I hired them during the pandemic. Awful movers. The tall English guy with the tiny ponytail kept glaring at me suspiciously. They lost bolts to my dining table, so now it's wiggly. They broke a couple of things. I complained to the owner. I tried to set up a time with him to fix my table, but he kept whining about how he's gotta drive his kid to some sporting event. I only had that particular date and time off from work. I totally get that family is important but if you're an owner of a company, and your employees messed up, either you personally fix the problem or get your best employee to. Will not hire them again or recommend. read more

This company was referred to me and seems like a dream concept. I contacted them in a timely matter and they left me in the lurch. I made several attempts to contact Greg and he said he would get back to me, never did . I'm extending the time of contact to be dismal. When I spoke to Dave and reminded him of Greg and mine's conversation, he was like well you didn't speak to me and we're booked and basically had an attitude and hung up on me . So my memorial day is dedicated to Dave when I called three weeks ago you seemed eager for my business. If you have to use this business, speak to Greg bypass Dave he needs some serious training and Customer Service. read more

Highly recommend! I had a medical emergency with my elderly parents and needed to hire a mover on the spot to assist with moving bedroom furniture to first floor living. The owners worked with me to quickly send movers to help when I was in a crisis. They were incredibly kind and respectful. I have used Mini Moves & More three times in the past two years, once to move a business, and twice to move family members - they were fantastic! I also used them 12 years ago when my in-laws were downsizing from their home of 50 years to a condo in senior living. Mini Moves & More were So competent and So polite. The business move was super straight forward - and took a few hours. The second move involving moving my mother in law from her condo to a smaller assisted living unit went seamlessly - and they were very kind and sensitive to the emotionally packed situation. The third move was the most complicated - moving furniture from one home - offloading some furniture at the second home and loading more furniture from that house to drive to a third house over 100 miles away. They were so clear about the process and everything went onto the truck in an order to facilitate easy removal at the two locations. They are amazingly efficient, patient and careful - everything made it intact and everyone had a smile on their faces at the end of the process - that's quite an endorsement. read more

Mini Moves provided the best moving services I have ever experienced- and I have worked doing corporate furniture installations. They came recommended by 2 separate acquaintances. The experience: We moved from a 2 bedroom apartment in North Cambridge to a 3 story house in Arlington. Dave came and gave a reasonable quote. To do my due diligence, I quoted with another company and the price was double mini moves' quote. I confirmed w mini moves, with a $50 deposit. A week before my move I called to change my move date and they accommodated graciously and without a fee. Day of, three movers showed up on time(even 15 minutes early) and ready to work. Before they started, they walked the place to check out all the pieces and made a plan. Then they worked for 4 solid hours lifting heavy pieces. The team had the right equipment, worked together, were very experienced, professional and knew how to properly get heavy pieces around tight corners and up small staircases. The team and service were impressive. At the end, the move was below the quoted price. It was the best moving experience. I write this review because Mini Moves & More deserves praise and recognition for the outstanding services they offer. Kudos to Greg and his team at Mini Moves and More. No video walk-through, huge forms to fill out. Dave came initially to evaluate the job, we accepted the quote, and communication was made via email and phoning. They moved some furniture and household things from a house into an apartment, stored furniture, equipment, and documents, and then moved apartment and the stored items into another house. That our things were stored separately, not communally, factored largely into our decision to use Mini Moves and More, and everything was undamaged and clean when we received it. We had a good experience with Mini Moves last year when we needed a very heavy treadmill moved across town and brought up to a third-floor unit. My reasons for not giving five stars are because I needed to communicate with them via voicemail as no one answered the phone both to schedule the appt and for day of move questions. We had been given a window for the move which the company missed and it was important to get updated info as I was coordinating with another party to purchase the treadmill. I was also told that I would be called before they arrived as it was not my house they were going to. But they showed up without notice so I needed to rush across town. When I questioned the timing of their pick up the movers said that they had been given a different timeframe. Ultimately everything worked out, and the movers did a fantastic job. But a little more communication would have been helpful. read more

I called Mini Moves this past week to check on availability. I left a message with detailed information, requesting they call me back. I called back about four hours later. A gentleman picked up the phone, asked if I was the one who left message earlier. I confirmed that was me. At that time he told me he was on the other line and get back to me in 10 minutes. It is now four days later, and they never followed up. I suggest if they would like to keep their reviews positive, then they take the five minutes for a return call, say yes, or no to job you are requesting. This would then leave customers comfortable with feedback, and the choice to try them for future jobs or recommend them. This is a MAJOR FAIL for this business. read more

I Asked for a quote from this company. 4 Pieces of furniture, that I moved with a 2 wheeler previously (With 2 of them) and 2 I carried on my own with my son. Belmont to Watertown (about 2 miles) This is the response I got "Thanks for looking into Mini Moves and More. From what you described we would send a two man crew along with our 16ft truck to take care of your moving needs. I estimate your move taking 3-4 hours and costing $645." . This is more than twice the priced of everyone else who responded. Instead of saying they aren't interested in the job they are blowing out the length of time it will take to perform the job. If you hire them I would not only watch that they are working, I would record them. read more

WIth only three days notice, George over at Mini Moves managed to find a mutually convenient time to move my daughter from Allston to Cambridge. It's not easy finding a professional, affordable (and most importantly, not "sketchy") moving company for such a short haul. The guys were courteous, professional, and didn't waste a minute. After calling around taking bids, I can honestly say they were right in the middle. But their service surpassed our expectations by far. It was worth EVERY PENNY. A few items too heavy for myself to tackle without risk of damage, either to the items or myself. The two guys arrived on time and were very professional and careful. These guys are awesome. Needed to move a new (used) fridge from my garage to my second floor. After a first attempt failed up the narrow stairs, they returned another day to hoist it over the deck. I went online and filled out the form to get a quote on a simple move from one state to another. I get a text that asked for the zip codes from where to where. I get a response that we can not help you since its with in the same state. Obviously I texted back stating it isn't in the same state. I get another response stating they do not go to that state. When in their own website it says it does. read more

These guys are awesome. I called them on a Friday at 9 AM for a move Saturday morning. They showed up promptly, complete the loading with little direction and delivered the load quickly. Mini Moves became a life saver in getting my mom into an Assisted Living Facility. I spoke with Greg late on Thursday looking for a Saturday time slot, they were able to accommodate me with a 8AM start time. At 7:59 Chris and Brian showed up and got right to work. They were very careful with anything and worked very efficiently. We were packed and loaded in just an hour and they were just as efficient on the other end.
