This place has excellent bagels and food. The muffins are huge and delicious. Coffee is really good, especially the ice coffee. The staff is very friendly. The blonde haired lady is really nice. I think her name is Lauren. I highly recommend this place! read more

This is a great spot for bagels. They have two locations now so double the opportunity to get Bagel Boyz bagels. I liked their plain, blueberry, and French toast bagel. read more

My daughter and me went to bagel boyz and got two bagels to go. This is a regular weekend occurrence for us, but this time after leaving we found so many pieces of hair all over her bagel that it was inedible. This wasn't a strand or two but more like someone had done their hair over or dropped their hairnet into the lox cream cheese and just mixed it up. read more

Really great bagels that are walkable from my house .. this place is great .. imo the best in the area,. Super fresh and just baked bagels .. you get them warm .. they're so efficient even with how busy they get ! Really like the French toast bagels and muffins too ! Prices are a bit high but compared to the rest it's pretty much the same read more

Bagel boys is a great spot. Pork roll Egg and Cheese was phenomenal. I really wish I was able to try some other things they had on the menu. Great location as well, super convenient. Owners are very friendly as well. Definitely stop by this bagel shop. read more

I was driving by randomly and decided to stop for a sandwich. I chose a sesame seeded bagel with ham and provolone. Bagels are large and the cold cuts are boars head. It was a decent sized sandwich and very good. I was hoping it came with a pickle or small side salad but just the sandwich. Service was attentive and quick. My order was taken immediately upon entering and then I was rung up as my sandwich was being made. Overall, nice experience and great sandwich. read more

Delicious bagels and friendly service. We indulge in Bagel Boyz weekly. Best bagels in the area

I've been on the hunt for a good bagel spot since we moved to the area 3 years ago and so far this has been my top pick. We've tried their bagels and bagel sandwiches and they great! Huge upside is they don't skimp on bagel seasonings- the bagels have toppings in both sides of the bagel! Service has always been solid- fast, friendly and efficient. read more

We live extremely close to Bagel Boyz and being a lover of bread, I hold my judgement of bagels near and dear to my heart. (I will not go to Gems; and prior to Bagel Boyz opening, I would constantly drive 20+ minutes to Bagel Masters for a quality bagel.) Happy to report that I no longer have to do that because Bagel Boyz has quite large bagels, that are always fresh! Some things to be noted: the inside is not quite large, so I recommend take out. They're often busy and sell out fast too, so I highly suggest calling ahead- especially on a weekend. Pros: Bagels and sandwiches are always fresh. The size of their bagels is LARGE. I prefer a big, fluffy bagel, so their bagels are perfect for me. My husband gets the Kevin Special and is always pleased with the quality and portion. They also have a set price for sandwiches, which i think makes it easier overall for the customer. Cons: My biggest gripe is when I order specialty cream cheese, i often have to order a side of it in addition to this, because there is not a lot on it. (I do not prefer a large amount, but if I'm being charged for speciality cream cheese, either put it on both sides, or put enough on the one side where it covers the whole bagel...) They also sell out of bagels fast. (For example: I walked over at 11 A.M. for a multigrain bagel and they're already sold out on a Tuesday.) Overall, if you know these tips, the staff is always friendly, and the food is always fresh. I'd recommend! read more

1) Ordered a garlic bagel but got a floppy, nearly inedible (almost like un-proofed/uncooked) bagel 2) Ordered lox cream cheese but there was no lox pieces, so was more like lightly lox-flavored cream cheese 3) There was a small hair in the cream cheese Avoid, go to Gems instead. read more

This bagel place is okay. The food was good but not great, the service could've been faster, but the ambiance was okay. They could get rid of the speed bumps, redo the parking lot, and get lines for the spots. read more

I LOVE this bagel spot! Such a cute family run business, you can tell by the way they interact and make you feel like you're at your hometown local shop! Bagels are deliciously fresh everyday! And their breakfast sandwiches never disappoint; we typically get their ham egg and cheese on a egg bagel but their cinnamon raisin bagels are also a big hit in our family! read more

Things go down hill. Poppy seed bagels used to be COVERED, top and bottom, with seeds....today, could have been considered a plain bagel. Been going here a long time, and the bagels have always been so fresh. Not today. They were tough and very hard to cut. So sad. read more

Hot fresh food and pleasant service, but nothing particularly remarkable. Seems to be a solid breakfast place/deli where you can get the basics. Not much seating. This is definitely more of a take-out situation. read more

Large bagels with amazing texture. One of my favorite places in the area. Classic egg and cheese with hot sauce hits the spot!

Disgusting rubbish bagels. If you like the taste of tires I would recommend. Nasty staff, not nice nor have any manners.

Wow! Finally a great bagel near by! Actually I only tried a bialy but it was nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside just as it should be. They also make them a nice size so you don't feel like you're being ripped off with the teeny tiny bagels most places sell. Actually they were so big the bagels didn't even fit in our bagel cutter. I usually cut a dozen to fries for the kids during the week abs I couldn't shove these big bagels into the cutter :-). Always seems to be a line but that makes total sense now that I've tasted the bagels. Our new fave! read more

Great food, very generous amount of meat on bagel sandwiches. My only complaint is that they are a little pricey!

Come here on an almost weekly basis. Their bagels are always fresh, they are always friendly and efficient and their flavors are great. Every time we have friends and family in town, they demand Bagel Boyz. read more

Service was prompt and courteous. They were very busy as it was Sunday morning. I got an everything bagel with sausage egg and cheese and it was really good. I also got a KitKat muffin and my Grandaughter loved it too. I saw many people picking up orders that were ordered ahead and that would be good if you're in a hurry. Very nice experience. read more

Best bagel in central Jersey! (In terms of flavor, price, friendliness) I just moved to this area and did a sweep of all nearby bagel places and this place is legit. (I always order Fresh, baked on premise and none of this BS cash only or 4-5% surcharge for credit card nonsense that other businesses around here are pulling (i smell tax evasion). I say a good bagel is one that doesn't need any toasting or schmear. You can just dig into the pillowy dough and then eat the slightly crisp outer layer plain. (Dunno anything about their sandwiches since i only buy plain bagels) Definitely my fave so far. read more

Buyer beware. Since opening the prices here have risen more than once. The cost of a muffin has risen to $3.99! Although the muffin is large it is not worth $3.99. Aldi sells a 4 pack of normal size, quite tasty muffins for $2.99. They have chocolate chip, banana nut & blueberry and they are quite good. The brand is Bake Shop. read more

I just left this dump stopped in to get a bagel at 1:30p pm . Ok that's late for these lazy people. Order a toasted everything . She spraying windex all over the place . Doesn't wash her hands . Puts on gloves I guess that makes it better. Then takes other orders who come in after . Leaves the toasted bagel to sit in the tray for a while as other windex spraying women run around . Turned around and left NEVER TO RETURN . Paid 3.50 for the bagel and a 50 cent tip and by the way your place is DIRTY read more

Came in for three everything bagels and one of them was a plain egg bagel, this is the second time theyve messed up and order of mine out of the two times ive been here. There were little kids running around the store getting in peoples space and one of them walked out of the kitchen picking his nose. This place is a disaster read more

Ruined my day. We just went in there and got three everything bagels, one pork roll, egg, and cheese, and the other two porkroll and cheese, with one porkroll and cheese toasted, let's just say they ruined everything. No pun intended. They somehow gave me, the one who ordered first a huge plain egg wash bagel, I hate egg wash and I hate bread unless it's covered in seasoning. I almost cried, it ruined my day and week. Then they toasted one bagel like they were supposed to but labeled the toasted one as untoasted and the toasted one as toasted. We waited like 15 minutes for these bagels and the place was chaos. I am unbelievably upset. 1 star. read more

I found the bagels to be some of the best in the area. They are crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy in the inside. They're so fresh that they don't need to be toasted (I only asked for toasted bagels if they've been out too long and are getting hard). The specialty ones are really good as well. Very happy to finally have had a chance to stop in; it's now our go to spot for fresh bagels. Despite what other customers have said, I did not find the employees to be rude at all (unlike some employees at other nearby bagel places which I shall keep unnamed). read more

As a Staten Island gal, I am use to the best bagels. We have found a few good spots. This was an ok bagel. My husband had the jalapeño cheddar cream cheese on his bagel which he loved. We had stopped in about 2 months ago for wraps that were delicious. read more

I ordered a bagel for takeout from here today - specifically an egg bagel with cream cheese. I'm almost sorry to have to write this, given I attempted to call right after to let them know. I opened up my bagel to wipe some off the cream cheese (I'm not big on a lot of cream cheese,) and when I did I found several pieces of what it looked like beard hair. In shock, I opened the other side of the bagel and saw a long hair. When I tried explaining there was no empathy or shock to my finding. This was my first time finding several pieces of hair in/on my food. I almost want to believe that it just fell and whoever picked it up thought it was okay- rather then whoever was putting the bagel together was just letting their hair fall down on it. read more

So happy these guys opened in this location. My wife and I are both from NY. We ended up in Holmdel to raise the kids. A quality bagel store is essential to us! It's an ok spot for a quick bagel but that's about it. To start, the woman who takes the orders isn't very friendly. I've gone in for a toasted bagel with cream cheese several times and they never toast it. Almost bought a muffin once but they don't look very appetizing so I passed. I ordered a sandwich that was on the menu for $6.99 and for whatever reason was charged $10 with no explanation. I dont like to cause a scene so I just paid for the sandwich and left. It was not worthy of the $10 price tag. The sandwich was extremely dry, the one cheese slice was so thin I couldn't taste it and the mayo I asked for was literally the size of a pea. I've had much better sandwiches for less. I think i'll pass on this place from now on. read more

Rude awful service. The lady at the cash register literally treats you like you are bothering her. Its unfortunate that she treats customers so poorly because the food isn't good enough for that ! Great friendly service and delicious sandwiches/bagels! Got the POBO and BOBO and both were mouthwatering. The interior of the bagel shop is bright and airy with plenty of tables for seating. The staff, Sherri is super overbearing and weird. No one wants to engage in a power struggle at 6:50 am. The level of interest in customers beyond the order is alarming, especially before coffee. The food is great but the exposure is not worth it. read more
