I have to be honest I was excited to try this place. Everyone said it was the best chicken parm. I thought it was ok, I wasn't like oh my god. Wings were good tho!
My friend told me about the popular Buns and Bites influencers trying it out, so then I tried it out too. The portions are HUGE which is great, and the chicken parm comes with two hearty sides. So a friend and I were able to share the whole meal. This was great on my wallet because the whole meal costed me personally 12 dollars! Driving up to the location you may think you're lost, but you're in the right place, it's like an old fashioned venue location. Inside they have office chairs at the bar!??! It seems like this location draws in the older crowds as my friends and I were definitely the youngest in the place. The server was SO nice! I'd come back here to try the tortellini!
RI Food Fight- Lord of the Wings 2025 Review: Pink Vodka Wings. One of the reasons I appreciate Tomaselli's is the variety of wing flavors like pink vodka sauce wings! I haven't encountered this anywhere else. When i have wings, I am looking for a punch of flavor to enhance the wing. The pink vodka needed a little something, maybe even salt. It had a nice flavor but subtle. Their garlic parm and BOURYAKI are DELICIOUS! So may flavors to try, not enough time...
This was our first stop for the RI food fights wing challenge. We got the buffaque and they were amazing, just the right amount of crisp and they were bursting with flavor. We sat at the bar and immediately felt like we were in an episode of cheers. Everyone knew each other and were super welcoming to us first timers. We also got the chicken parmigiana dinner which could easily feed a family of four, came with two sides. We are already making plans to go back next week for wing night.
A casual location for a good meal. I had the eggplant Parmesan and my husband had the chicken Donatella and both were delicious. Portions were large so we both took leftovers. The service was excellent. They had live entertainment as well.
Who even knew this place existed? I didn't. Set in the Silver Lake section of Providence this place is part Elks club (that's the vibe it gives off) and part shooting location for a gangster film. Half expected to see two guys lugging an overly large and awkward bag out to the dumpster. But they're participating in Lord of the Pies so I popped in to check out their pizza and I was unexpectedly surprised at how good their pizza was. Mike was behind bar and explained his family owns and runs it. Very friendly and generous. And who doesn't want to sit in an executive office chair at a bar! Cool place. Gotta come back
I love this place, their wings are so damn good and creative. However, I ordered chicken parm($18.89) and I was disappointed. Yes, it's massive but it was chewy and tough. The first bad sign was when I couldn't cut it with a fork, then there was some resistance with my knife as well. The bottom 1/2 of the chicken was under cooked in spots as seen in one of my photos. Not sure what went wrong because all the Yelp reviews on the dish say it tastes great and is juicy. Hopefully they don't freeze their chicken or re-heat it, but maybe I just got a bad cut. I'll be back again though, especially for those wings.
I visited Tomaselli's for the RI Food Fights burger competition. Parking is outside the venue in a small strip. I was a little thrown off by the event hall. Upon entering, I see many empty fancy white tables. My first instinct was to walk out because of how weirdly empty it was. All I could think was, "Am I in the right place?" Further in, there is a small bar with people watching three large flat screens. My first impression was employees on their break. Someone noticed me and I was told that was where you sat for food. Definitely very different. Walking over I noticed the bar was surrounded with puffy comfortable computer chairs. It was the most comfortable bar seats I every sat in. It was definitely the most interesting bar set up I've ever seen. The servers were incredibly nice and must get the awkward "am I in the right place?" question from people often. They have a pretty big menu and a long list of burgers. I ordered the Salt Late Islander. The burger was topped with bacon, american cheese, lettuce, tomato and thousand island dressing. The patty tasted exactly like a giant meatball. It was surprisingly very juicy and seasoned very well. I definitely enjoyed the burger. I wouldn't expect good food from a place like this. I thought it would be cheaper quality. I'm glad I decided to stay and try the food. I am curious to try more from their menu. I heard they have some of the best wings in RI. Now that I know where to go, I might make that my next meal.
I have eaten here a couple of times. It is a bit deceiving when you first walk in because it is also appears to be an event hall so it looks unlike a traditional restaurant. Don't run out, stay because it is worth it. I have had the Bouryaki Wings both times I have visited and they are great! Nice mix of Bourbon and Teriyaki flavor. The wings were perfectly cooked and there was even a little extra sauce left on the plate to re-dip them. The fries were excellent and I was with folks that got the Tony T's Italian Grinder and said it was as good as it looked! I was only marginally impressed with the pizza I had during RI Food Fights, but everything else I have had has been great. Some of the best wings around!

So we made it back to finally try the chicken parm! We once again went in on a Tuesday, this time with a large group of about 15 people. My wife and I are geocachers, and a few times a month our geocaching group meets, sometimes at restaurants. We got to host this time around, so we chose Tomasellis. Our server Lou was fantastic. He had a special table set up for us when we arrived, and took great care of us as our guests trickled in. We had a dozen wings to start, half Buff-a-Cue and half Antipasto. Both were great as usual, and then we split the chicken parm. I can't overstate what a great deal this chicken parm dinner is. For $14.99 we got the largest piece of chicken parm I've ever seen, along with a Caesar salad and side of bowtie pasta with pink vodka sauce. It was delicious, and we ended up taking the chicken home and getting two more meals out of it! read more

I became a regular here as a result of the RI Food Fights challenge for two reasons: The service and the food. The first time I ever walked in here, the atmosphere was very unexpected. For a Burger challenge, this place had a very italian-dining hall feel, as if it was meant more for events than for a casual meal. I was totally wrong, and the first impression was completely off. This is a very casual place that I am shocked is completely empty most of the time. They often have amazing wing deals (.25 cents wings on Tuesdays and Saturdays, .50 cents most other times) and they have $5 burgers every Wednesday. This place is a fantastic accommodation for large gatherings because for a low price, you get amazing quality food. Their most popular burger is the Bouriyaki Burger, and for good reason. This bourbon teriyaki hybrid is sweet, salty and savory, and it hits a fantastic note on your tongue. The concoction is ingenius; quite possibly the best burger I ever had. The sauce they put on the burger is also available for wings, so get it if you can! Their hours are quite unusual, so be wary of that. But when you actually go, you'll be extremely glad you did. It is hands down the best eating experience in RI, and I hope it becomes much, much busier in the future. read more
We came here a while back for the burger challenge. We received amazing service and the food was great, so we figured we'd try it again tonight. A few of us sat at the bar which has computer chairs instead of barstools. Genius! They have $.25 wings on Tuesdays. The people I was with ordered four different flavors of wings. We shared an order of fries (highly recommended). I ordered a pizza. Everything was delicious. Our bartender (I think his name is Mike, but I'm terrible with names) was really friendly and attentive. I gave 4 stars because I don't think this bar is for everyone. When you walk in it looks like a banquet hall with a bar area. It's nothing too fancy. But that's exactly what I like. Not too crowded. Friendly people. Great food. read more

Driving through neighborhood after neighborhood of tenement houses... Stop sign after stop sigh, I was thinking of a dozen closer places I probably could have gone. When we finally got there, the parking lot was full. A good sign. We went in. There are maybe ten small tables and a full bar. We sat down and there were couples and little kids eating. Locals, I assume. Another good sign. We were there to try chicken wings as part of the food wars promotion. I had balsamic glazed wings. My friend had garlic and Parmesan wings. We also ordered a spinach pie. Of five places we have been for wings, theirs were the only ones both of us liked. They are seasoned with Italian style seasoning, deep fried, and then given the sauces. Very good. Will be back for more! The spinach pie was also good. Fresh or frozen spinach chopped small. Not canned junk spinach. Good! We were sitting, and the owner introduced himself. He said his son was our waiter. That was nice Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. Could be a five star place. Who knows! read more

The last time I was here was my sisters 6th grade graduation "dance". I guarantee that I don't wait another 26 years to return. Now - let's get a few things out of the way. You aren't coming here for ambiance. It's a function hall at best. So don't expect a romantic, candlelit dinner. It's bright, it's old and it's filled with regulars. Also - because of weekend functions - the kitchen is only open to the public during the week from 5-9 or 10. That being said - it was also really good. Lord of the Wings brought me by. I was flying solo and didn't want to use more than one if my tickets - so I sat at the bar, ordered a beer and looked over the menu. The staff is made of of younger guys - a stark contrast to the older clientele sitting in that night. With several options - I went with the Sahara Hot Buffalo flavor for my wings. Also grabbed a cup of soup and some pasta. Soup came out and was perfect. It was heaping with stock as opposed to watered down with broth. Didn't need any salt or pepper and the provided oyster crackers were fresh - I'm so used to stale one ls this was great. Wings followed and were good as well. Cooked to a crisp skin with an obvious home-made sauce. It was a bit oily but had a good amount of heat and was topped with some Italian spices to add additional flavor to the heat. Pasta was a great portion, meatballs were good too. Seeing some of the other dishes coming out of the kitchen - I'm looking forward to bringing the family back. read more

Went here for the first time for RI Food Fights pizza throw down. What a nice find! Portions are huge...definitely shareable. The chicken parm was the size of a newborn! And it came with 2 sides! We got lucky & hit the 50¢ wing night. They were amazing! Got the pink vodka wings, the antipasto wings, & the bacon ranch wings...mmmm! Pizza was great. Thick, crispy crust. Nice combos to choose from too. We got a buffalo chicken & a ball park pizza...yum! Place was definitely unique. Tables were everywhere. And they had people there selling things & having a raffle. Not sure if it's like this all the time...it was weird. And I must admit, I really didn't like somebody walking to my table asking me to buy raffle tickets; I was there to enjoy a meal, not be solicited. The service was friendly, but incredibly slow. We were there for about two hours... And there was really no excuse for that other than exceptionally slow service. And, I have to admit, I had no idea who our server was; we saw so many different people, it just wasn't clear to us. Took forever to get our check and even longer to get out credit card back. Looks like they cater too, and you can use the banquet hall for functions. Took a peek at that menu...seems pretty reasonable. Definitely would consider this as a venue for a less formal event such as a birthday party. Will definitely be back. read more

Great wings. Outstanding service, Lou the Bartender and Joe the owner were very attentive with lots of suggestions. After reading the reviews my mind was set on trying the French toast wings. The wings did not disappoint. The cooking methods makes these wings stand out. Baked first in a base seasoning then fried and tossed in your choice of sauces made for a great tasting wing with perfectly cooked meat. 4 piece minimum per flavor enabled our group to try over 6 sauces. All were enjoyed. The fresh cut fries we ordered went great with the excess sauce. The chicken parm for $14.95 could easily feed 2 maybe 3 people. That alone is enough to bring me back. Pizzas, calzones, sandwiches, along with burgers, prime rib and Italian dinners on offer. Nice atmosphere for food and drink. A party of 12 walked in and was quickly seated. Lots of food and drinks flowing to a very happy looking group. Horseshoe bar, plenty of tables and 2 large screen TVs. Catering and banquet services available. Looking for a place to take your family or a night out with friends Tomaselli's will meet your needs. Can't wait to go back. $20 Super Bowl Buffet, all you can eat. Looks like a great deal. Currently only open nights. Call ahead hours may vary. read more
I would never have thought to go here for chicken wings but apparently they are famous for them. We went for the chicken wing challenge and there were over 25 varieties of chicken wings to choose from. I got the garlic parm which was loaded with garlic and very good. One friend got the honey mustard which was good but not remarkable because honey mustard is not remarkable. My other friend got the anti pasto flavored chicken wings and they really had the elements of an anti pasto finely chopped and spread on the wings. They were scrumptious. We also got a meat and cheese platter with some bread and it made for a very nice meal along with some drinks. We got there early, probably about 5:30 and were able to be seated right away. By the time we left it was very busy. The thing that I don't like about this place is that you feel like you're sitting in a banquet hall in the middle of everyone else's parties. There were big groups all around us and some at the other end of the large room but it still didn't feel like we were separated from the groups. The food here is always good. We saw an absolute platter size chicken parmesan entree going by and it was just amazing. I love this restaurant but the atmosphere read more
Went to Tomaselli's at Rosario's because I had a chicken wing challenge coupon for free chicken wings. I have to say they were the best chicken wings I've had in a very long time. I tried antipasto chicken wings which is one of approximately 20 different flavors that you could get. And I have to tell you it tasted just like anti pasto. I couldn't imagine how they could get that flavor on those wings. They were delicious. Because there were three of us in a group we also tried the honey mustard chicken wings which were great and the Parmesan garlic chicken wings which were delicious. There was plenty of seating available. The tables had beautiful tablecloths, the chairs were covered in fabric, cloth napkins, and our waiter, Anthony was very informative, casual, didn't hover, , but was there whenever we needed anything. Any questions asked, he was able to answer, and was able to describe the flavors of the wings, and information about the Rosario club. I will definitely the chairman to try all the amazing dishes that passed my table. We also got a cheeseboard which was delicious. Parking was ample, and easy to find off of Union Avenue in Providence. read more

I had to work late today and my husband suggested to try this place. We have been hearing real good things. Come to find out Tuesday nights they have wings for .50. And I can't tell you how many they have to pick from but it's a long list! Maybe next time. I ordered the eggplant parm. It came with a choices two sides. I chose penne and the salad with Italian dressing. My husband picked the chicken parm with the same sides. We also ordered two beers on draft. Our waitress was fantastic! The whole evening. We got a small order of seasoned bread that was toasted with some herbs on it brought to the table. It came with a seasoned oil. Very good but I wish we had a spoon to use to put it on the bread but we just dipped! Tasty. The salad was small but fresh! And our waitress brought us more of the bread and dipping oil! When the dinners came we were blown away with the size! They are served on a square 12x12 plate and it is full! The sauce had a bit more garlic than we liked but we still enjoyed it! My eggplant was very good. It had a bit of a crunch around the edges and was not oily. My husbands chicken was the largest thing I have ever seen! It took up the whole plate! The waitress said that she loves everyone's expression the first time that they see this plate! He liked it a lot. Nice taste; juicy and he has food for the next three days !lol We will try this again. Something different next time. There is plenty of room with lots of tables. It a good size place. read more

Went here for the first time for RI Food Fights Lord Of The Wings. We got three different wings- garlic parm, mango habanero and pink vodka. My favorite were the mango habanero, but honestly my favorite was the main course. I got pink vodka pasta with shrimp and it was incredible. Even the bread was delicious. I will definitely be back for the food read more

Came here for the burger challenge with Rhode Island food fights. We ordered the Mooink and the Bouryaki burger. Both were flavorful but very salty. The mooink has bacon in the patty itself and their burgers are more like a meatball recipie. I didn't try the wings. The prices were decent though we may return. read more

I discovered this place during the RI burger blowout and I love their food! The layout is a bit odd in the large event hall, but the food is incredible. The bouryaki sauce on the burger and the chicken wings was so delicious! The service and prices were also amazing. I highly recommend eating here!! I plan to return often! read more
