I occasionally come here on Sunday mornings to grab a bagel. It can get pretty busy, and you may have to wait a bit for your order. However, the staff is friendly, and the bagels are good. If you're looking for a lunch item, my favorite sandwich is The Atlantic, which is chicken cutlet, roasted peppers, fresh mozzarella, and pesto mayo on your choice of bread. Bagels are decent. They have become cheap on the meet for an egg sandwich (bacon). I think they need to END the demand for a tip when paying with card. You insert card and they flip the screen for you to pick a tip %. I mean they gave me a bagel, not even coffee I had to get that myself. Do they tip at McDonald's? Great bagels and sandwiches! I grew up in Lincroft and was always used to driving to red bank or holmdel to get my bagels but now this is my "go-to" spot. The bagels and pork roll egg & cheese are as good as anywhere in the area. I was surprised to see so many bad reviews and honestly they don't do this place justice so I felt the need to give a review. I think a lot of those bad reviews could be chalked up to the servers having a hard time keeping up with the flood of people after they first opened but that seems to have changed now because they have different help behind the counter and many more hands. read more

Disorganized behind the counter. Horrible customer service. I told the owner my order was wrong and he asked if i could just fix it at home. The same owner that Ive seen just sit there reading the paper while the line backs up out the door, not bc its that busy , but bc they are that slow. And then he has the nerve to yell to someone he knows to make sure they take care of his daughters behind the counter with tips bc they're only home for college for a week. Ive had the girl behind the counter BSing on the phone while shes trying to take my order. Its probably a 50/50 bet your order will be off in some way. The good food doesn't make up for the horrible customer service, and the arrogance of the ownership. I will be taking my business elsewhere moving forward. You should do the same. Love my local bagel shop! The standard bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a bagel is my go-to, and it's made with two eggs, and plenty of bacon, all of which balances well with the bagel, whereas other bagel shops on shrewsbury who will remain nameless skimp on the egg and bacon and overwhelm you with bagel. Only reason I gave four stars is because of the service, which is occasionally all over the place. Super nice people always, but not as organized as a busy spot should be. This place needs to put a major emphasis on sanitation. I was there recently to pick up bagels during coronavirus (had a mask on). The employee used the SAME glove to select my bagels, run my credit card, and press the credit card pad. I was so disgusted that I was speechless. I had to throw away my bagels when I got home in fear of cross contamination. Will not go here ever again. The bagels are good but at times have a tendency to be over cooked. Unfortunately, with the exception of the older lady working behind the counter, service is horrible!
