Just the heavy things I can't do myself. I was charged $742. My original quote was $405-$565. They wanted to say it's because of the 2 hour drive that was "not included." Which was already in the quoted price where it says it's included! I provided an image that says it was included. I had to argue with the movers and speak with a supervisor. I had moved an entire house for $700 before. So for a single room move for $742 is nuts. Also need to mention they will lie about the time on the detailed receipt that they worked more hours than how long it really took. The time from start to finish was 9:00 to 11:00. So be alert to look at that. Also lied that they were charging more because they were "assembling" my bed frame, which they indeed did not and I didn't need them too. So I ended up paying $600. Which is still more than the quoted price and an hour long interaction about the pricing.

We moved a 3 floor townhouse worth of big ticket furniture, boxes, and other odds and ends (such as an elliptical machine) near New Hampshire, to a 3 floor house in Boston. The quoting process and their inventory system process was a breeze to use, which helped them facilite the correct sized moving truck to be used. They were very accommodating with our moving period/schedule. The communication was very clear and concise, with very prompt responses via email whenever we had a question or concern. We honestly set it, and forget it until moving day arrived. The day before moving day, we received the timeframe window the movers would come. Day of the move, the truck and three movers came. They went over the cost breakdown with us again, so that there were no surprises for us (there were none!). We gave them a quick walk-through of our place and what was moving. They formulated their moving plan, and how they'd load the moving truck, and quickly packed up and moved everything into the truck. The movers wrapped up all the big ticket furniture in blankets and taped it to avoid any dents/damage. They were also very polite, and asked for permission, when they needed a quick break (3 flights of stairs is a lot of work!). Once they we done, they drove over to Boston for the unload process. Again, they were very quick and efficient. We went through a walkthrough in the Boston house, for them to formulate what would go where, and off to the races they went. Some of the big ticket items (Queen size beds w/ headboards, antique hutches, dressers), I had concerns about fitting into bending stairways... they were able to alleviate. We had a large L shaped couch, they removed (and later put back on) the legs, and were able to navigate the tight turns going up stairs to make it fit! Once they were done with the move, they went over the cost breakdown one more time before payment (again no surprises from our end with it). I would highly recommend M&M Moving. Everyone we interacted with from their end, during this moving process, was very professional, nice, courteous, and efficient.

I called up Castle Self Storage and had the pleasure of speaking with Raquel who not only helped me conduct business via fax and email, she was professional and very friendly. One of the times I was in town, I went by the unit and was impressed with the facility itself. It's very secure, which was reassuring considering that I'm 2000 miles away for the moment. Later, I did have a question about privacy protection but all I had to do to was call Raquel who guaranteed me that there was never any reason to feel nervous about my name or my property being compromised. If you need extra storage space, either permanently or temporarily, I would absolutely recommend Castle Self Storage. Margaret West coast, but only for a minute.

The only guy we knew was in the Merrimack Valley area and the Saugus/Melrose/Lynnfield area was (understandably) too far for him to deliver. After seeing Tiger's reviews, we decided to give them a try. Unlike a few other local companies we had called, Will was extremely responsive, customer service oriented, and offered very competitive pricing. He delivered a clean, freshly painted dumpster to the house the very next day, and was completely understanding and flexible when we asked to keep it a few extra days on the back end. Plus, he was a very honest, kind, and friendly guy who responded to every text I sent in mere minutes. I wouldn't hesitate to call Tiger again for any dumpster needs and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area. PS I just want to be clear that this isn't one of those biased personal plugs. We live way up on the Northshore and this was our very first time having to rent a dumpster down in the Saugus/Melrose/Lynnfield area. We knew absolutely nobody and had to start the process from scratch. Will at Tiger exceeded our expectations and then some. (Not to mention Tiger will deliver all the way from Boston to Manchester, NH.) Don't bother calling anyone but Tiger the next time you need a dumpster!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Hingham Moving Services. This was my first big move across states from Boston to DC, and HMS made the transition as seamless as possible. Keith returned my initial inquiry within two minutes, and talked me through the entire process over the phone. Of the handful of companies I reached out to for a quote, HMS was by far the most personable, considerate, and accommodating, even ensuring me that they could hold my belongings for a day or two so that I could make the drive down to DC without needing to unpack the same day. Keith dropped off all of the packing supplies at my apartment in Cambridge a week in advance, and gave me helpful advice about how to reserve a space for a moving truck since I lived on a busy street. On the day of the move, Keith and his crew arrived exactly on schedule and wrapped up all of my furniture and (many) paintings with extreme care. The driver unloaded everything into my new apartment in DC two days later, and was extremely competent and kind, especially given the tight space he had to fit the truck into. He also insisted on unwrapping and setting up my couch and bed, and made sure that nothing was damaged in the process. This review is loooooong overdue, but I have to commend Keith and his crew who went above and beyond to help us with our second move in a 3 month period. Keith was very responsive and easy to communicate with from the moment I reached out about their services. He offered great suggestions on how to Prepare to make the move go as smoothly as possible. On moving day, his staff showed up early, were organized, and efficient. We faced some unexpected challenges with getting our old furniture into the new house because of narrow hall/stairways but, the crew was able to problem solve and work together to get the job done. And if that wasn't enough - moving day was the hottest day on record for the year (that lovely day in July when it felt like 105!) The crew was hard working, professional, and did not complain once through it all. We are so very thankful to have found them. I would highly recommend Keith and his crew! read more

Hingham Movers was the most professional moving company I've ever dealt with. Keith is an amazing manager and treats his people like family. He also treats his customers with the utmost respect and his business like you are the only person that matters. He is a true gentleman who puts his customers first. He is accommodating to every need and flexible to every situation. It is really refreshing to come across an person like Keith who takes pride in what he does and instills that honesty and integrity to all his employees. I rarely write reviews about companies I work with but the service I got from Keith and Hingham movers was exceptional! When my moving company cancelled on me they day of my move I called Hingham Movers in a panic and they were amazing! Within an hour of the call they had a truck at my house and had picked up all my belongings. They then expressed shipped them to my new location in MN. Keith was in contact with me every step of the way and I can not say enough good things about the service I received from him and the rest of his employees! I would recommend Keith and Hingham movers 100% and will certainly be telling all my friends and family to use the company in the future! read more

These guys were incredible. From the start, Keith was on top of it and more than accommodating. I felt comfortable with them after just one conversation. I also can't say enough about how great they were on the day of the move. They showed up on time, and were incredibly nice, professional, and respectable. Every piece of furniture they treated with extreme caution and detail. They were organized and efficient. From someone who has moved multiple times, they were far and above the best company we have worked with and I will 100% use them again regardless of where we are going. Some of them were clearly inexperienced. They were very inefficient with time (moving one single box by hand at a time, instead of loading a few more in a dolly). They did not lift boxes in such a way that would be safe for their own body, as well as our belongings (jumping down from the truck while carrying a big box). The movers arrived on time, were courteous and fair with their hours, but ultimately we feel that the business owners need to provide more training to their staff. If we were to move again, I would go with a different company that has a more solid record on efficiency and training.

At 8:30 I was told they would be a little late due to a truck breakdown. I did not hear back from them until 3:30, despite many calls/texts/emails, when I was told they could not come today. As it was a truck breakdown and out of their control I allowed them to reschedule for Sunday at 10:30 AM. At 9:17 AM on Sunday I get a text that they are finishing up their first job and then heading over. I did not hear from them again that day. Despite numerous phone calls, texts and emails throughout the day asking where they were I got no response. I had to call another mover last minute on a Sunday to cover what these guys could not. Incredibly upset by not only the lack of their services, but also their lack of communication. Had I known that they would not be showing up at all I could have made arrangements sooner to find a company that would follow through on their commitment to move me.
