Our family has used this company for multiples moves in the area because we trust them so much. Their prices are reasonable, workers are uniformly nice and careful, and communications are clear. Their estimating is very good and they're punctual. They just handled a move-out of one of our kids to an apartment in Cambridge and everything was perfect. I should add that we had previous bad experiences with a couple of local moving companies and are so grateful that we found Intelligent Labor & Moving. We recommend them to everybody! read more

Have used them twice. Exceptional service! We had several hundred books to move as well as several pieces of furniture that needed to be partially reassembled to move. They were right on time, super polite, and very efficient. Moved everything to the right rooms and even relocated some things when I realized they wouldn't fit. No damage to items. And the house we moved into still had very fresh wet paint - no marks on walls etc. I'm amazed at how organized they were. Even were able to help with some last minute things we weren't able to pack. Also we have four animals and they were very mindful to make sure they didn't escape or get in the way. I really hope I don't have to move for a long time, but if I do, I'll be using them! I shopped around and got the best quote from them premove as well. read more

My movers, Kency and Jean, were fantastic. They were incredibly polite, efficient, and got the job done so quickly! They were both very friendly and made the whole stressful process of moving that much better. Communication with the office beforehand was excellent - they even offered me some earlier time slots as they became available, which I appreciated. The actual cost of the move was lower than their initial estimate, which was great! The rate was incredibly reasonable and fair, and I'm just so grateful to have had everyone's help! I will recommend Intelligent Labor & Moving to all of my friends, and would not hesitate to use their services in the future. read more

We hired Intelligent Labor and Moving for our move from Brighton to Cambridge. Everything from the initial scheduling through the move day was clear and communicative. KP and his team were professional, friendly, and efficient, didn't complain or seem bothered by our narrow 3-flights of stairs or less than ideal parking situation. Things were wrapped and placed in the truck in a way we felt confident that our stuff was being taken care of. At the new place, they brought everything into the right rooms based on the boxes labels and even asked us where we wanted specific furniture pieces! There was a bit of a hiccup when something got damaged during the move but the management went above and beyond to make it right. This was my first time using professional movers and I will always go back to Intelligent Labor & Moving in the future! read more

I recently hired Intelligent Labor to move from Cambridge to Boston and was extremely happy with their service. It was a two day move; the first day to Boston and the second day to my storage unit. The first day's crew, Vinny, Ben, and Caleb, expertly wrapped and packaged my many paintings and gently carried my antique furniture down three flights of stairs. As we are still dealing with Covid, they brought box fans for the windows to circulate fresh air and wore masks whilst packing. The second moving day brought Caleb, Ben, and Ken to finish packing up and bringing the rest of the furniture and boxes to storage. This is the third time I have used Intelligent Labor (one job was a previous move and the other job was for a delivery of antique furniture) and will continue to do so as they make moving easy. read more

My partner and I were moving in together from our individual places in Somerville to one place together in Arlington. It was our first time having professional movers and Intelligent Labor's offering of a "greener" move and their affordability made them high on the list. Vinny, Jules and Larry did an amazing job of handling everything from people parked in our reserved spaces to third floor walk up couches. They were such a great group of guys and handled our items with such care and made my partner and I feel incredibly safe and comfortable. In and out it took around 5.25 hours and it was worth absolutely every penny. Next time I move I'll be using Intelligent Labor & Moving again. read more

I've used Intelligent Labor several times and will never use anyone else. They are super efficient, thorough and careful. None of my things were damaged. I'd recently hired another moving company for an interim more, because it was last-minute and Intelligent Labor had no slots. I will never hire anyone else again. They were terrible. I'm so glad friends recommended Intelligent Labor. They were great. read more

Amazingly competent and helpful! Move was smooth and efficient. Caleb and James were excellent: they knew their stuff, and were also funny. A good deal price-wise, too. Some confusion on the booking end of things, but after that was sorted out could not have been more pleased with the result. read more

Intelligent Labor moved me into my new place today. They did a ten star job. They moved my upright piano up a flight of stairs ten years ago with an efficiency that blew my mind. Today they moved it out just the same. They can handle heavy stuff no problem. They're clean, thoughtful, polite and fun and happy. They were fast and efficient and strong and helpful. I cannot sing their praises enough. I was at a loss how to pack my books and records. They not only gave me guidance, they helped me by packing some of them for me. Seriously, ten stars. Love these guys. They're worth every penny. The correspondence by email to set up the move was warm, informative and prompt. There's no other company I'll use. read more

Used these guys twice for moving: once locally and once for loading moving pods. Nothing but positive things to say about the crew and the company. Professional, friendly, gentle with out possessions and worked extremely quickly. Up front about pricing and what to expect. In addition, due to being masters of Tetras, they saved us $600 by packing so efficiently that we didn't need an extra moving pod. Highly recommend Intelligent Labor time and again. read more

Seriously awesome movers at a great price. We were so anxious with he big move coming up, but Caleb and James made it as smooth as possible. They arrived exactly when they said they would. They were very professional and courteous, and respected all our requests. They handled our stuff with great care. They would not leave until we were sure that we were completely done. Throughout the whole process, they were working non-stop and extremely efficiently. I seriously cannot recommend them enough. read more

Used Intelligent for a within-town move last week. They were professional, efficient, and friendly. Estimate provided ahead of time was accurate, the actual move was right on the low end of it. Would definitely recommend to anyone! Edit: a few days later I got a call -- a small item had been left on the truck by accident, which I hadn't yet noticed was missing. Intelligent Labor figured out (somehow) that it must have come from my move, confirmed the item was mine, and delivered it to me the next day. Accidents happen, five stars remains for their diligence and professionalism in addressing it. read more

Cannot recommend Intelligent enough! Their office is responsive and helpful with all sorts of questions, and the movers are just awesome - they take great care with moving and making sure they get everything in the right places. Not to mention, they helped us move IN THE MIDST OF A GLOBAL PANDEMIC! Thank you!!! read more

When I was first looking for movers three years ago, Intelligent Labor & Moving was the first result that came up in my search. They had a 5 star rating, and I figured that either everyone was lying or that they really were this good. It was the latter. I have used Intelligent Labor and Moving three times to move, and I have had wonderful experiences each time. I continue to recommend them to family and friends because they have been so helpful, professional and kind throughout the entire moving process. As long as I stay in the Boston area, I will never use any other moving company again. read more

I've used Intelligent Labor and Moving three times over the last couple of years. They've handled a truckload of furniture, moved my office, and took care of a 200 lb. glass tabletop with ease. Every job was handled with incredible professionalism. The crews were a pleasure to deal with, and quotes were on the money. I will definitely be using them again. read more

First time we used movers (third floor no elevator to a second floor with no elevators - local move, 1 bedroom apt) and Intelligent Labor were great. Scheduling was easy and movers showed up 15mins earlier than expected! Caleb and James were fast, efficient, friendly, and way more careful with our belongings (cheap IKEA) than we would've been. They wrapped and padded the furniture very well and got the job done way before the quoted time (3.75 hrs including the transportation time - however my boyfriend did help with some unloading/loading). All pricing quote is upfront (material supply, transportation from their warehouse to the site, between sites, and from the site back to the warehouse) and tip of course. We did get quotes from about 7 companies and they all seemed very similar (2 or 3 movers), but a friend had recommended we try Intelligent Movers. Glad we did. I would highly recommend using this company for a move. read more
