and fluffy with a great texture; some of the best pancakes we've had! The service was extremely disappointing. We understand that the restaurant was understaffed and that there were only two cooks working, and we tried to be understanding of the situation. However, everyone at our table received their food except for one person, who did not receive their meal until 30 minutes after everyone else had been served. Given the significant delay and the inconvenience it caused, we expected the restaurant to acknowledge the situation in some way--typically, something like removing the delayed item from the bill would be a reasonable gesture of courtesy. Unfortunately, there was no effort to address the inconvenience or show any consideration for the guest who was left waiting. We understand that staffing issues can happen, but the lack of communication and consideration in how the situation was handled made the experience particularly frustrating and disrespectful. This is a cute cafe in the heart of Spring Lake. I popped in one day for lunch and had a delicious chicken sandwich and crispy fries. It was pretty busy inside, so I opted to sit outside. It was a nice day, and they have a few outdoor tables with umbrellas. My only complaint was that the waitress was unfriendly and seemed like she was rushing me (which was wild because I was there for maybe 35 minutes). I want to support all the businesses in Spring Lake, and especially want to like this place, however the service is below standard for such a high-end town. The diet Coke was out and our server complained about being over worked etc. Also seemed like a kitchen problem because the avocado toast was very bad. Basically mashed up half an avocado with no seasoning and put a tomato that was more white than red. $70 for breakfast with that quality is not worth. Stopped in for a late breakfast after a 3 mile walk. Got a table as soon as we walked in, that was great, our server, maybe just not real happy about waiting on tables at this point in her life--I get it. We got our coffee, never asked if we wanted water, nor ever told us the specials. And having been here before, I knew there was something on my Huevos Rancheros I didn't want, so I said 'please no scallions', and she said, "do you want them? if not, then you're not getting them." Awww, such a sweetie! And after we placed the order, I realized it was cilantro I did not want, that the kitchen automatically adds.And it was such fun calling her over to tell her to hold the cilantro. I can't remember when I had a better time! Our food was very good, we only saw her again when we were done and she asked how was everything and if my husband wanted more coffee. 3rd visit of the season and we intend to be a weekly luncheon guest. Food fas been delicious, fresh and reasonably priced. We are stuck on our weekly weekday visits to Spring lake...leisurely lunch around 1:30 always at Honey Berry (we don't want to hold up their prep closing around 3pm). The service is great starting from the greeting to the end. No rush dining. LOVE their nova with whipped cream cheese, tomato, red onion and topped with dill and capers. After a short walk to Faherty and the sweet Kate & Company shop (not to be missed) to browse and buy. Hit the beach from 4-6pm. Sometimes I'm afraid of ordering new things as I don't want to be disappointed and have a bad experience but I must say this place pleasantly surprises me every time - everything I've ordered is made so well and is so delicious (coming from a person who doesn't say the word delicious too often). I usually sit outside and the vibe is exactly what I'm looking for- bright, quiet-ish brunch mornings away from the chaos and tornados that are my kids. The inside of the restaurant is very cute. Restrooms are clean. Service is always great- the staff never forget about you regardless of how busy it gets. I wasn't thinking about it and was going to waste half my latte today but the waitress asked if I wanted a to-go cup for it, which I found to be thoughtful and considerate of her to offer. Since that point the quality and well overall experience has declined.. the management is border line rude and presents a less than pleased to see you attitude. This was our first time having lunch at Honey Berry and it definitely will not be our last. My wife looked at reviews and decided that this was the place to go. We were seated indoors because the outdoor seating was filled. My wife had the beet salad, which was huge. I was surprised that she could finish it. I had the Mediterranean omelet with home fries and toasted rye bread. Our meals were tasty and reasonably priced for a shore resort town. Service was professional and friendly. Have been a regular customer for some time. Was there last weekend and I tried to order my iced decaf that I always get and the waitress said we don't offer iced decaf anymore. I said why and she said we don't have tempered glass and it can explode. I was offered an iced decaf latte that I didn't want. We always get 2 orders for the babies/table. Highly recommend the Santorini toast with a side of scrambled eggs on top. Iced chai lattes are pretty tasty too! If you want just water to start your day (like I prefer), you have to ask for a normal glass. Otherwise, it comes in a little juice glass. The first time in (a month ago), the service was friendly & quick! The second time (this week), the staff seemed overall annoyed. Might've just caught them at a bad time, not sure. Service was slow. One thing I noticed was the younger employees were wearing their AirPods in one ear and just appeared very unfriendly. I recently went here for breakfast - it was my second time at Honey Berry. The location of this restaurant is great. Parking is fine. They have a nice menu. The day we went, they didn't have any 1/2 & 1/2 for the coffee. We picked several dishes to try from the menu and split them. The food tasted fine, no big wow factor though. Our server was very nice but some of the other servers don't seem as friendly. Same with the hostess. The hostess came to the back of the restaurant (to seat a table) and a lady had asked the hostess a quick question. The hostess snapped at that lady saying she doesn't work back here, that she works up front. I understand when things are busy it can be stressful but it was a week day and there were empty tables. Stopped at the Honeyberry Café for lunch. First time there. Met somebody who was smiling took us right in and put us at a table waitress came right over and asked us what we wanted to drink. We got ice tea with extra lemon and it was delicious. We decided to split a chicken salad with walnuts on a croissant and a Brie, apple and fig grilled cheese. Sandwiches were absolutely delicious. We tried french fries on one and sweet potato fries on the other one love this sweet potato fries. French fries were good too service was excellent. They checked on us. The prices were good.
