Great food. Fast friendly service. Very clean. I am very picky about Mediterranean foods. They are the best in Burbank. read more

I called and placed an order for their Tonir plate which serves 5 to 7 people on Wednesday and before I tell you how amazing the food, the generosity, the service and the staff were let me tell you they use quality meats because I warmed up the leftovers today And they still tasted amazing. Must try this place. Best Armenian kebab in Burbank. Hands down. Ask for Margaret. She's so sweet. She gave me a free appetizer for my birthday then surprised me by not taking money for the entire order. A giving business is a growing business. Always give to grow. Be generous with your staff, your budget and your customers and you'll never stop growing. Keep serving Armenian hospitality like no other. Thank you. read more

I love Tonir! Their food quality is always fresh and delicious. I prefer their Chicken and Beef Lule Kebabs while my boyfriend prefers their traditional Chicken Shish Kebab. Their regular hummus in my opinion is better than the Jalapeno hummus they offer. Their cucumber yogurt is amazing as well. The Greek salad is always delish as well. Service can be kind of slow but if you want fresh made to order food the wait times are long everywhere. We prefer mom and pop shops like Tonir over the bigger more know places and we highly recommend it. read more

I was walking by and saw the yelp reviews so I went in. I got a beef lule lavash wrap and a blue moon on draft. The wrap was amazing! Next time I want to try a different bbq. This spot is definitely worth it. read more

Chicken kabobs, rice, hummus all good. Heavier on the spices than I personally like, but it was cooked very well. Not the friendliest service so will likely just get to go next time. Nice selection of drinks and restaurant was clean. read more

I am so unimpressed after hearing about how great Tonir is. I thought I ordered the chicken breast plate and they brought me all dark meat. I did not eat any of it and sent it back for a chicken breast plate to go. I just got back home and opened it up and there was chicken breast on top of a pita so I can't read it because I'm gluten-free. Thanks Tonir for charging me an extra $8 for something I can't eat. I called and they are not picking up the phone. I am NOT happy AT ALL and I'm starving and cranky!! They are jam packed and I can't figure out why everyone thinks Tonir is such a great restaurant???? I will give 3 stars for the chicken breast that didn't touch the pita bread. It is very tasty and flavorful. I wish I could've eaten more of it but it was touching the glutenous pita bread. :( read more

Very cool place tucked in an Industrial area. Real authentic food. I love their Lule dish, Hummus, and garlic sauce. Great service also. Give this place a try! read more

Food is consistent. Service no complaint. Ambiance was a cafe togo order type. I love Lula chicken kabob so good a must try

Found this place with the help of fellow Yelpers. Staying nearby for a studio visit and looking for a nice meal at a non-chain place. The menu has plentiful options to choose from. We got a beef shish salad and a chicken breast & beef lule kabob plate with hummus and tabule. The meats were all flavorful and perfectly cooked. The seasonings were mouthwatering. The tabule was fresh and had a pleasant little kick to it. The hummus was smooth and heavier on the tahini side. The flatbread was thin and soft. We all enjoyed the food very much. Our server was friendly and helpful. The interior is simple and casual. Seems most people order to go since COVID, but they used to have live music. Go check it out, bring a group and stay for a great meal! read more

I was starving while heading home and really craving pork. After a quick google search I found this gem! I placed an online order at 6:30 (and they close at 7) which even I felt bad to do since I also work in customer service. But their friendly and efficient service was greatly appreciated and the food was great! I highly recommend this place and thank you Tonir cafe for a wonderful evening experience! Also, thank you for offering pork dishes! lol most places seldom offer it. It was very flavorful and highly recommend the ribs! read more

Best hummus, friendly service! Food is always fresh and the meat is delish. My favorite middle eastern/armenian food!

Finally! A Mediterranean restaurant that has not only juicy and tasty kababs, but actual portion sizes! Every other place is expensive and you leave unsatisfied. Not this place. I believe it was the owner who helped us this evening and she was lovely and accommodating as well. My husband picked up our order and we liked the fact she checked if he was there for our food instead of just letting anyone take it. All of the food we ordered was absolutely delicious. So glad we came across this restaurant. read more

This is my favorite Mediterranean spot. The I get the lule combo with salad and rice every time and I can't get enough. They get busy for lunch but the staff is always friendly and helpful. I haven't had a bad meal here. The decor is nothing special but the food is worth it, off the beaten path in an industrial area. You won't regret stopping here! read more

Was at Costco shopping and wanted some good Mediterranean food. Found this small hole in the wall. Food is delicious and has great flavor. The service was excellent and fast. Never had seen this place before and it's a bit hard to spot but if you decide to come you will be satisfied! forgot to take a pic of the food but it's was delicious, one bad note is all the styrofoam they use to serve everything. But other than that it was GREAT! read more

*Back Story* A while ago, driving through Burbank we had noticed several Armenian stores, restaurants, etc. So, we had been meaning to visit one of these spots. It never materialized due to one reason or the other. I was visiting one of our customers on San Fernando road. After the meeting, hunger bug bit me. I googled and went to Tonir Cafe. I parked my car, went in, took the employee recommendation (Beef Lule), made into an a la carte order w/ 4 different meats and an ethnic drink. Food was served on a Pita bread. I received a Pita bread on the side as well. All the meats were good. The Beef Lule is a must try. There is adequate amount of aromatic spices that give the meats a nice punch. The meats were all well cooked and served piping hot. Trying la carte will be a good value for your money. Service by the employee was also very good. The old observation that "Monday's are slow at restaurants" is not applicable to this restaurant. At least not from the activity and the amount of patrons at this joint before lunch time. The tables were all occupied and there were several takeout orders also that were fulfilled in the 30 minutes I was at this restaurant. They must be doing something good. This is a must try restaurant! read more

Don't judge a restaurant by its cover! The meat here is so juicy and flavorful. We got the chicken and beef lule as well as the steak. So good! Eggplant caviar is delicious! The hummus was meh but I'm coming again to try everything else. Highly satisfied today! read more

This hidden gem has a delicious variety of very fresh food! And while everything is reasonably priced, the lunch specials are exceptional! The quality of the food is quite high -- I'm very picky about my salads, and Tonir has very fresh, flavorful ones. The service is fast, and did I mention the food is excellent? It is also a quiet place for lunch; unlike some restaurants, they don't blast you with music you didn't ask for at a volume you don't want. You actually get to enjoy your company and your lunch. This is a low-profile, unassuming place that may 'slip under the radar' for the foodies in the area, but it's absolutely a treat. read more

Take out/ delivery was great! Had the chicken breast, Greek salad, rice and naan. It was delicious! Delivery was fast and friendly.

Driving down a busy industry road next to the train tracks, you will find this hidden gem. Walking in you will see disco lights at first glance that will make you think maybe you have walked into the wrong place for a quick bite. Yet you are about to be blown away by the meals they produce. Everything is handcrafted and over the top with flavors. From their jalapeño humus to the garlic sauce like no other. This place makes delicious meals at fair prices, definitely give this small family-owned business a chance read more

Found Tonir Cafe on Yelp and there is a reason they have so many great reviews. We ordered for pickup and tried the following plates: chicken lule, chicken breast, salmon and beef lule. Everything was delicious! The food was ready for pick up in 15-20 minutes (30-45 minutes for delivery, which is free with min $15 & within 3 miles) Try the jalapeño hummus. Plenty of street parking. We will definitely order again. Closed on Sundays. read more

I got the Beef Shish Kabob with Greek salad, rice, and French fries and one word - DELICIOUS! The meat was so tender and flavorful, the rice had lots of good flavor, the seasoning on the fries was great, and there was a good dressing on the salad. They made my order quickly and were so kind when I went to pick it up. I can't wait to come back and would recommend anyone check them out! read more

I love this place. They make the most delicious Greek salad. Also, their tabbouleh is also made with fresh ingredients. The taste of their food is simply amazing. The eggplant caviar is also a wonderful and tasty dish. I love the service and quality of food here. Very healthy and yummy . read more

We hadn't been to Tonir Cafe since before the pandemic and were very pleased to see that they survived and were now open for indoor dining. They do not have space to build/make an outdoor patio area, so we were concerned they might not open. We went late afternoon on a weekday. Only a group of 3 were seated. They no longer have servers. You place your order, it's served in a styrofoam takeout container, you get your drinks from the refrigerator next to the bar. They call you to get your food along with plastic utensils or extra plates if you request. The food is still delicious. Their Greek salad is the best! Everything is fresh and the dressing is on the acidic side which I prefer. They did some remodeling/painting while they were closed. It looks very nice. Not as "fancy" looking as before- no tablecloths, but no matter. We go for the food and will continue to do so. One thing that concerned me was that none of the employees wore masks or gloves. I realize our state is open, but it was a little disconcerting. read more

Came here twice since it's near the Burbank airport, once many years ago. It's better than I remembered! My sis & I both got a beef & lamb lule plate. We loved it! So flavorful! Owners are super friendly! Ambience is simple, nothing special but works if you're looking for a good meal either going or returning on a trip! read more

Went back today as I didn't want to cook or clean for lunch. Needed some good kebabs and went again to Tonir. I decided on a whim to spend more for the lamb chop combo. I was totally surprised. Maybe some of the best lamb chops I've ever had. Great seasoning that doesn't overwhelm the meat. I did not have to dip it in yogurt sauce I ordered I'm generally not into lamb chops because most times it's not prepared well or not enough meat. This was not a problem here. I have to say this may be the best thing they make here, and they do other kebabs here too notch. I think for the noho-burbank-glendale area Tonir makes a case as the best kebab place, rivaling the more fancy Raffis(who has a larger menu and huge pricier plates)Certainly for the price Tonir is top. read more

Great hole in the wall family own restaurant. Excellent food, definitely recommend the beef luleh and shish kabob from here. Good competitive prices for a good amount of fresh food. Food was great and the servers were nice. I got takeout but ended up eating at the bar. Chicken was tender and juicy flavor was perfect, rice was fresh and I can tell they made it there instead of using precooked rice. read more

It was OK. The chicken was a little rubbery, otherwise it was a good size plate and it was delicious. The service was great.

Tucked away in an unassuming industrial area of Burbank, Tonir cafe serves one of the best mediterranean foods I have ever tasted. I've had the Chicken Breast plate twice. The meat is so tender, juicy and tasty. I rarely eat any raw onions but the ones they serve with the chicken are spectacular together. You can get your plate with rice but I ordered mine with the salad. Every bit is so satisfying. It comes with 2 sides and I've had their hummus and eggplant caviar. It is so good with the pita bread, or dip the chicken in it....you really can't go wrong. The wait for the food is quite long, expect to wait anywhere between 15-25 mins. They are really cooking your food in the back. It is worth it so make sure you allow plenty of time to come here. There is plenty of parking outside but be careful crossing the street. **HIGHLY RECOMMENDED** read more

I crave this food all the time. They dont make it anywhere else the way they do here. My favorite is the chicken kabob plate. Its so much food that I usually split it into two meals for the day. Been going here for 8 years now! read more

I read about Tonir on a website that listed notable places to eat in Burbank and it was REALLY good. It seems like largely a lunch place. When I showed up at 6:30pm to pick up my order there was NO ONE in the restaurant. I was very worried. Between my buddy and me, we ordered the lamb chops, the chicken lule, and the beef lule. The lamb chop was incredible. It was crisped on the outside and medium rare on the inside. Totally juicy and flavorful! The beef lule which appears to be their signature was good but didn't stand out as much as the other items. The chicken however had great flavor and was super juicy. The pita on top was also delicious and eggplant caviar was incredible. In the future I would order the lamb chops and chicken lule combo plate. If you go with the salad instead of the rice or fries on the combo plate it's pretty healthy since they give you a large serving of salad. Be aware that the restaurant closes at 7pm and last call for orders is at 6:30pm. read more

Stopped in on our road trip home to San Diego. Found a great review near the freeway and this place was great! Greek salad has a very unique spice on top.
