Fourth time I've been there this year. And it was a disappointment. Usually we get ribs, which are absolutely perfect. This last visit we got steaks. A ribeye and a sirloin. Both were fair. Our server was also the bartender and was very slow to deal with us. Plus, got the order slightly wrong, but not worth returning the food. The ribs are so good that we will go back but a real shame about the steaks. They should be able to do better than that. My sirloin was not tender nor flavorful and a little overcooked.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Place needs some remodeling inside, feels very dated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food was pretty good, probably not going to blow your mind though. Ribs were very saucy. Service was excellent. Is definitely a convenient place if you're staying in the attached hotel.

Steak medallion covered with asiago cheese sauce, and baby back ribs
    Courtney F.

Went to this restaurant for an anniversary dinner. Ordered the steak medallions. And hubby ordered the steak medallions and half a rack of baby back ribs. The steak medallions was more on the tough side with little flavor . The baby back ribs had no flavor just a lot of sauce. The best thing was the green beans and the mashed potatoes that came with the meal. We did enjoy the drinks from the bar. I had a piña colada and my husband had an old-fashioned. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, the ambience was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I give it three stars because of the flavor and toughness of the meat. I will probably not come back to the establishment because of those reasons . It's overpriced for what we received.

This chain restaurant is tucked away in the Delta Hotel in RTP. Staying in the hotel, it fit the bill for us for dinner. We were given a comfy booth and had very friendly service, good drinks and food and prices were surprisingly not as high as we thought they might be since prices weren't on the online menu. Husband had a burger which he very much liked. I had the shrimp scampi which was good, but very plain. Would have loved some spinach or something like that in it. The amazing part was the brownie sundae. I'm not a brownie or a sundae person, but let me tell you, it's a killer dessert!

The food was great, the service was subpar (our waitress was very inattentive), and the ambiance is very bright and inviting (a welcomed change from the heavily dimmed restaurants). It is a nice and casual family friendly restaurant. They accept reservations as well, which I would highly recommend if you have a large party. We enjoyed the ribs (falling off the bone!), green beans, and fries, and chicken alfredo florentine. The food arrived at the perfect temp and everything tasted so fresh. We ordered the brownie bites with Oreo ice cream to go and it was the perfect dessert to end the night. This location is attached to a Marriott hotel so there is plenty of parking. I would definitely return to try their bbq trio, nashville hot chicken sandwich, or any of their delicious looking cocktails. They have a full bar area open for seating as well. Cons: They do not list their non alcoholic beverages, sides, nor do they have a kids menu on the main menu (not sure if they have one at all). We wanted something other than sweet tea (lemonade maybe) but that is all they had.

    Fried Mozzarella Sticks

Was staying in the hotel upstairs and ordered fried mozzarella sticks and a side of Mac and cheese for takeout. I tried calling a few times but wasn't able to get through on the phone so I ended up heading downstairs to order in person. Wait was about 20 minutes for takeout. Pretty average (no cheese pulls here) but definitely hit the spot.

RTP is a tough place to find places for lunch and dinner sit down. My friend asked me to lunch at TR and I remember this place for PacNW. We had great food and service at lunch. Lunch portion nice chicken with Chicken Alfredo Florentine was so tasty! So good I came back with my husband for dinner! Much busier still great service, drinks and food. It's a bit bright lighting to set a more romantic mood but still really great. It definitely a chain but I appreciate an alternative steak, seafood and chicken place in RTP! And the servers are so sweet! Hey Sandra and Natasha!

Discovered Tony Romas was in Durham. Last time I ate at one was in Las Vegas years ago. I had to try this one. I thought the ribs were good, good flavor, no fatty bits, but weren't exactly fall-off-the-bone. The salad was very good. My brother-in-law got a Bloody Mary which he said was very good. The decor is very modern, not like the old Vegas restaurant. I think this is a cool addition to the area and will definitely go back and try again. I recommend making reservations.

We sat outside this day, as the weather was mild and there wasn't any available seats inside. We ordered a fried combo and a grilled combo. TrySeafood does a lot of things right. Portion size was fairly generous. We especially love the fact they serve cleaned jumbo shrimp. Food was cooked well, shrimp was tender as was scallops. The broccoli was not tender crisp nor mushy. The potatoes and corn were delicious. While service was friendly, it was a bit slow. Also, I'm not an Old Bay fan. The grilled shrimp were seasoned with Old Bay. While the fish was crispy, I prefer a cornmeal dredge to a flour dredge. Finally, (and this could have been a me thing) the tip percentage on the screen doesn't align with the math. I intended to tip 15% - which is standard especially considering slow service. That should have been approx $8 and when I got home I realized it was approximately $16. You're not given a printed receipt and if you're in a rush and going through the process quickly it's easy to miss. Again I may have missed something, but I'm pretty sure I selected the %15 option. Additionally, I've seen other restaurants that have intentionally include this practice. Would I go again, sure. I'd request a different seasoning blend or a light seasoning and check that math! Our experience started on a gracious note before we even arrived. My friend had made the reservation, but a change in our schedule meant we needed to adjust the time. The team was incredibly accommodating and kind, making the switch without any fuss. When we arrived, we were greeted at the door and seated almost immediately. The restaurant unfolds into several distinct dining areas, each with its own feel. We were seated in a corner near the window, tucked toward the back of the restaurant, which ended up being the perfect spot for catching up over dinner. Our server was warm, attentive, and genuinely sweet throughout the evening. We had already studied the menu, so there wasn't much deliberation once we sat down. We started with cocktails. I ordered the Deep Current and asked to swap the blanco tequila for mezcal. As someone who loves mezcal, I was looking forward to that unmistakable smoky depth, but it never really arrived. I'm not entirely sure whether the substitution was made or whether the mezcal simply disappeared among the other ingredients, but it wasn't apparent in the drink. The cocktail program may be one area with a little room to grow, particularly if you're someone who enjoys spirits with a more pronounced presence. The food, however, was a different story. We ordered the ceviche, whole fish, and jasmine rice to share, and everything that arrived at the table was flavorful and delicious. The whole fish was especially satisfying alongside the rice, and the meal had the kind of balance that makes sharing several dishes feel like the right decision. As the evening went on, Nerra began to fill. Tables became animated, conversations grew louder, and laughter seemed to move through the room. There was an easy happiness to the space that made you want to linger a little longer. Even as the restaurant became busier, it remained clean, polished, and well maintained. A practical note before you go: there are paid lots surrounding the restaurant, which may be your easiest option. Street parking can be a bit more challenging, although both my friend and I managed to find spots nearby. Nerra gave us a genuinely lovely evening: gracious service, a beautiful atmosphere, and food worth returning for. The cocktail may not have delivered the smoky mezcal moment I was hoping for, but dinner certainly did. And perhaps that's the best measure of a restaurant: before you've even left, you're already planning your return. Next time, I'm bringing my husband.

So we were near the end of brunch/lunch and before dinner. The restaurant itself is really quaint and I just loved the decor. Staff was warm and friendly. Our waitress was Patience and she was AMAZING! We started with the vegetable tempura and we also tried the calamari. Now I will admit I wanted to stab my husband in the back of his hand with my fork for wanting me to share that tempura. It came with blackened ranch which I have never head of, but it was outstanding. I tend to be super sensitive to salt, and I found the Calamari slight salty. It is one of the primary reasons I don't opt for fried foods. Somewhere there was a memo that say if it's fried, go ahead and OVER SALT it. I will never understand. I had the Sesame Cruisted Tuna with brussel sprouts and my husband had the Golden Crusted Platter. I did not have one complaint about my entree. It was cooked to perfection, and I just enjoyed it to the last bite. I did taste my husband's dish and it was fried and it was salty. More so than the Calamari HOWEVER, he loved it and he did say it was just slightly salty for him, so ya know, it's probably me lol. His broccoli though...it had a grilled flavor to it but no grill marks. How they did it I don't know, but I had to steal a couple off his plate because he owed me for eating my tempura. ha! I rarely drink but I had a glass of wine and my tequila guy has a blood orange margarita! He loved it and that was a recommendation from Patience. Thanks Sis! All said, I only took a point off of this review for the salt. I just think chef's should know better and be careful that it's not too much. A little salt goes a long way and when in doubt, just leave some space for us to salt our food at the table, You can add, but if it's overdone, it ruins the dish. Otherwise, I will go back and try it other menu items! Tempura and then something different lol. The good news is I want to go back and sure, you go ahead and try it too. I think this one is a winner.

Nice atmosphere inside, but recommend reservations as they fill up quickly. The Deets: Some friends/coworkers and I decided to catch up over a meal and we decided on trying out this location of Cape Fear Seafood Co. on Lake Pine Drive. I had been to the one located in the Village District (formerly Cameron Village) of DTR in the past and knew of this one opening up through Yelp. If you know me, I am usually not one for seafood but remember I had a pretty good experience at the one in DTR. We noted that it would be a good idea to have a reservation so one was made. Good thing, this place gets crowded fast, even around the 5pm point. Upon arrival, we were promptly shown to a table with menus. While walking in, this restaurant has that beach type feeling with brightly painted areas and subtle pelagic decor without going overboard. The bar area gave a warm, inviting vibe. Back to the menu, their menu is pretty expansive but not over the top multiple pages. I think even the non-seafood lover can find something to like here. We started with hush puppies for the table and I went with the appetizer sized mini crab cakes for myself. I loved the mini crab cakes and the lemon beurre blanc sauce with them, just enough for a starter and tasted great. The hush puppies were good as well but just a tiny bit too brown for me, they were a little bit more done than I'd like. I like them more of a golden finish instead of brown, just my preference. For my main dish, I went with their Cape Fear Shrimp & Grits. They are a pretty popular choice here and I remember liking them at the DTR location. They remained a great choice, they were delicious. They are very flavorful and enjoyable without being spicy, which I like as I am non-spicy food person and it seems most everywhere does their shrimp & grits spicy. I find this take on them refreshing. I would have liked more cheese grits in the serving as it seems to be like a half serving, however the shrimp as well as the creamy sauce were plentiful. Service did a good job here, checking on us periodically. In all, I liked this experience here at Cape Fear Seafood Co. for the most part and would enjoy visiting again in the future.

We started with the salt and pepper calamari which had a great balance of mala spice. It was delicious and set high expectations for the rest of the meal. We mainly came for the Peking duck which was honestly just ok, especially considering the price. I thought it'd come with more meat, most of the duck was skin which also seemed to be sweeter? than usual. We also got the century egg Napa cabbage which seemed very overpriced and under flavored. Our waitress mentioned it was a new item, so it may be refined in the future. Giving 4 stars for the experience. Missed our waitress' name, but she was great and made the experience even better.
