Incredible donuts, kind and attentive staff, and a long long list of creative flavors. I wish I could come more often!! The donuts are all made to order, and they are incredible. I wanted to get a large variety, in order to try as much as possible. I LOVED "the belmar" and the coffee chocolate chip. This location is conveniently right next to a rook coffee, so it becomes a morning one-stop shop!
I didn't have a donut but HIGHLY recommend these croissant dough things. No clue what they're called and they weren't on the menu but on the specials but they're hot, sugary, and immediately melt in your mouth. I could order a box of these alone. Staff was friendly and helpful and answered any question I had. Service was super quick. Place is small and there isn't really anywhere to sit. They also have themed donuts like shark week. Highly recommend.
If you are in the Long Branch area, definitely take a trip here. Their donuts were delicious! The shop closes around 3pm now due to covid, but definitely come here for breakfast, lunch, snack, or treat! The donuts are slightly pricier than I wanted, but it was definitely tasty enough where I can't really subtract a star. All the dough have the same base and they are all decorated and designed right in front of you. The base is very doughy and heavy, not light like a glazed donut. It had a lot of substance. Personal preference is sweet but savory so I got all the ones in the picture because it was chocolatey with some nuts or had something that jumped out to me. Definitely ask the cashier for their suggestions cause that's what I did. Very hipster, very good Definitely will come back for more!
Broad Street Dough is a beautiful little shop. I loved the personality of the employees, so friendly and their enthusiasm for their business is contagious. The menu is daunting with all of the wonderful varieties of doughnuts this business offers. The doughnuts are absolutely gorgeous, picture perfect if you will. Unfortunately I was underwhelmed as was my family. I can see the quality and the care that was taken when creating these but I just don't think they taste all that great. I found that the actual doughnut was moist but it lacked flavor. We tried approx 10 different ones and I struggled to find one that I would go back for. While they look beautiful and the people who at this shop are awesome, in the end it is all about the doughnut, right? Not a fan.
Wow! Anyone can make a donut, but this is one of two places that perfected it. The donuts while flavorful and unique, don't overpower you. I drove here specifically for the beignets, and they were incredible. Like a finer version of the New Orleans classic. I'll be back.
With close to 300 reviews and 4 1/2 stars overall, I don't expect to move the needle at this point to further improve their rating. That said - I just have to chime in that these donuts are simply delicious works of art. I'm enjoying one as I write this on Day 2 and they're still fresh and delicious. They are smaller, diameter wise, than a Duck donut or Krispy Kreme but much more dense and packed with flavor. I'm a fan of Duck Donuts from when I first had them in OBX and happy they've franchised to where I can take a road trip in NJ to enjoy them again but these guys at Broad St. may have my new favorite donuts. The staff is super friendly too. Worth the trip!
The crew at BSDC never disappoints! I've never had anything there that I didn't love. Highly recommend!!
From the street, the store front is non-descript. I have been in this area for over 13 years and never realized what this place was. We discovered this place on yelp and the photos look heavenly! So I decided to come in and order 12 donuts after my wife reviewed the large menu and selected her order. You get to select what you want and they custom make your order on the spot. Fresh donuts always taste better. I think the descriptions could be better, so you know if there is anything inside. Sometimes it is a bit misleading. For example, when it says it has Bavarian cream, you presume it means inside.. learned that lesson. First about the donuts themselves. They are absolutely delicious! Made fresh in front of your eyes. Just make sure you know what your getting. Now about their service... When I first came in, the friendly "Welcome" was shouted out and gave that friendly feel. The same with the service at the register. However... I ordered 1 set of regular donuts and all was well. I then noticed that they had some Holiday donuts and went back to the register and ordered some of the holiday donuts. I made sure to ask for specific types to be included in the holiday batch. The person at the register said ok and I placed my order. While waiting for that order, I met a friend who picked up his order and returned stating that his donuts didn't have the holiday toppings he was expecting. They were just the simple ones. He was met with a rude response, that his order is based on what "He" had ordered. As if the mistake was his, and then they offered to accommodate. Now, curious about my order and wanting to make sure my order included what I asked for, I asked if mine included the ones I had asked for. I was told NO, the batch of 9 does not come with that... Wait? What?! Why didn't the person at the register tell me this when I asked for those specific ones to be included? Once again, I was made to feel as though, its my mistake and they will do me a favor and fix my mistake. They then made 1 of each that I asked for. So they made 3 what I asked for and the rest were plain. That experience completely soured my experience and definitely overshadowed the initial positive experience.
I like donuts .. I love donuts-- see? I can't lie.. I braved the gauntlet on Fathers Day to get my Hubby donuts- I bought 1 of each- ya a lotttta donuts!! Handmade as you order, not sitting for hours out in the open or in a case getting dry and funky.. nope these babies are donut gold, simple yet decadent, so fresh that they are warm little bundles of donut happiness, amazing!! I would brave gauntlet again and again and again.
My husband and I will forever take the 40 min drive to Broad St. Dough Co. bc yes, their donuts are just that good. I wish I could name all of our favorites, as we've never had a bad donut here. Moist is an understatement, the texture is indescribable! Can't go wrong with a Blueberry Crumbbun, Chaitown, Toasted Coconut (I think), Almond Joy! Again, I wish I knew all of their names!!! Just come in, you won't be disappointed!
I don't know what kind of magic they put into making most of their donuts vegan and gluten-free, but it's definitely pretty impressive! I've been meaning to make the trip out here for such a long time, and definitely so glad that I did. There are so many choices and unique flavors that is definitely hard to choose. Take it from me, get more than what you originally anticipated on getting, because you'll definitely be wanting to share these with people! We ended up getting a dozen of the vegan and gluten-free ones, and I'm still pretty amazed at the Bavarian cream doesn't have any dairy in it. My favorite one was the Island Broad which is lemon and coconut. I personally prefer more sour donuts, but there are definitely plenty of choices if you prefer the ones that are more sweet. You can also never go wrong with fruity pebbles or anything to do with jelly. Also couldn't resist getting a candle! Because who doesn't want the room to smell like blueberry donuts? The smell of the Blueberry CrumbBun candle is just incredible. Your room will smell like fresh baked blueberry muffins anytime you want!
These donuts are probably handcrafted by a donut God most likely. I'm not sure what it is about them but my goodness they are beyond amazing. From all of the variety flavors they have to offer, each donut comes out pipping hot bursting with flavors. If you are not a fan of donuts in general, just try Broad Street and they will certainly convert you and i am being far from dramatic. These donuts are light and fluffy which makes them so easy to eat and devour within seconds. We had gotten a dozen and while all of them were delicious, my favorites were the Nanctucket, Queen B, fruity pebbles and the Howell. After eating half of these with my friend, we could not stop thinking about these scrumptious, delectable treats. I swear on everything, if you are i the area you must try. These are hands down the BEST donuts in NJ.
Doughnuts are fresh and delicious. Always excited to see what weekend specials they have going on. Blueberry crumb bun is probably my favorite doughnut from here. Staff is very friendly.
If I'm going to Asbury Park for a beach day, you better believe I'm going to Broad Street Dough for some doughnuts I've been going here for years, and these doughnuts never disappoint! They're made fresh and are the perfect portion size. There are always specials outside of the standard menu, too. Everyone is also so friendly and welcoming here. I always have a great experience! While in this plaza go next door and grab a coffee from Rook! read more
As someone that's gluten free, this was such a fresh air coming in and being able to order majority of the menu. The donuts are DELICIOUS, my favorite was the route 35, followed by the strawberry one. It came out relatively quick too. They had some cute displays out so I took a picture but look how fun! read more
First-time visitor, I tried the S'mores, the croissant donut, and the Cinnamon Toast. The flavors were incredible, and I loved the chewy texture of the donuts. The service was friendly, and the spot had a low-key, no-frills vibe. Definitely recommend if you're in the area! read more

There donuts are too die for!!! Hands down my favorite. I usually get them for the holidays since they are such a hit at parties. I prefer the smaller ones as I feel less guilty eating more of them haha. They always have the best little decoration styles. They even do custom ones for events if asked. they are fluffy moist delicious can never get enough. read more
Let's drive 3 hours away for some doughnuts, you say? Who's sane enough to do that especially when the wind is blowin at 100 mph making it frigid to the bone just standing outside for a mere milli second? The crew and I volunteered as tribute. I mean what's a better way to warm up than filling up on sweet morsels. Insert Homer Simpson's being (forced) an eternity of doughnuts. They had a variety for you to choose from. You can make your own if you desire and it's all made to order. I did my research the day prior and I gladly opted for the option with bavarian cream, my absolute favorite when paired with the doughnut. Instead of 1 or 2, which I should have stuck to, I ended up with 6 and more. I couldn't pass up their daily specials which included pumpkin and spiced chai flavors. You can always count on these sweet delights to put a smile on your face before you regret. I had the chance to meet the owner of Broad Street Dough! She was so inviting and made our time their extra special. I was oblivious to the theme of the shop but she explained that she hires only females hence the name broads. Very adroit play on the business name. read more

Broad Street Dough Company (BSDC) has REALLY GOOD donuts. This isn't the fast-food franchise that re-heats frozen pre-made donuts and leaves them in an open air display case for hours. BSDC makes them the "old fashioned" way. These babies are made fresh, in front of eyes, after an order is placed. Upon entering BSDC, a large prep area occupies the rear and right side of the store. Stand-up counters are located to the left and right for those wishing to eat-in. Directly to the left of the order counter, a large menu adorns the wall. The selection of doughnuts is vast...traditional, specialty, inside-out stuffed, and toppings of anything you could imagine. Vegan, Gluten-free, and Parve options are available as well. There's something for everyone and nobody is left out!! We ordered the Mulberry Street, West Park and a seasonal specialty Pumpkin Spice. Up first was the Mulberry Street, a cannoli filled doughnut topped with vanilla cream. The first bite was met with a slight crunch, a lite cake-like consistency, cannoli filling and vanilla cream....heaven! The West Park, a barvarian cream topped with chocolate, was equally delicious as was the specialty Pumpkin Spice. BSDC was an excellent experience and brought back some fond memories of OG doughnuts. We will visit again and again and again!!!!! Notes: * Voted as one of NJ Monthly's Best Doughnuts * Located in strip mall on RT 35 North, Oakhurst * Friendly and helpful wait staff will help with your selection * Willing/can accommodate food restrictions/allergies* Not up-scale * Expect to wait at peak times during evenings and weekends* Kinda pricey but it's good!! read more

The food and service are great. I loved the coco loco donut. Will definitely be back and they have gluten free too!! Will be back!!! read more
Who doesn't like Gourmet donuts? :) What I really dig about this donut shop is that you order and then they take fresh baked base donuts and dress them in front of you. They are super fresh beside being visually appealing I love how the menu on the wall has profile photos for each donuts :) .... on top of that- they have specials of the day ( things not on the regular menu) that are displayed near the order line/counter. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They have gluten and vegan donuts as well! 12 donuts- mixed with basic to specialty costed me about 20 bucks ... can't wait to share these :) read more

I've been eating Broad St doughnuts for years but I never been physically there to get the doughnuts myself until recently - had to make a pit stop on my way down to the shore. My cousin always gets it on her way here for our family gatherings and everyone loves them :) I loved every single donut I've tried during our family gatherings (we usually cut the donuts into pieces so everyone can try). It was really hard to narrow it down to 12 donuts when I was ordering (I could of gotten more, but self control). But I will say that the blueberry flavored ones are my absolute favorite. The shop is pretty small and doesn't have any seating area. Luckily for me when I came after Saturday lunch, it was not busy so I was in and out pretty quickly. I am very impressed at how quick the service is here especially because every single donut here is made to order. This can explain why the donuts here are so good, they are super fresh :) Some may think it's a bit pricey (the speciality donuts cost more) but I think it's so worth it! It's probably a good thing I don't live close to Broad St Doughnuts because I'll probably be a size of a whale. This is my favorite donut shop in NJ :) read more

Some of the best donuts you can find by the Jersey Shore. These are small donuts with all sorts of flavors and combinations. They taste freshly baked and the toppings really work. I ordered a bunch of different ones. They aren't necessarily cheap but you pay for the quality. I don't think I could pick my favorite donut since they were all pretty good. Each had a distinct flavor. Take a look at my pics for the different flavors. They are ridiculously good. The one critique is that the service needs to be a little more efficient of an operation. The line kind of moves slow if there is one. Other than that it was a good experience. Once you order the donuts come out quickly. If I am in the area I will definitely stop back in. It is a perfect treat! You won't be disappointed. read more
............................................... Speechless ! ............................................... These donuts were so absolutely delicious that I finished an entire dozen in a day! All by myself!! No exaggeration! No lies! And while I'm a bit ashamed.. I'm more proud than anything ! Haha These donuts are made fresh to order so when you get them they are warm and delicious!! (Def recommend eating them as soon as you purchase!) They're super warm and moist on the inside but the ones that come as little sandwiches have the most perfect crunch on the edges .. it's unbelievable. I had 12 different flavors and while they were all great, some of my favorites were: Queen B- Bavarian cream, sea salt, black raspberry, and caramel Island broad- Lemon-coconut Wayside Walnut- Maple and wet walnuts All American- peanut butter and jelly !! So these were my top 4 picks! As I was writing down my favorites, I had to catch myself because I almost kept the list going lol They were so delicious! I did find that I wasn't too much a fan of their chocolate donuts but they were still ok.. just not the best chocolate in my opinion.. still! It did not take away from how great their donuts are! Hence my five star rating! One tip that I do have is don't let them sit around too long before eating them! They don't hold up very well! They are absolutely delicious when they're fresh but I saved a couple for later on in the day and they did get hard pretty quick (which doesn't bother me too much because it just means they don't have a bunch of unwanted preservatives!) Broad street dough co is definitely quite the trek from where I live .. but now it is definitely a staple for my Asbury Park beach days! If you see me extra tan this summer .. you'll know why ; ) read more

Stumbled on this place on the way home from Atlantic City. Was looking for fresh and made to order donuts. And the first one that popped up on Yelp was Broad Street Dough. And no lie this place did not disappoint! Upon entry, we were were greeted immediately by everyone at the store. I felt welcomed instantly and asked if we had ever been there before. We got a very brief explanation of their donuts and how they are made to order. Their menu had such a great variety--from a simple glazed to the Boardwalk- vanilla frosting with rainbow sprinkles to the Mulberry Street with cannoli filling. You just want to try them all. Ordered 12 different kinds of donuts and watched as each were made. They were delicious! The donuts are fried so they are nice and airy. I will definitely come back and try the rest of the menu! read more

I am not from this area when I found this place I was very pleased with the response and attitude I got from the people that worked there they had a very good selection of donuts and every one of them were very tasty and presentation was up to par it was definitely a must return read more
We decided to detour a little on our road trip and get some donuts and we were not disappointed! The staff was super friendly from the moment we walked in! We got a 6 pack-vanilla chai, Bavarian Creme, vanilla with sprinkles, s'mores and 2 specials-fruity pebbles and it was supposed to be the m&m with cookie dough pieces but they forgot to add the cookie dough...donut was still great without it tho! They were all delicious, even the next day! On our way out the owner tossed in a free red velvet donut for my bf cuz he was bummed he didn't realize they had that and that's his favorite. Very generous of her! Well def be back if we're ever in the area! read more
