I needed a moving company on very short notice, and during the busy season, (late spring & summer). My husband an I were initially going to use pods, but after a couple days of packing realized we were in over our heads. With 3 bedrooms, a huge living room set,an office, an 8 seater dining room table, 3 armoires, an outdoor furniture set, kayaks, bikes, etc... I reached out to the company, and received an email response from the owner himself, Jeff Mason. The correspondence was with much ease. He sent us one of his sales reps within 24 hours. It's a good thing we reached out, we were told we needed a tractor trailer! Bryan, our sales representative was on time and courteous. He explained that with such short notice, (2 weeks), they had availability for such a big job. They came to pack us up 2 days before the move. We would then be moving into our new home the day after we closed. Because of this, we payed 3 nights storage at a very reasonable price. This worked out even better than I thought. We were able to give the crew a better idea of where we wanted our stuff when they arrived on move in day. Cam, the Forman assigned to our move was on time, professional, and has been with this 4th generation company for many years. The men working on his crew did exactly what was expected of them, delivering and setting up each piece of our furniture with the care of a white glove service. My antique armoires were in perfect condition, my framed photos weren't cracked, and there wasn't a scratch on any furniture. Terrible experience. I had high hopes given the good reviews. Brian came over for an in-house appraisal. He was an hour late due to traffic, but that's given in downtown Boston. Excellent service and very professional during the appraisal, but then... crickets. I got an final estimate 4 days later to move one room and a car from Boston to Seattle. On-site he said it would be between $5k and $6k, but the estimate was for $8k... I am still waiting for other options that he offered to lower costs (ship car and stuff separately, for example). It has been over 10 days now, and still nothing. I have tried calling multiple times and no response, text messages and also no response, and emails, guess what? I can't get the guy to even make me an offer, how can I trust the company to move my stuff?f Ultimate decision? I am not moving my furniture. I am selling it or trashing it, and sending books, clothes, and whatnot with Amtrak... way cheaper and faster. I bet they move things okay, but I didn't even get to that. Your call. read more

They were incredibly fast, and wrapped all of my items individually in copious amounts of padding and paper before crating them. Everything came through without a scratch. Called RC Mason movers for a estimate on a move. They came out to give me a price, after Being a half hour late to appointment. They then told me it was a full 8 hour minimum per day because this was a busy time of the year? So if its only a 4 hour move you have to pay for 8 hours? So in January when there not busy can you pay half price? I think this is price gouging! I will never use this company nor ever recommend it!!!! read more

Jeff and George are really professional and experienced movers. I started with Ray the office person at RC Mason Movers. He was so helpful and most of our follow up was by email. He sent a quote which was a very fair price and less than I had expected for a professional moving company. While this was a small job, I would use RC Mason for a full household move since they are an agent of Atlas Van Lines, so can handle the biggest, long-distance moves. It's clear that Jeff, George and Ray all have years of experience in their jobs and that was a big relief when things got complicated. For example, when they got to the new building for the move-in, they were required to move things through the loading dock, which was a floor below and through an obstacle course of hallways and doors, some of which required a passcode. Both Jeff and George took this all in stride, which helped my stress level because this surprise route to the unit took a lot more time and effort. They were extremely patient and seemed to just take the attitude that it takes whatever it takes to get the job done. That's what a pro does and I will be saving their number for future use. read more

Terrible phone manner and poor, very poor customer service. I called to get some information and a quote to move from the east coast to the west coast. From the moment the man on the other end answered he seemed annoyed. I mentioned I would like to take a couch, tv, king size bed, a motorcycle and a car. He quoted me $8,800 (outrageous) and then hung up on me after he said the number. Strange. This is not a company I would recommend based on their customer service alone. read more

They came to pack everything up on Monday, 6/26 and our originally scheduled delivery date was July 5th. We were pleasantly surprised when Harold told us he would have it there by 6/28. I was very disappointed with how things ended up with RC Mason. The salesperson Brian was very helpful when providing me information, although it often took him several days to return a call. I chose to go with Mason for my move from Danvers MA to Boulder CO. My belongings were picked up as planned, 3 weeks before my arrival to Boulder. The day before I was flying to Boulder I found out my belongings NEVER LEFT MASON's PARKING LOT. Not only did they forget to ship my things, they lied to me about it. I eventually found out from Atlas and not RC Mason. Ashely from RC Mason pretended she was helping me and said Atlas dropped the ball, but I specifically asked her where exactly my things were and she said "she is trying to find out from Atlas". However they were in a truck in the parking lot of Mason. Ashely gave me her work cell phone and said call anytime - but when I called she never responded. I finally spoke to Jeff Mason who did at least follow up and provided me with honest answers. My belongings came one week late and I had to stay in a hotel while my pets that came with me were in an empty house scared. I would NEVER hire them. If you do follow up every day and call Atlas for an update, because Atlas is the ONLY one that told me the truth and helped me manage through it. read more

We just moved using RC Mason movers and they were great from start to finish.I called to get a quote after they were recommended by my son in law. Brian came the next day to give a quote. He surveyed our apt and we also told him we had stuff in a nearby self storage unit. He was very professional and sent us an estimate promptly. We were not moving for a few weeks after that. They were doing some roadwork at the condo we were buying and we told him about this. He actually went over there and spoke to the construction crew and condo maintenance dept to be sure his trucks would get through, They recommended he not use the largest truck so he called us and we agreed to a revised estimate using 2 smaller trucks ( with one starting at apt and one starting at storage unit). He said it may even come out cheaper that way. On moving day the crew showed up promptly and were again very professional. Both trucks and all 4 men started at the apt and then went to the storage unit. They said they felt it would be more efficient that way. Luther was the crew leader and the other men were Matt, Denery and Denis. They really were very efficient. Since we had already moved over many of the smaller items and cartons they just had furniture to move. They ended up not needing to use the second truck so the final overall charge came out less than the estimate. All furniture was placed in the condo where we wanted it and the entire team was pleasant to deal with. I would highly recommend RC Mason movers if you need a quality honest moving company read more
