Small Haul moving vans

Honestly don't go to anyone else if you're moving apartments to and from Boston. Of all the services we researched, Small Haul's estimate was half of the nearest quote we received. From the beginning David was extremely helpful in scheduling our move and answering any questions we had. On moving day the team was punctual, courteous and efficient- even in 80+ degree weather. We moved from two 600 sqf 1 bedroom apartments to a 1200+ sqf 2 bedroom loft; they handled everything in one day. The estimate was dead on for both timing and cost- even after we realized we forgot an oversized mirror that we had to turn back and pick up. Don't get caught paying a big company that does big moves for big fees. Choose a team that specializes in services that match your move. I will be using and recommending Small Haul for all future moves. Thanks guys!

Stairhopper Movers - Honored to be recognized as one of Boston's top moving companies by Forbes Home Magazine!!!

Stairhopper Movers

Do yourself a favor and stop comparing different companies. Have had 3 moves over a decade with…read moreStairhopper and I won't go anywhere else. Timely, efficient, responsible, and insightful. Alec and Philippe did a great job. Highly satisfied. Alec offered suggestions for protecting items that I'm grateful for. Philippe did not quit. The move consisted of moving large items and a few boxes from small 1 BR apartment to a nearby storage unit. The back office made the quote process easy and my move came right in line with the quote. Not saying that will always happen but I had prepared ahead of time to secure parking, access, elevator, and loading dock. Do your homework! The care and professionalism is why I chose Stairhopper and have used this company for my prior moves !

I would strongly caution anyone considering Stairhopper Movers in Everett, MA, based on my…read moreexperience dealing with them after their movers damaged a 125-year-old stained-glass window at my rental property. My tenants had hired Stairhopper to move them out, and during the move, the crew broke a stained-glass window that is over 125 years old. Unfortunately, what followed was even more frustrating than the damage itself. My tenant contacted three stained-glass companies, but only one responded. The owner of that company came out to inspect the window and said he would email a repair estimate later. In the meantime, I contacted Stairhopper and asked to speak with the general manager. I was told the manager was unavailable and that I needed to obtain three estimates. By Friday afternoon, I had sent emails with photos to 10 different companies and called all 10. Every single one told me they were too busy with major projects to take on a small window repair. Despite my efforts, I could only obtain one estimate. On Tuesday, I spoke with a woman named Renata and explained the situation. I told her I had contacted 10 companies and could only get one estimate. She insisted that three estimates were required. After I pushed to speak with the general manager, I was told the information would be passed along and that I should submit the estimate I had. I did exactly that. The general manager, Derek, then accused me of being difficult and told me his insurance would handle the claim. I had no problem with that and simply asked for the insurance company's name and a claim number. Instead, I was given the insurance broker's contact information and told I would have to wait 24-48 hours for a claim number. By Friday, I still had not received one, so I called Derek to ask for an update. He began yelling at me, accused me again of being difficult, and hung up on me. At that point, I decided to drive to Stairhopper's office on Second Street in Everett to get the insurance information myself. While I was sitting in traffic, my wife found the insurance carrier's information, and I called the carrier directly to file a claim. To my surprise, the insurance company told me that no claim had been filed for the incident and that I was the first person to report the property damage for that address. The process of contacting the carrier and reporting the damage took me approximately 18 minutes. When I arrived at Stairhopper's office, Derek appeared caught off guard and continued blaming me for the situation. I explained that I needed to get the window repaired because I rent the apartment and cannot leave a damaged window boarded up indefinitely. His response was to ask me what I do all day that allows me to worry about a window. He then slammed the door in my face. This entire experience has been unacceptable. Accidents can happen, but a company's responsibility should be to address property damage professionally, communicate honestly, and make a reasonable effort to resolve the situation. Instead, I spent days chasing estimates, repeatedly calling for information, and ultimately filing the insurance claim myself. The damage to a 125-year-old stained-glass window was bad enough. Being treated this way while trying to resolve the issue made the experience significantly worse. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Stairhopper Movers. If something goes wrong during your move, consider carefully how the company handles the problem afterward. In my case, getting a straightforward insurance claim started became a frustrating ordeal that I should never have had to manage myself

It was very easy to schedule our move, they were very responsive and communicative and they gave an honest quote (which turned out to be accurate). When the day came, they arrived on time, were kind and respectful, and got the job done quickly without any issues or damages. We were impressed with how efficiently they worked disassembling things, and they also took care to put everything back together well in the new space. We were moving out of a ground floor apartment into a second floor walkup apartment with a wrapped staircase. We had a bunch of furniture, including a nice upright piano, and they handled all of it with ease. We would easily use them again next time we need to move and would recommend them to anyone else moving in the area.

I wish to add that I contacted at least six movers before finding Bostonia and they told me that they either didn't want to do a piano moving job, or simply didn't have the manpower. Gytis was the first person to say yes, and no problem. He has a can-do attitude and is easy and pleasant to work with. Always accessible by text throughout this process, Gytis kept in touch throughout. He and his team are respectful, friendly and reliable. Having used them for this minor (but heavy/tricky) move, I wouldn't think twice to use them again for any other move in the future and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who has any moving needs - big or small

We moved a 3 floor townhouse worth of big ticket furniture, boxes, and other odds and ends (such as an elliptical machine) near New Hampshire, to a 3 floor house in Boston. The quoting process and their inventory system process was a breeze to use, which helped them facilite the correct sized moving truck to be used. They were very accommodating with our moving period/schedule. The communication was very clear and concise, with very prompt responses via email whenever we had a question or concern. We honestly set it, and forget it until moving day arrived. The day before moving day, we received the timeframe window the movers would come. Day of the move, the truck and three movers came. They went over the cost breakdown with us again, so that there were no surprises for us (there were none!). We gave them a quick walk-through of our place and what was moving. They formulated their moving plan, and how they'd load the moving truck, and quickly packed up and moved everything into the truck. The movers wrapped up all the big ticket furniture in blankets and taped it to avoid any dents/damage. They were also very polite, and asked for permission, when they needed a quick break (3 flights of stairs is a lot of work!). Once they we done, they drove over to Boston for the unload process. Again, they were very quick and efficient. We went through a walkthrough in the Boston house, for them to formulate what would go where, and off to the races they went. Some of the big ticket items (Queen size beds w/ headboards, antique hutches, dressers), I had concerns about fitting into bending stairways... they were able to alleviate. We had a large L shaped couch, they removed (and later put back on) the legs, and were able to navigate the tight turns going up stairs to make it fit! Once they were done with the move, they went over the cost breakdown one more time before payment (again no surprises from our end with it). I would highly recommend M&M Moving. Everyone we interacted with from their end, during this moving process, was very professional, nice, courteous, and efficient.
