Bagels are so good.. service is meh and they don't take orders correct but keep it simple, check your order and you'll be fine there's plenty of parking and the breakfast sándwiches we're spot on... they also offer everything on pump which I've never seen. read more

The bagels and breakfast sandwiches are REALLY good. I hate that I can't put 5 stars. The service is always so bad a majority of the time I go in. It's gotten a lot better overtime but they have days where it's impossible to get them to answer the phone. I'll show up in person and it's empty customer wise. Never understood why they have this problem. read more

Great wraps and croissants. Super clean and great service. Bagels are delicious! Definitely recommend you get your bagels or wraps here.

I really like the food and service here. Everyone is super friendly and they are usually very accurate with the orders. I usually call ahead and the order is ready for pickup in about 15 minutes. The vegetable chibatta sandwich is my favorite. It has a mix of veggies (squash, mushroom, bell pepper, onion, etc.) and mozzarella melted on the bread with pesto and balsamic sauces. It's seriously so good! The pasta salad is also good, I like to get it with a pickle as a side. Their egg and cheese sandwiches are also great! read more

Bagels burnt- I got an egg and cheese on a cinnamon raisin bagel super dry and burnt Then I got a plain bagel with egg onion and mushroom- no option for a different bagel, egg was overcooked and super oily and salty. Hash browns were in an air tight container- became mashed potatoes, first and last visit. read more

Worst bagel I have ever had lox was slimy. Did not read the order I ordered a lox bagel with tomatoes and onions they just sent a pale plain bagel very doughy and cream cheese slapped on it and lox. The lox was disgusting it was slimy. I do not recommend this bagel place. There are a lot of other bagel places around the area with much better bagels. read more

Called several times and keep saying hold on and never come back so I drove there figuring they are busy. I walk in and no customers at all and about four staff just talking and laughing. I order a garden salad with tuna and they tell me it's not on the menu but it is. They make it but not happy about it. I use to love this place but will never go again. read more

Very active business in the heart of keyport. I ordered breakfast sandwiches for 7 people by phone. Order was ready when they said it would be. Everyone was pleased and said bagels were great. I also grabbed a dozen bagels which were warm in the bag. They sell cream cheese and have a great variety of bagels. No GF bagels. They aren't just bagels they have salads, wraps and a variety of sandwiches. Coffee station. Shared parking lot in front for easy access. read more

Really enjoyed coming in to pick up a breakfast bagel sandwich. I had the jalapeño bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese and it hit the spot. Service was quick. read more

I showed up right when they opened at 6am and ordered 16 bagels for around 18 dollars. I found the price to be fantastic for the size of the bagels. Everyone seemed to like the bagels so I would recommend this bagel shop if you are by Keyport. read more

All they do is laugh, talk in their language and ignore the customer standing in their face. It doesn't matter if you're a customer or a DoorDash driver nobody has time to come in here and patiently wait while you're sitting there laughing and speaking your own language, not even acknowledging me, but I'm spending my money here. I don't understand folks. read more

Very disappointed. I'm newer to the area and I thought I finally found a really good local bagel place. Bagels were decent, cream cheeses as well, service could have been a little better, but generally good. Then I saw one of the ladies using an old windex bottle with oil to spray down some veggies I think they were going to roast. That is disgusting on so many levels. If you don't know you shouldn't be using old cleaning product bottles for food, you should not be in the restaurant business. They are going to get someone sick. Very disappointing. read more

The staff over charged me on accident. Not very polite but the owner is very nice. Everything there is pretty good minus the gluten free bagels. They're the worst gluten free bagel because they come defrosted heated then instantly go stale and are so very dense. So if you're GF, skip these. read more

Definitely second time yeah no credit no new sandwich even though the last time I didn't get a sandwich and this time they didn't give me the correct bagel read more

Amazing food, love their bagels and specialty items. So good every time and very reliable

First stop at the new Wonder bagel was great! The shop is very clean, and the owner seems like a really nice guy. Bagels are very good, but are on the smaller side. The crumb cake is excellent! Definitely will be coming back! read more

Love their bagels!!!! Our favorite place to go - we just wish the staff was friendlier. Today there were two young girls working the registers, the tall girl with the nose piercing seems so annoyed with all the customers. There was no please or thank you or even a smile. The other young girl was short and had her finger deep in her ear and then proceeded to grab the customers bagels with that same hand. read more

great place to stop and get breakfast! i got a dozen bagels and a couple different cream cheeses. the blueberry cream cheese in particular is so delicious! the staff was friendly and service was quick. will definitely be returning read more

Went here for the first time today I usually go somewhere else for bagels but I was going past. I ordered a pumpernickel with vegetable cream cheese and they were very stingy with the cream cheese which was also light on the vegetables the bagel itself was good but for the price I expected better read more

The food is subpar and not worth the wait. The front staff takes forever to take your order, then forever and a day to pack the bag and take payment. The bagels are decent but not the quality you would expect if it's a staple menu item (i.e, the business name). Dont bother calling their phone number because they will keep you on hold until Jesus second coming and hang up on you if they are busy. I would not recommend anyone going there if you enjoy quality food and good service. read more

I don't want to lower the stars of the great spot because I actually like it. But my order today was prepared wrong. I asked for a pork Roll and egg but I got pork roll and cheese. I do t usually do cheese so this was a bummer. But the coffee cake was killer. read more

Not a fan of the vibe in here at all, and the bacon was undercooked, but I've been having a rough two weeks trying to find a decent Pork Roll, Bacon, Egg and Cheese around Matawan for a reasonable price and Planet Bagel came through. Good pork roll, egg and cheese, good roll, $8. Again, lackluster bacon but it was way better than the trash I've been eating for the last two weeks read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Don't bother trying this place. Staff not attentive and rude.

Best bagels in the area! Love their chicken and tuna salad. They are really busy so make sure you call ahead.

I love this place and love that it's only a few mins from home. I try to come here a few times a month. The bagels are always fresh, and everything tastes amazing. Their baked goods (made on site) are huge and delicious. read more

I recently moved into the area and have found a diamond in the rough. My first visit was a couple weeks ago with my daughter who lives in Virginia. She was craving a "real bagel" since Virginia does not have bagels like here. They were so good that I picked up a dozen and half for her to take on the plane home so she could freeze some and enjoy them at a later time. She reluctantly shared a couple of them with a few coworkers to show them the difference in Jersey bagels compared to Virginia. They were shocked in the difference in the quality and taste of the bagels. It's true that there's nothing like a Jersey bagel and Planet Bagel is one of the best. Today I stopped in and bought a dozen and a half for my office and everyone had nothing but great things to say about them. All the bagels were fresh and the service was quick. What more can anyone ask for on a dreary Friday morning but a great bagel to get through the work day. This will definitely be the go to place for my office parties and my private get togethers. Thank you Plantet Bagel read more

I have to say they have the best bagels in the area. The only problem is that the counter staff has problems. My last three visits they have messed up my order. Today I paid for three bagels but when I got home there was only one in the bag. I will be checking the bag before I leave the store from now on. If their bagels were not so good I would find a new place. read more

Not the greatest customer service. To be honest it doesnt matter because the food and bagels are great. Never had an issue with a messed up order or poorly cooked food. They are usually busy so order ahead. read more

Honesty it's ok . It's not really that good . Sandwiches aren't served with fries or any side at all for 10.00+ , bagels are overly expensive . Every time I do a double take when they tell me the price . I am a man of wealth but not stupidity. I had to write a review . I never do, but this place is a rip off . I would steer clear and find another bagel joint. read more

4 hours ago Been going to this bagel store for 3 years and they continue to not make my order correctly. TODAY THEY REFUSED TO FIX ORDER AND TOLD ME TO GET OUT OR THEY WOULD CALL POLICE EVEN THOUGH I PAID FOR THE FOOD. They finally refunded my money. I ordered a plain bagel scrambled egg cheese and bacon mayo and pepper and waited 10 minutes for fresh bagels to be made. Got home and it was an everything bagel. I would recommend everyone go to someplace. I've myself spent well over $1000 over the years and my family even more. He the manager/owner really was upset when I mentioned posting a negative comment on social media. I've never been so disrespected as a customer in my life. read more

I went in & ordered a Ham & Cheese on a roll...their menu has it listed as "Ham & Cheese Self Explanatory with Lettuce, Tomato, & Onion". I received my sandwich without Lettuce, Tomato, or Onion, so I went back in & simply said "My sandwich is missing the lettuce, tomatoes, & onion" & the girl behind the counter rolled her eyes & began her campaign on the fact that I needed to request that, all while being very nasty. when she thought I had left the store she began to lie to other employees that I came in with an attitude, when that wasn't even close. The place is run by immature teenagers with no supervision at all. 0/10, would not recommend. read more

Great bagels. Clean clean clean. Got an everything with egg white, plain with butter and plain with Boars Head turkey. Very good!

This bagel place is usually pretty good. Little pricier than others and don't get as much but the bagels are good. But the last few times the orders have been wrong, whether the order was phoned in or going in. Today, no worker seemed happy. One worker said "here" to the customer. My sandwich consisted of 2 pieces of turkey and 1 slice of cheese. That cost me $6. And change. Wtf?! I gave chances but this is it. I gave it another shot. I ordered turkey, lettuce, tomato on everything bagel. I got ham and cheese on a plain. Wtf? They even wrote my order down as I was saying it. read more

Everytime I order something from here, something is either wrong or missing from my order. It's very dissapointing, since the bagels here are pretty good, but the staff of highschoolers just don't seem to care read more

Recently moved to Union Beach from Staten Island. We definitely knew we would not get NY bagels in NJ. We tried pretty much every bagel store within a five mile radius! Planet Bagel has a solid bagel. No NJ bagel will have the rise or chewy texture of a N.Y. bagel, but Planet Bagel is definitely 80%. They also have good BEC and great bagel flavors. Our orders have always been accurate and fresh, and the service has always been friendly. I don't miss my SI bagel store when I order from Planet Bagel. I definitely recommend! read more

Absolutely love this neighborhood joint ! Friendly staff and Boss is always onsite greeting customers. The bagels and variety of foods served, such as their roast beef with mozzarella and balsamic glaze with tomatoes is incredibly tasty! The egg and cheese sandwiches are so fresh too! You must have their walnut cream cheese with a cinnamon raisin bagel! You haven't lived until you have had one! Their prices are very reasonable. Being from Brooklyn, I say their bagels taste the best! Even better than any other place I have had bagels... ever! Lorraine from Hazlet & Brooklyn! read more

If I could give it 10 stars I would. Owner always on site, food is always fresh and great, girls behind the counter always friendly and courteous.
