They make decent breakfast sandwiches, and I do like that they use two eggs on their bagel sandwiches instead of skimping out with one. That alone makes the sandwiches more filling than a lot of other bagel spots around. My biggest issue is the everything bagel as it's a little too salty for me and on the thicker, denser side. I personally prefer a bagel that's a bit lighter and less heavy. They also offer flat bagels, which I didn't get to try, but I think I probably would've liked those better assuming they're not as salty. Overall still a solid local breakfast option. read more

Here is the final version with your correction: Ordered a bacon and egg sandwich with no cheese. I repeated no cheese three times. Once when I placed the order, once when they read it back, and again just to be sure. I pay, leave, open the sandwich, and of course there is cheese on it. I go back, hand them the sandwich, and say I want a refund, not a remake. They say it will only take a couple of minutes. I tell them I am not letting them waste any more of my time. This happens every time. I specifically said no cheese multiple times and I want a refund. The girl behind the counter suddenly acts confused and says I paid with a card and the manager isn't there so I can't get a refund. I say I'll take cash. She gives me cash but it is short. I do not realize until I get back to the car. I walk back in and tell them they shorted me. They try to argue with me until I literally count out the change in front of them. She reluctantly hands over the rest or so I thought. She shorted me again. At that point I cut my losses and walked out. Go to Bagel Factory in Matawan instead. Stopped here earlier today and we got 2 bacon egg and cheese on roll sandwiches. They were average to good. Service was fine, it was busy but there was plenty of pleasant staff to take the order and prepare. I did find the interior to be adorable for a bagel store / deli. The little tables and stools are so cute. The only downside I found to our visit today was the cost. Two breakfast sandwiches and a small coffee came to $15.00 +. Wednesday morning I had a hankering for a bagel it's been a while. This place was pretty good before new owners took over. My wife had a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese and she said it was meh. I had a sesame bagel with cream cheese. My bagel was semi stale! Very disappointed. I don't like crunchy bagels. I had high hopes for this place I been passing it for the last couple weeks back from my sons soccer practice. From the exterior it's very appealing. I was surprised when I went in to see a small little display of chips with only two brands and five salads to choose from to have with your sandwich. I'm assuming maybe this place specializes in breakfast ? Idk but my sandwich was weak AF. The bread first and foremost was stale. Their bagels are okay. This place is only a couple blocks from my house, so I SHOULD go here, but I don't. They've gotten my order wrong too many times. It seems they either have a high turn-over and keep hiring people who have no bagel experience, or the people who work there just don't care to learn because I've received breakfast sandwiches with lettuce on them from this place. Who puts lettuce on ANY breakfast sandwich? It's tiny inside, without room to sit. The parking lot on the outside kinda wraps around the building, so people have no idea where to park. Ordering something like "everythingn bagel with fresh lox, cream cheese, tomatoes, onions, and capers" always seems to get strange looks from the folks writing it down, as if I've invented some monstrosity they never heard of. Great place to eat if you want every communicable disease that the workers have. They gather and talk over your food as they make it with unwashed and ungloved hands. I watched a worker, put her cell phone in her pocket, handle money/credit cards at the cash register and then handle food with her bare hands. Excellent subs. The workers are great at following instructions with food modifications and requests. The salads are very boring and bland. I ordered a grilled chicken salad once and added avocado slices in it. It costed around $15 how bizarre! If it was a slamming salad, I wouldn't mind, but geez. The coffee is pretty watered down, so it's nothing special. My huaband loves their bagels. The service is very fast and organized. My one advice is to don't order any subs from 2:30pm onward. This place is right near my house. The Food is consistent and pretty solid. No matter what time of the day I go it's always fresh. They have a huge selection and will even make you custom items if you ask. My problem is with the counter help. If you call In, it is a huge clusterfuck. I don't know if the people who answer the phone don't understand English or if it's just too loud in there but it's really a pain in the ass when you're trying to order food on a Saturday and it takes 20 minutes and your order is still wrong. I always cringe when I hear wheat anything! It tasted better than the one I had last time, and I'm glad I tried Bagel Time again! The only issues were, the 2 egg white on a bagel was $2.50, but my sandwich was closer to $4 after the tomatoes and tax. I guess that's the price to pay trying to eat healthy. Always busy because it's so good! Very clean as well. Staff are very friendly even on the busiest Saturday or Sunday mornings. The owner helps with orders to keep the line moving. Hands down my favorite spot for breakfast :) Because it's such a great bagel spot, it can get packed in the mornings during the weekend. Also, their grill shuts off right before 2 on the weekends so if you're looking for a hot breakfast sandwich to fill you up, get there before then. I've gone to other bagel spots in town, but this one is the only one that makes my delicious French toast or super cinnamon bagels. I usually order that with hame, egg, and cheese with some coffee to go. Also, if you like the classic glass coke bottles, you can get those here!
