Found this place close to where we are working at Shrewsbury nj. Really good bagels and they are freshly made on premises. I was in the mood for a roast beef egg and cheese that morning on a toasted egg bagel. I grabbed it to go, but they do have some seating inside the shop. It's not too noisy. The line can get long, but it moves pretty quickly. I'm definitely coming back here and trying the pork roll next time on a jalapeño and cheddar bagel! read more

Best bagel spot in the area by a landslide! Everything is made fresh to order, quality ingredients and the service is fast and efficient. There are a few small tables inside where you can eat (note, it does get quite hot inside), but most people seem to just order and take home. The bagels here are the best I've found in the NJ area, even better than most NY places. The boil them here and that makes all the difference. Just tried this place out. The "Masters" is really a stretch. "Posers" would be more appropriate. If you think these bagels are good, you haven't tried any really good bagels. They do have a better crust that supermarket bagels, but that's the only good thing about them. The toppings are very stingy. An "everything" bagel should really be called an "almost nothing" bagel. The bagels are not hand-rolled and they're not very big. I saw that they were looking to hire staff, which is good, since the ones who were "working" there were mostly standing around and talking instead of filling my order for one simple appetizing item. I've never heard of this place before but my Boyfriend and I had to meet my mother at The Grove so I looked up bagel places near the grove! I did read a review that praised their coffee so I gave that a shot since I couldn't find anything in the drink refrigerators I liked. I ordered a blueberry bagel, egg, cheese & low fat veggie cream cheese. We sat down and waited for our food. The food came out pretty fast! About 5 minutes I would say. When I first looked that bagel it looked on the thinner side than most bagels I've had in NJ. My boyfriend's bagel was packed with what he wanted and since the bagel was on the thinner side, it fell apart. Not a big deal though because the bagel still tasted really good!!! The bagel sandwiches were so good we decided to give their house made rolls with egg cheese & potatoes! I got up and ordered once again! The sandwich was also really good and we left super happy. I was looking for a bagel spot and I am so happy I found Bagelmasters! Apparently this restaurant has a huge following and they just gained a new promoter after I stopped by this weekend! You can't miss the bagel shop on a Saturday morning based on the line out the door. We called ahead and when we pulled up there must've been 15 people in line. Despite ordering takeout, you have to wait in line with everyone else but they move through the line pretty quickly. We got to the main counter and our order ready so we were in and out quickly. I have to say the sandwiches were fantastic! The Pork roll, egg and cheese was so good! Perfect amount of pork roll and cheese. I'm glad to have found my new bagel spot. This place has made no progress during COVID, their quality of food and service decreased dramatically, the system they made up while restrictions are in place is a complete sh*tshow. It is impossible to order anything during a busy time, and even if you are lucky enough to reach them, the wait is ridiculously long and order is likely to come out missing ingredients or just completely wrong. I would not recommend this place anymore to anyone.
