I called in weeks before my move and talked to the owner of the company, I told him exactly what I needed to move and what kind of truck. We agreed on the labor price and mileage. His secretary called me back and confirmed the date and time, and took a security deposit. I got an email confirmation and a schedule confirmation. I got email confirmation a week before to confirm the move. I got an app confirmation three days before. Then a text confrontation the day before and and another email. I also reconfirmed via the app. So 6/30 rolls around and my sister is there at 8:30 AM. They don't show up. They don't call, they don't text or email. The owner and the secretary don't answer their phone. My sister drives to the office, it's closed. They never show up. I leave messages, I sent an email. They owner never calls me. I talk to the secretary until she tells me that she quit. Don't trust this company!!! My move was a total disaster and ended up costing my double what it should have. *** UPDATE The owner of the business finally contacted me angry about my review. They told me it would take like around 5 hours that include time that movers spend getting to your place and time that they spend do deliver your furniture to new address. I reserved their services about a month ahead of time through Jay who responded quickly and was thorough and professional in all his emails. He sent me the name and cell phone of the two guys who would be helping me. They were on time, ready to go. They needed no direction or encouragement. We quickly developed a system where I unloaded, Charlie loaded unloaded the elevator and Ian shuttled from the elevator to the apartment. We unloaded a tightly packed 20' truck in less than 2.5 hours. They didn't even take a 5 min break. When I gave them some bottle water they drank it on the go. These guys were courteous, respectful and worked really hard. I had to call…read morerepeatedly for status updates the day of the move, and when the crew did show up it was almost past the arrival window of 7 pm. They started the clock and then one guy took the smelliest poop I've ever been subjected to in my freshly scrubbed bathroom. The other guys waited for him to finish blowing up my bathroom, so it wasn't until 20-30 minutes into my billed time that boxes actually started moving. Items marked "fragile" were tossed around, breaking at least one thing in every box, even though I had packed in paper, bubble wrap, and padding. They kinda just heaped everything in the truck, so it makes sense why almost every piece of furniture saw some minor damage. When we finally arrived at my new place, they took a smoke break next to the truck with the door open, so all of my belongings got a nice coat of smoke smell. I picked these guys because they were cheaper than the competition, but for me it wasn't worth saving just a few hundred bucks. It could have been worse, sure. But ya know, YMMV. Just make sure you wrap and pad your stuff WAY more than you normally would, and move anything breakable or important yourself.
