We were spending the weekend in Spring Lake, and were looking for a breakfast place. We had eaten the day before at the Marigold Cafe which was very good. We saw the Honey Berry and decided to give it a try. Great choice! We shared the Brioche French Toast and the Mediterranean Omelette. The French Toast was exquisite! It was light and fluffy with a delicious taste. The Mediterranean Omelette has fresh spinach, tomato, scallions and feta cheese. It was a very good Omelette, the feta cheese was a great change from the cheddar you typically get, and it was full of veggie! Honey Berry was as good as the Marigold! This is a cute cafe in the heart of Spring Lake. I popped in one day for lunch and had a delicious chicken sandwich and crispy fries. It was pretty busy inside, so I opted to sit outside. It was a nice day, and they have a few outdoor tables with umbrellas. My only complaint was that the waitress was unfriendly and seemed like she was rushing me (which was wild because I was there for maybe 35 minutes). Not a big deal, but I probably would've taken my time more if she hadn't kept checking back in to see if I was finished. read more

Since that point the quality and well overall experience has declined.. the management is border line rude and presents a less than pleased to see you attitude. Service remains decent and of course you cannot beat the environment. This was our first time having lunch at Honey Berry and it definitely will not be our last. My wife looked at reviews and decided that this was the place to go. We were seated indoors because the outdoor seating was filled. My wife had the beet salad, which was huge. I was surprised that she could finish it. I had the Mediterranean omelet with home fries and toasted rye bread. Our meals were tasty and reasonably priced for a shore resort town. Service was professional and friendly. Have been a regular customer for some time. Was there last weekend and I tried to order my iced decaf that I always get and the waitress said we don't offer iced decaf anymore. I said why and she said we don't have tempered glass and it can explode. I was offered an iced decaf latte that I didn't want. As much as I love the food there I won't be returning because I can only iced coffee. Bummer. read more

I recently went here for breakfast - it was my second time at Honey Berry. The location of this restaurant is great. Parking is fine. They have a nice menu. The day we went, they didn't have any 1/2 & 1/2 for the coffee. We picked several dishes to try from the menu and split them. The food tasted fine, no big wow factor though. Our server was very nice but some of the other servers don't seem as friendly. Same with the hostess. The hostess came to the back of the restaurant (to seat a table) and a lady had asked the hostess a quick question. The hostess snapped at that lady saying she doesn't work back here, that she works up front. I understand when things are busy it can be stressful but it was a week day and there were empty tables. Super cute morning / lunch cafe! Clean and cute with patio seating options. The food is great! Been twice this summer! The pancakes are unreal; taste like a funnel cake! We always get 2 orders for the babies/table. Highly recommend the Santorini toast with a side of scrambled eggs on top. Iced chai lattes are pretty tasty too! If you want just water to start your day (like I prefer), you have to ask for a normal glass. Otherwise, it comes in a little juice glass. The first time in (a month ago), the service was friendly & quick! The second time (this week), the staff seemed overall annoyed. Might've just caught them at a bad time, not sure. Service was slow. One thing I noticed was the younger employees were wearing their AirPods in one ear and just appeared very unfriendly. The constant AirPod thing with the younger generation is overall unprofessional in my opinion - but hey! At least they're working. Overall, food is delicious. read more

Stopped at the Honeyberry Café for lunch. First time there. Met somebody who was smiling took us right in and put us at a table waitress came right over and asked us what we wanted to drink. We got ice tea with extra lemon and it was delicious. We decided to split a chicken salad with walnuts on a croissant and a Brie, apple and fig grilled cheese. Sandwiches were absolutely delicious. We tried french fries on one and sweet potato fries on the other one love this sweet potato fries. French fries were good too service was excellent. They checked on us. The prices were good. A perfect spot for a creatively prepared breakfast or lunch. The chef does a wonderful job. The selections are many from Avocado toast to Giant bowls of oatmeal or yogurt with fruit and I mean GIANT! Lunch salads and sandwiches are creative too. Grilled cheese, a combo of Brie and fig jam or French onion soup sandwich, caramelized onions grilled beef and Gruyère cheese and many more. The place is clean. I watched the owner making expresó, lattes hot or cold. The owner sprays the tables and cleans up when patrons leave. The wait staff is terrific, a shout out to Vickie and Stephanie our waitresses for the week!
