Came to the airport and stumbled upon this place. It looked dead from outside but surprised to see a quite few people inside considering it was around 3 pm. We tried the chicken & beef lule combo and the chicken & pork kabob combo. Combos came with a choice of rice or fries, and grilled veggies or appetizers which are mainly dips for the pita bread. We tried yogurt dip, hummus and eggplant. They give you a lot of food and the food was good. Kabobs were a bit dry and not the best I've had but it did the job. The dips weren't overly seasoned. And I enjoyed their Armenian coffee very much. The lady was very nice and attentive. We left here happy. read more

This is one of my very favorite Valley lunch spots! The service is fast and efficient. Everything on the menu is delicious, fresh and comes out fast. The prices are great, there's great parking, the staff are friendly and helpful and if you need a line item receipt they have that too. I tell all my work friends to go here. You should too, but beat the rush and come just a tick before 12. I work my way around the menu because I often come two times a week. After all the great reviews on yelp, my friend and I decided to check it out this place. At first it looks a bit sketch and it's definitely a hole in the wall with nothing really around it except for closed down businesses it looks like. We were the only ones there for the 2.5 hours we were in the restaurant. The service was OK. There were ones where we waited a long time to get our orders in, our beverages, and even the check, etc. We were the only ones there too, odd. The food was good. Not very many veggie options and there are no main entree veggie options. I ordered two appetizers because of that, the hummus and pita and the grape leaves. Both were delicious. My friend had beef shish kabob which she said was delicious as well. The entrees come with quite a bit of food, including fries and two smaller versions of appetizers if you want them. Overall, weird atmosphere. But the prices and food quality got them the 4 stars. read more

This place is pretty legit. Most Mediterranean kebab places state they are Armenian, but they aren't; they are some variation like Lebanese or Egyptian or Persian. This place has the kebab flavor of an Armenian restaurant from Armenia (at least the exact flavor I experienced 3 years ago on my trip there). I ordered a la carte; chicken shish, beef shish, lamb chop, with 2 sides of garlic and an Armenian coffee for lunch. I'd definitely recommend this place. The meat was on point, juicy and very flavorful. The only issue I had was getting there, gps had me rolling around in circles twice. But that has nothing to do with the quality of food... My work place decided to order form Tonir Cafe today for lunch and it was very good. We all orders the beef plate which came with rice, fries, and some salad. All the ingredients were fresh!!! The beef was perfectly cooked still being juice and tender. The rice was not dry like most other places and the salad was very refreshing!! So it seems very slow and dead kinda place from outside, I almost just thought to myself that it might be closed or not that good. But I was wrong there was a lot of people enjoying there amazing and delicious kabobs and so did I. So I tried there Lula kabob shawarma and it very good. It was juicy and delicious. I'd give this place a 4.5 actually. It may be a my new go-to place when I'm in the Burbank area. Food: The food is so tasty and the portion sizes are great. I got the chicken kabob, which comes with rice and with two sides (hummus and french fries). It was more than enough food and I had no complaints. It also came with pita bread. Delivery: It didn't take too long for them to deliver. I would say it was an average amount of time; around 35-45 minutes. They also made sure to include utensils, which I've found a lot of places don't do anymore. read more

We've been meaning to go to the Tonir Cafe for a long time now and finally went tonight (Saturday). It was absolutely delicious! The Chicken Kabob, Chicken Lule Kabob, basmati rice, and their jalapeno hummus was soooo good! Oh, and the lemonade was a perfect balance between sweet and tart. This place has such good food. I ordered the Chicken Breast Sandwich- it came with plenty of chicken, lettuce, tomato, and this white sauce. It was like so flipping good! But, the reason I just had to write a review is because of the Nutella Cheesecake. Probably the best cheesecake Ive ever had?? It was so good- tasted fresh and delicious. I really love this place. The food is really really good. The read for the four instead of five stars, there's a guy that works there that seems moody. He runs hot and cold. The very first time, he seemed nice, the next couple of times in a bad mood. He snapped at me regarding a drink I ordered, to grab it from the display fridge. I looked at him like "you might want to rethink the direction your going". He seemed to have caught himself. I haven't been back since. Kind of ruined my experience. I am not sure why this place has so many 4 and 5 star reviews. I came here because I was craving mediterranean food and this place was close to my office. The reviews were so good that I thought I would give it a chance. I ordered the chicken breast kabob, hummus, greek salad, rice and pita. This was the meal they offer. The chicken was the only good part of the meal. The menu says that you get the chicken, choice of rice or salad and two appetizers as sides. I was expecting a larger side than the two small cups in the clamshell (to-go box). The hummus and the pita bread had absolutely NO flavor...how does pita have no flavor? The "dressing" on the greek salad was nothing but cheap oil and while the rice was cook well enough once again it was oily and bland. It took the menu as an option for other people in the office and could not bring myself to put it out to share. There are so many good places in Burbank for Mediterranean that I will not be back here. read more
